The Registered Nurse (RN) is at the core of our world class patient care team. REQUIREMENTS
- The RN in Michigan must complete twenty-five hours of continuing education, with at least two hours in pain and symptom management during the two-year period prior to the renewal of the license.

Position Summary
The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice. They are responsible for all aspects of front office duties assigned by a clinic. Duties include variations of, receptionist duties—greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, assisting patients/families; scheduling, registration, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, operating several types of basic office equipment, etc. This is an intermediate level position requiring excellent customer service skills. It is highly visible, requiring discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner and articulate phone voice. Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co-workers, physicians and the general public.Requirements
- Post high school office procedures preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting
- Customer service experience
- Degree or relevant Certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience

Reporting to the Senior Manager, DFCI Digital Consulting Services, the Senior Digital Health Innovation Analyst partners across IT, operations, clinical, research, and innovation teams to assess opportunities, improve performance and workflows, and deliver high-impact solutions that enhance patient, provider, and staff experiences and/or create sustainable revenue streams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an internal consultant to clinical, research, operational, and administrative teams, leading intake, discovery, and opportunity assessment for digital health innovation; clarify problem statements, user needs, strategic objectives, scope, success metrics, and evaluation approaches.
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical, research, operations, IT, compliance, privacy, security, patient-facing, and staff-facing stakeholders to conduct interviews, workshops, workflow observation, and needs assessment; synthesize findings into feasible digital solutions that address business and clinical challenges.
- Guide the planning, implementation, and delivery of digital health pilots and solutions, partnering with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on approach, timelines, risks, requirements, testing, training, go-live, stabilization, and post-launch optimization to support adoption and operational performance.
- Conduct external benchmarking, market scans, literature and industry research, and vendor/partner engagement to evaluate emerging capabilities, compare leading practices, inform solution selection, support demos and RFP processes, and help manage deliverables, performance, and issue resolution.

As the Sonographer, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, you will perform specialized ultrasounds to assess fetal well-being in pregnant women.
You will assist the Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians in performing ultrasound-guided procedures and inform medical staff in the event of abnormal findings/results.
You will prepare women for exams, including patient positioning to obtain the best possible images. You will participate in the clinical instruction of students as needed.

- Must have attended an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or have had the equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers

Job Summary:
A Patient Care Tech (PCT) at ProMedica plays a vital role in the health and safety of our patients every day. From caring for patients to performing clerical services, a PCT helps all members of the ProMedica health care team while complying with standards, procedures, and policies. A PCT is a genuine ambassador for ProMedica as they interact with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
The PCT assists the patient care team with exams, procedures, obtaining patient data and other processes related to direct patient care. The PCT also ensures an appropriate stock of supplies and equipment is available and functioning properly.
In this role, you will perform tasks related to scheduling procedures, coordinating admission as well as discharge and transfer processes. PCTs answer phones, take messages, and direct calls. You will also pick up and deliver specimens, documents, and other items to contribute to operational efficiency.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Maintains established standards of patient care and policies and procedures of ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital and the nursing department.
- Answers call lights, ensure patient’s needs, acts upon routine requests, or relays information to the proper person.
- Assists patients with or provides personal hygiene care and other routine services patients requiring assistance such as bathing, dressing, shaving, offering, and removing bed pans, and so forth.
- Serves patients with food trays and snacks and removes trays. Assists feeding patients if necessary.
- May obtain and record patient’s vital signs including temperatures, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure readings, patient’s intake and output glucometer checks, patient weights, and other routine pertinent information. Observes patients’ conditions and medical equipment or apparatus reporting all unusual conditions or reactions to the appropriate nursing personnel. May assist nurses and physicians with patient examinations. Initiates and discontinues telemetry monitoring while maintaining a knowledge of the telemetry transmitter (i.e., changing patches, changing batteries).
- Performs rounding in assigned rooms every other hour on patient to determine need for restroom, position change, possessions, and need for additional nursing care. Tidies patients’ rooms, changes bed linens, empties medical apparatus of patient discharges, and performs routine cleaning tasks on the nursing unit, as necessary.
- Assists in admitting patients to the nursing unit, obtaining necessary or specialized supplies or equipment, explaining hospital routines, policies and so forth. Ambulates or assists in the ambulation of patients; assists in lifting patients in order to transfer them to and from wheelchair or wheeled beds; assists patients in walking; and transports patients to other areas of the hospital.
- Assists and maintains participation in performance improvement and customer service improvement activities for patient care. Attends department meetings. Assists with the orientation of new personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Skills: The ability to perform routine patient care functions such as baths, taking temperatures, pulse and respiration and blood pressure. One to four weeks of on-the-job training at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital in order to become familiar with job responsibilities and duties, the work area, and policies and procedures. Must be able to follow routine written and/or verbal instructions. Must have interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with patients of the following ages: Pediatric (8-12 years); adolescent (13-17 years); adult (18-64 years); and geriatric (64 years and above); physicians, other hospital personnel as needed to promote quality patient care. Due to continuously changing patient census/activity and staffing needs, must have the flexibility to work a varying schedule should the need arise, which may require working a varying shift, overtime (greater than 40 hours per week) and/or shift durations that exceed the assigned status for shift length and/or hours per week.

5. Administered preprocedural procedural medications, titrating according to specific patient needs. Also administer chemotherapy and performs procedures safely and efficiently in accordance with Institute policy. May administer blood transfusions.
6. Work as co-sign to Intrathecal Chemotherapy administered by APP.
7. Assists in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient`s physical condition.
8. Maintains awareness of procedural suite activities and works with the Procedure Suite team to maximize workflow.
9. Keeps abreast of changing techniques in procedural nursing and maintains a high level of expertise in critical care.
10. Responsible for intraprocedural monitoring of patients not limited to maintain active airway, assesses effective circulation and respiration via capnography and telemetry monitoring.
11. Safely recover patients post sedation, perform discharge teaching, and evaluate safety of patient discharge.

OVERVIEW
Supplemental Staffing: Per-diem employees are used to cover staffing gaps due to absences, vacancies, or increased census, but are not guaranteed hours.
Weekend Hours: The Weekend Differential Zone starts at 11:00 PM on Friday and ends at 11:00 PM on Sunday. To qualify for the weekend premium there must be at least 2 hours in the zone.
GUIDELINES
Scheduling Process:
- After the 4-week schedule (graph) is completed, per diem shift needs are posted in Kronos.
- Per-diem staff are expected to self-schedule via Kronos Advanced Scheduling or contact their manager in areas using Basic Scheduling.
Monthly Commitment:
- Minimum of 24 worked hours per 4-week schedule, working 12 hour shifts.
- At least 12 of these hours must be night shifts (eligible for differential).
- At least 12 of these hours must be weekend hours, if available.
- If they work a 12 hour shift on the weekend at night it will meet the commitment requirement.
Holiday Commitment:
- One winter holiday: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
- One other holiday: MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day
- Shifts canceled by the hospital will still count toward holiday commitments.
Cross Department Requirements:
- Per diem scheduling obligations must be met on the employees’ home unit before working in other units.
Failure to Meet Requirements:
- May result in corrective action or status review.
Canceled Shifts:
- Shifts canceled by management will count toward scheduling minimums.
- Working a shift to cover another employee does not count toward required hours.

1. Provides clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes seen in patients. Examples, but not limited to changes in skin condition, vital signs, and/or mental status.

10. Assists RN/Licensed Independent Practitioner with treatments and procedures by preparing patient, obtaining equipment and supplies, helping to position patient, providing the patient with emotional support, and cleaning up equipment and supplies following the treatment and/or procedure.
11. Observes, measures, records oral food and fluid intake. Refills tube feeding bags as directed. Empties and records output, as approved, from a variety of sources, e.g., foley catheter, ostomy appliances and drainage systems. Performs ostomy care on established ostomate patients as directed.
12. Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to patients’ needs by acting as a source of information and approaches all interactions with the intention of building positive rapport and relationships.
13. Provides respectful, culturally and age-appropriate communication with patients, staff, family, visitors and others.
14. Replenishes patient and unit supplies and equipment as needed.
15. Requests assistance from identified resources when more direction is needed.
16. Keeps current with hospital and unit changes by reading communication boards and/or books, bulletin boards, posted notices and reads and responds to UMMHC e mails on a regular basis.

MMARY:
Under supervision of the Manager Laboratory Outreach Services or guidance of the Lead Phlebotomist, performs responsibilities associated with obtaining blood and various other patient specimens in accordance with department procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules venipunctures or capillary blood punctures according to priority and type of test, such as timed studies. Utilizes computer-generated collection labels and references Pathology Handbook as necessary to ensure collection of specimens is in accordance with established procedures, i.e., specimens are collected in proper containers and meet special collection requirements as appropriate. Duties are performed according to hospital policy and observance of universal precautions.
Verifies identity of patient following established procedures and proper patient preparation prior to venipuncture such as fasting or special diet.
Obtains blood samples from patient according to venipuncture or capillary puncture technique. Alerts nursing staff or supervisor to any deviations from puncture or adverse patient condition.
Obtains samples for specialized tests (thyroid Releasing hormone, therapeutic drug monitoring, and D-Xylose tolerance). Verifies volume and timing of dosage. May monitor patient as assigned to observe reactions, including Diaphoresis, sleeping, etc.
Performs coagulation tests on outpatients such as bleeding times.
Labels, wraps and transports samples according to type and urgency of sample. Maintains records on sample procurement.
Performs duties according to hospital policy and universal precautions.
Performs various functions associated with the laboratory computer system to assure proper collection and documentation of patient specimens.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
