Job Summary:
A Patient Care Tech (PCT) at ProMedica plays a vital role in the health and safety of our patients every day. From caring for patients to performing clerical services, a PCT helps all members of the
ProMedica health care team while complying with standards, procedures and policies. A PCT is a genuine ambassador for ProMedica as they interact with patients, visitors and co-workers.
The PCT assists the patient care team with exams, procedures, obtaining patient data and other processes related to direct patient care. The PCT also ensures an appropriate stock of supplies and equipment is available and functioning properly.
In this role, you will perform tasks related to scheduling procedures, coordinating admission as well as discharge and transfer processes. PCTs answer phones, take messages and direct calls. You will also pick up and delivers specimens, documents and other items to contribute to operational efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills, ability to read and write, and communicate or respond to inquiries.
- CPR certification prior to performing direct care; training provided.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a medical setting.
- No specialized education or certification is required to apply. On-the-job training will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need.

Summary:

Summary:
Serves as a member of the MHP Administrative team and assists with leading direction and strategic planning to achieve the organization's mission, directives, and goals. Departments operate in an interdisciplinary team fashion to provide patient-focused care.Participates in, and at times, leads system-wide task forces focused on clinical practice issues and solutions.Leads departmental financial planning to ensure cost-efficient operations and to maximize profitability.Monitors and evaluates operations to ensure compliance with established professional, regulatory, and organizational standards/requirements.Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide business processes, support the delivery of services, and ensure a culture of quality , safety, satisfaction and family centered care.Collaborates with administrative leadership to determine organizational priorities and goals. Summary:
The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Follows established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice. The Assistant Supervisor may perform administrative and supervisory responsibilities of the laboratory section assuming additional technical or non-technical responsibilities as needed.
* 5 days/week. Weekends included
- Experience with a minimum of 5 years working in hospital lab in Hematology and Chemistry, highly preferred.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology is seeking a full time BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist. The successful candidate will be an energetic and collaborative individual who is committed to exemplary patient care, quality and safety, patient experience and educational excellence. Our Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Division includes three experienced pediatric hematologists, oncologists and a dedicated nurse specialist. Our pediatric hematology oncology practice includes very active outpatient and inpatient services. The physician will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team which includes specialized nursing, pediatric surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, radiation oncology, pediatric neurology, pediatric psychology, interventional radiology, pediatric procedural sedation, pediatric anesthesiology, and child life specialists. We are an active member in good standing with Children’s Oncology Group with most of the Phase II and Phase III COG sponsored clinical trials opened and have good clinical data research associate support. While we will consider junior faculty, mid-career physicians with an interest in or additional training in neuro-oncology are preferred.Job Duties:
- Hematology services include diagnosis and management of all primary hematological disorders including sickle cell disease, bleeding disorders, anemia, and thrombotic disorders.
- Oncology services include expertise in treating leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors and an expanding neuro-oncology service. Our program includes good standing membership in the Children’s Oncology Group and offers clinical trials for the majority of pediatric cancers. We are part of NCI funded National Community Oncology research program through our adult oncology program, and we provide access to treatment for adolescents and young adults.
- Geisinger Janet Weis children’s Hospital, Danville Department of Pediatrics have set up multiple satellite clinics across central Pennsylvania and this position also incorporates seeing patients across multiple clinics in Northeast Pennsylvania and with the role for expanding out footprints in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center Wilkes Barre.
- Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital has developed a bidirectional and multidimensional affiliation with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. This highly collaborative and productive relationship allows us to care for complex pediatric oncology patients here at our children’s hospital - keeping families close to home during very difficult times. In addition, the affiliation allows our division rapid access to CHOP’s world-renowned quaternary capabilities such as Blood and Marrow Transplant, Proton Therapy and CAR T-Cell Therapy.
Janet Weis Children’s Hospital (JWCH) is located on Geisinger’s Danville campus and is the region’s only dedicated 5-floor, 91 bed children's hospital with a highly successful hospitalist service and a 14 bed pediatric intensive care unit staffed with 24/7 in-house attending coverage. Children requiring non-PICU admission for hematologic or oncologic disorders are admitted to the pediatric hematology-oncology service. JWCH’s team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including a 41-bed Level IV NICU and 14 bed Level I PICU.
The Department of Pediatrics provides the full range of inpatient medical and surgical subspecialty services, including pediatric hospitalists, critical care, neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology, genetics, infectious disease, and the full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties. We have active outpatient services including outreach clinics in general and subspecialty pediatrics. The successful applicant will participate in, and contribute to, the department’s established clinical and scholarly activities.
Teaching and mentorship responsibilities include medical students from several affiliated institutions, and residents in our fully accredited categorical Pediatric and Internal Medicine/Pediatric residency programs. An academic teaching appointment is available through Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Many resources and opportunities exist to conduct clinical and translational research and within the Genomic Medicine Institute.

As a phlebotomist, you'll support Geisinger’s mission of providing exceptional patient care through innovative, efficient, and high-quality laboratory services. At Geisinger, our phlebotomists are the friendly faces that collect samples to be analyzed by our state-of-the-art labs. The Health Information Management (HIM) Health Records Analyst manages patient data within the healthcare facility, ensuring the accuracy, organization, and security of health records. Additionally, this position provides reasonable assurance to the organization that patient care and satisfaction remain a priority within the day-to-day operations. This is achieved by compiling, processing, maintaining, and sustaining medical records of hospital and clinic patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the healthcare system.Job Duties:
- Learns the fundamentals of health records and health information management (HIM).
- Learns the terminal digit order filing system to appropriately locate historical paper and microfilmed medical records as requested.
- Develops a general understanding of Epic Chart Desk.
- Develops an understanding of policies/procedure documented in the systems policy repository specific to job role.
- Processes health records as applicable (i.e. paper medical record scanning, adoption cases, chart destruction/retention, unidentified patient assignment/merges, date of death processing, medical record assignment, etc.).
- Answers phone calls, satisfies requests, and relays messages as associated with the role.
- Develops an understanding of scanning methodologies (ex. HIM scans, Fax Image Management System (FIMS), Clinic scanning etc.).
- Develops a familiarity of all areas of HIM/locations and the role each team plays.
- Learns what a duplicate medical record is, how to identify/report, etc.
- General understanding of chart corrections, to appropriately direct callers and assist as needed.

Job Duties:
May perform a wide variety of advanced patient care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures, and practices. Facilitates entrance of new patients into care programs. Provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition, and provides ongoing continuity of care for patients.
This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; Days.
A minimum of 2 years related experience is required.

Job Duties:
- Responsible for the coordination of pre and post hospital care.
- Serves as the liaison between the patient and caregivers.
- Coordinates appropriate multidisciplinary clinics.
- Performs duties as a patient navigator guiding incoming calls and facilitating entrance of new patients into the multi-disciplinary program.
- Facilitates entrance of new patients into care programs.
- Provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition, and provides ongoing continuity of care for patients.
- Provides clinical support to the provider and patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions.
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers in coordinating and implementing the patient's plan of care including evaluation, treatment, follow-up and surveillance.
- Communicates with patient via mail, telephone, and in person regarding information pertinent to their care Coordinates patient and interdisciplinary activities to meet the needs of a defined group of patients.
- Acts as an effective resource.
- Coordinat's patient activities through the interdisciplinary clinics as appropriate.
- Reinforces patient and family education based on individual needs either in person or by telephone.
- Coordinates patient activities through available support services, such as support groups and social services as appropriate.
- Maintains systems and processes to assure timely follow-up and surveillance of post-follow-up patients.
- Provides nursing care and assists physician and procedures.
- Educates other team members in area of expertise.

Education:
Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Nursing (Preferred)Experience:
