The Mother Baby Unit is a 27 bed, couplet care unit. The nursing team is dedicated to delivering exceptional, family-centered care for parents and newborns. We support our families through one of life’s most meaningful journeys by focusing on breastfeeding support, education, and after discharge resources. The nursing team has a strong commitment to patient experience, quality outcomes, and teamwork. Expectations We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

$19.80 - $29.70Major Responsibilities:- Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety. Assesses patient reactions to specimen procurement.
- Performs Venipuncture and collects other specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to established protocol. Obtains medical assistance when judged necessary.
- Obtains specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times. Ensures completion of specimen collection functions according to protocol. Ensures that specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing. Resolves specimen identification and/or requisition problems and clarifies requests.
- Performs limited testing under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), 1988 guidelines according to established policies and procedures.
- Answers and screens telephone calls. Assists with inventory and maintains supplies and/or equipment. Provides assistance in support of Billing and other business functions.
- Accepts specimens from a variety of internal and external customers. Receives and sorts specimens. Packages and tracks specimens for transport. Processes specimens for testing, including aliquoting, pre-analytical steps, and loading instruments, while maintaining proper specimen identification. Responds to additional specimen procurement requests via pager or other means.
- Orders and verifies test requests. Documents appropriate information for quality assurance/improvement according to established protocol. Runs quality control checks. Takes appropriate action to notify providers of stat, critical and other abnormal results as defined by policy and procedure.
- Performs laboratory result entry in the computer system.
- Performs internal and external proficiency testing in the same manner as patient samples. Reviews various pending and management reports. Generates and distributes reports.
- Instructs employees and students in phlebotomy, data entry and specimen processing functions.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.

Major Responsibilities:
- Performs and/or assists in surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including epidural steroid injections, neuro stimulator electrode implants, trigger point injections, lumbar sympathetic blocks, regional IV administrations, epidural catheter insertions, radio frequency ablations (RFA's), nerve injections with neurolysis, discographies, vertebralplasties and kyphoplasties.

Major Responsibilities:
o Assists with patient care activities and related services under the supervision/delegation of the registered nurse and/or physician including but not limited to intraprocedural support. Assists physicians with accurate retrieval of specimens, specimen preservation, labeling and transportation of specimens to lab.
o Assists in initiating and/or collaborating with the team for all safety initiatives such as timeout process, traceability of equipment used, and reporting of safety events. ·Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
·Properly identify (Using two patient identifiers) and assist patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures. Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets.
· Interviews patients for a complete medical history. Reviews in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history. Records medical history on requisitions. Correlates other test results and laboratory data with exam being performed.
·Assumes responsibility for the exam from beginning of exam until completion of dictated results.
·Prepares and administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols. On request, records contrast type and amount.

· Performs basic patient care functions. Informs appropriate nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition. Initiates life support measures for patients when necessary. Assists in “code blue” procedures during medical emergencies.

Physical Requirements

- Provide operational leadership for Environmental Services (EVS), Linen, and Food & Nutrition Services within the assigned market, collaborating with Managers of Support Services to drive consistency, best practices, and operational synergies.
- Create and oversee service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality metrics to ensure market‑level performance targets are achieved; lead root cause analysis when performance gaps are identified.

Interprets physician referrals and conducts a speech and language evaluation of patients with various speech, language, voice, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
Establishes a written plan of care and implements individual treatment based on evaluation results, functional goals and by utilizing appropriate techniques. Monitors and evaluates outcomes and appropriately adjusts the individualized treatment plan based on the patient's response to treatment and provides status updates to physicians and other teammates. Identifies factors affecting patient's physical and psychosocial comfort and attends to these needs.
Plans for and completes patient discharge including providing written home programs, patient/family teaching, referral for community services, transition planning within the continuum of care and ordering equipment as indicated/appropriate. The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
Essential Functions
- Assess: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate).
