Performs mammographic procedures under the direct supervision of a radiologist. Operates mammographic equipment with proficiency, utilizing radiation safety practices and departmental protocols to produce a high-quality examination.
Major Responsibilities:
Verifies patient ID armband and validates proof of identity.
Reviews patient mammography medical history and correlates prior mammograms to ensure the correct examination is being performed.
Performs digital imaging acquisition and recognizes factors that affect image acquisition, display, archiving, and retrieval.
Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a radiologist if needed.
Assists radiologist during invasive procedures and practices proper sterile technique in the assembling of necessary supplies.
Reports malfunctioning equipment to the department supervisor. Performs troubleshooting and minor repair procedures under the direction of clinical engineering.
Maintains patient records to include completing orders correctly, charging exams and supplies and verifying correct exam was sent to PACS.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
ARRT certification in Radiology and advanced registry from the ARRT in Mammography within six months of hire required.
BLS required.
Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA and ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology required. The R.T. must have met the federal mammography training requirements as specified in the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992(MQSA).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
This position requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies. Must be able to push, pull, and lift weights of up to 600 pounds with assistance. Requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending and lifting.Required to stretch, bend, twist, squat, and kneel in the daily operation of the Mammography department. Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces and climbing stairs. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity. Required to use radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation.

Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
Major Responsibilities
Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.

Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

- Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.
- Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities. Obtaining accurate information at the point of registration helps ensure timely payment to the organization and prevents billing issues and patient complaints. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding patient personal/financial information and medical records in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

$21.85 - $32.80Primary Purpose The Advanced Authorization Specialist is responsible for all aspects involved in obtaining highly complex authorizations for a multitude of In-patient and Out-patient Services. The Advanced Authorization Specialist must be knowledgeable and have a thorough understanding of Commercial and Government payors with regards to Coordination of Benefits, Authorization guidelines, Pharmacy and Medical Benefit variances, as well as Medical Necessity Policies. The Advanced Authorization Specialist is responsible for reading and interpreting various complex medical records to obtain authorizations for requested services and treatment plans. Communication with clinic staff, providers, Pharmacists, and insurance companies is essential to ensure completed peer reviews, relay updated medical and specialty drug policies, and appeals. They work closely with the Hospital and Provider Denial Management Teams to review monthly denials and assess opportunities for retro-active authorizations and determine root cause analysis. Major Responsibilities- Assess time sensitive Referral Work Queues to obtain highly complex authorizations including IP/OP Chemotherapy, Radiology, specifically related to Oncology treatment plans, IP/OP Surgeries, Molecular and Genetic Laboratory Testing, specialty related PT/OT and Speech Therapy, Psychiatry, Neuro/Psych Evaluations, and Rehab evaluations.
- Manage high volume Stat request mailbox for all oncology facilities for potential life altering, high-cost treatment and procedures within a short time frame. Expected treatment within 1-3 days.
- Interpret medical records to determine initial and disease progression to prove medical necessity for ordered services and complete on-line clinical requests for advanced authorization.
- Manage Atrium Health preferred drug list (chemotherapy/immunotherapy/supportive drugs) with payors and correlate changes with oncology pharmacy.
- Manage Atrium Health drug formulary changes with authorization updates with payors.
- Review laboratory panels for Bone Marrow Biopsies to authorize Molecular Lab Studies, diagnosis specific.
- Review and address monthly denials for Chemotherapy Drugs, Molecular Labs and surgeries with payors and Atrium Health Denial Management Teams (HBO/PBO).
Education
Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of authorization experience required.

Specialist technologists analyzes blood, urine, and bone marrow and body fluid specimens in order to provide data that helps our physicians determine the best treatment for their patient. Automated and manual techniques are routinely used to properly evaluate samples in patients with a wide range of clinical conditions. Testing responsibilities include moderate and high complexity assays which are performed in compliance with accrediting organizations as well as departmental policies and procedures. The specialist technologist may be required to evaluate results, troubleshoot, and assist in developing new test methods. This position provides direct line supervision to professional and technical staff in the Stem Cell Processing Lab section. The specialist technologist coordinates and assists in teaching and training students and residents, as well as maintenance of the lab section's QA, regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a chemical, physical or biological science from an accredited university and meets other technologist qualifications.
Experience:
Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant laboratory tech and/or leadership experience.

Essential Functions:
1. Adheres to general hospital standards. Follows hospital policies and procedures. Follows departmental policies and procedures. Contributes to the overall work environment by utilizing appropriate communication skills and interpersonal relationships. Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures.
2. Ensures accurate and timely performance of laboratory testing. Performs procedures as indicated in the procedure manual with minimal supervision and within the required turn-around time without compromising quality. Correctly collects, accessions and/or accurately labels specimens. Responds to STAT priority samples immediately. Demonstrates competency to perform all procedures accurately.
3. Ensures quality of laboratory testing. Follows QC procedures and evaluates QC prior to releasing patient result and dispensing of products. Records and reviews results for accuracy and before reporting in the LIS. Demonstrates the ability to perform and document accurately all procedures related to critical values, technical limit failures and QA activities. Demonstrates the ability to recognize a problem, seek advice if needed and resolve if possible.
4. Follows proper safety and identification procedures in all aspects of laboratory testing. Properly identifies patients prior to sample collection. Identifies specimens at the time of receipt and notifies coworkers and involved lab sections when misidentifications are encountered. Labels samples and reports in a legible manner throughout the testing process. Ensures that results are reported for the correct specimen. Demonstrates the ability to perform and document accurately all procedures related to blood product preparation, dispensing and labeling in compliance with GMP regulatory requirements and Blood Bank QA activities.
5. Improves work skills through self-study and continuing education. Information from written documents and other communications are reviewed and appropriately applied. Manuals and procedure bulletins are used as reference and learning tools. Available educational opportunities and materials are utilized to enhance professional development. In-house continuing education programs are attended. Minimum of 4 hours of continuing education/year are completed outside of annual in-service requirements.
6. Contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of the section and department. Able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Covers assigned work area and assists the team in covering other areas that need assistance. Answers the phone and follows through on all requests appropriately. - Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.

11B provides patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a 24-hour basis. It is a 19-bed unit with all private rooms with an RN to patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5. Most commonly, we care for patients with an injury because of a traumatic event like a motor vehicle accident, motorcycle accident, gunshot wound or fall with injury. These patients most commonly will have orthopedic injuries, an orthopedic diagnoses requiring surgical intervention, or other traumatic injuries requiring acute care. This role provides the opportunity to care for a high-acuity patient population within a nationally recognized comprehensive stroke and neuroscience program while working alongside a collaborative team of neurointensivists, APPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists.
Position Highlights

- Night shift coverage: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

- Perform comprehensive assessments and daily management of critically ill neuro patients
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Participate in admissions, consultations, and multidisciplinary rounds

- Perform bedside procedures consistent with training and credentialing
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists, therapists, and consulting services

Clinical responsibilities:

That work includes complete and accurate capture of information related to patient demographics, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibility. The PSR helps prevent the loss of revenue and impacts operating margins through the accuracy and timeliness of their workflows. The PSR ensures mandated regulations are followed and patient satisfaction is optimized. The PSR plays a crucial role in connecting a variety of departments for the overall success of the patient’s experience and the organization’s financial success. Often works without direct supervision present.
Major Responsibilities:
- Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.
- Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities. Obtaining accurate information at the point of registration helps ensure timely payment to the organization and prevents billing issues and patient complaints. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding patient personal/financial information and medical records in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Knows insurance basics and recognizes commercial and government plans. Understands which plans Advocate Health contracts with and when a statement of financial responsibility is needed. Understands and discusses financial information and obligations with patients. Knows how and when to refer patients to Financial Advocates.
- Has knowledge of which rules, forms and questions must be enforced to make sure Advocate Health remains compliant with government agencies and regulations. - Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.

$75.40 - $120.65Major Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Senior Finance Leader prepares proformas or financial analyses to meet organization decision making needs.
- Leads the budget process for the site(s), including establishing the timing, methods and process for the budget. Establishes controls and processes that insures the integrity of the budget. Directs or prepares revenue budget for the organization, including gross revenues, contractuals and bad debts/charity. Quantifies and budgets revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities. Assists the Senior Finance Leader and site leadership in identifying financial improvement opportunities.
- Leads the forecast process in a similar manner.
- Works collaboratively with site department leaders and SRCO to help improve site financial performance, including improved labor productivity, cost management, revenue capture, denials reduction, and other areas.
- Directs the site capital process, including the capital request and approval process, tracking and reporting of capital dollars, and preparation of proformas and other financial analyses as directed. Staffs the site capital committee.
- Prepares presentations, reports and other information for the Senior Finance Leader and executive team as requested. May present financial information at management team meetings.
- Serves as a resource/liaison for site(s) or service line leadership, corporate finance staff (general accounting and reimbursement, etc.) departments and functions that directly affect the financial performance, and revenue cycle (including managed care), health information management, system logistics, and information technology for the site(s) or service line by providing guidance on policies and procedures, provides direction of financial statement preparation process, consultation on specific finance-related issues or day-to-day operations issues, notification regarding material issues impacting net reimbursement, etc.
- Oversees, explains and interprets close results for site(s) or service line leadership. Partners with leadership to review and reconcile unusual expenses, unfavorable variances, or cost saving opportunities. Directs the production of reports and distributions to the organization.

- Leads site(s) or service line productivity huddle while partnering with operational leaders to assist in achieving labor productivity and cost management goals.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Education Required:
- Master's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Finance or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 7 years of experience in financial operations which includes experiences overseeing financial operations and developing and executing financial strategies within a large complex organization. Healthcare experience preferred. Includes 3 years of management experience in financial management.

- Excellent relational skills and ability to get things done through teamwork, persuasion and influence
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with executive boards, teams, physicians and staff. Formal presentation and business writing skills. Ability to explain complex financial information in ways non-financial people can understand and relate to.
- Excellent analytical skills, including ability to review quantitative and qualitative data and reach sound conclusions
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills, including ability to partner with operations leaders to improve financial management of organization resources.
- Strong understanding of health care dynamics and economics as it relates to the profitability of various services and the margin contribution available with marginal investment.
