As an Advanced Practice Provider in Family Medicine you’ll work with multiple other Physicians, and Advanced Practice Providers to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day you’ll collaborate with several Medical Assistants, and PSRs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current state license as a Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Credentialing requirement).

- Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of experience required.-Not accepting new graduate applicants at this time.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 800+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant committed to a multidisciplinary team approach to care and interested in growing a practice as part of a dedicated family medicine program within a multispecialty medical group framework. We are seeking an advanced practice provider to join a growing team serving the rapidly expanding Middleton community. Under the direction of a supervising physician, the advanced practice provider will deliver comprehensive primary care services to patients across the continuum of care. The family medicine practice is designed to support up to five primary care providers and will be co-located with an urgent care service. Upon opening, urgent care services are planned to operate seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The clinic also features a procedure room, laboratory, and on-site x-ray services. The ideal candidate will commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care while demonstrating and modeling our organization’s core values of reverence, a commitment to those who are poor, justice, stewardship, and integrity.
The provider will also ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated. The qualified candidate must be passionate about family health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
SAMG utilizes EPIC Electronic Health Record (EMR) in its clinics. Thus, experience with EHR is desirable.
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho; Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- A strong medical background and a desire to provide acute care to support a growing multi-specialty medical group. In providing this support, you will obtain an Idaho medical licensure to maintain and strengthen the Health System's general internal program across all communities we serve.
Community: You will have the opportunity to serve the community in a suburb of a mid-sized metropolitan area (Boise metro area, pop. 840,000+) as part of a dedicated family medicine and urgent care group practice. This opportunity is based in Middleton, Idaho, with a population of approximately 11,700 and a rapidly growing market area; you can expect to enjoy the support of a large health system and a well-organized multispecialty group practice. Middleton offers a unique blend of small-town charm, agricultural heritage, and significant residential growth while maintaining convenient access to the greater Treasure Valley.

CORE FUNCTIONS

2. Verifies and understands insurance benefits, Collects patient responsibility based on estimates at the time of service or during the pre-registration process. 3. May provide financial counseling to patients and their families. Explains company financial policies and provides information as to available resources. Assists patients with applying for Medicaid. Assists patients with completing all financial assistance programs (i.e.: basic financial assistance, enhanced financial assistance, prompt pay discount, loan program).
4. Acts as a liaison between the patient, the billing department, vendors, physician offices and the payor to enhance account receivables performance and meet payment collection goals, resolve outstanding issues and/or patient concerns and maximize service excellence.
5. Communicates with physicians, clinical and hospital staff, nursing and Health Information Management Services to resolve outstanding issues and/or patient concerns. Work to meet the patient’s needs in financial services.
6. Consistently meets monthly individual productivity goal as determined by management. Completes daily assignments/work lists, keeps electronic productivity log up to date and inputs information accurately. Identifies opportunities to improve process and practices good teamwork.
7. Provides a variety of patient services and financial services tasks. May be assigned functions such as transporting patients, may precept new hire employees, recapping daily deposits, posting daily deposits or conducting other work assignments of the Patient Financial Services team.
8. Works independently under regular supervision and follows structured work routines. Works in a fast paced, multi task environment with high volume and immediacy needs requiring independent decision making and sound judgment to prioritize work and ensure appropriateness and timeliness of each patient’s care. $20.80 - $31.20Job Summary: The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is responsible for completing patient registration duties including but not limited to collecting and validating accurate patient demographic and insurance information, obtaining pre-certification or authorization as required, and entering all necessary information into Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC) ADT system. The PSR is responsible for informing the patient of their estimated liability, collecting patient liabilities, identifying patients in need of financial assistance and referring patients to financial counseling as necessary. This position requires multi-tasking and effective problem solving skills. It is expected that the PSR will foster positive relationships with all patients in an effort to provide quality service.
Education/Experience:

What You'll Do:
- Greet patients arriving for their appointments. Monitor patient flow to ensure patients are cared for in the most efficient and courteous manner.
- Ensure all patient demographic and insurance information is complete and accurate
- Complete the registration process on walk-in patients, verifies and / or updates patient demographic and insurance information if changes or additions have occurred
- Verify insurance benefits. Obtain, calculate and collect the patient's out of pocket financial liability. Request and collect past due and present balances or estimates due
- Follow the Financial Clearance policy for non-urgent patient services if financial clearance has not been completed or authorization has not been obtained, when appropriate
- Identify patients in need of financial assistance and refers patients to Financial Counselor
- Perform visit closure, including but not limited to checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointment(s), collecting additional patient responsibility (when applicable) and providing patient with appropriate documents.
- Maintain knowledge of and reference materials of the following: Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer requirements, guidelines and policies, insurance plans requiring pre-authorization/referral and a list of current accepted insurance plans.
- Proactively communicate issues involving customer service and process improvement opportunities to management
- Meet productivity requirements to ensure excellent service is provided to customers
- Meet or exceed performance expectations of 98% accuracy rate and established department productivity measurements.
- Maintain excellent public relations with patients, families, and clinical staff as well as demonstrates a willingness and ability to work collaboratively with others for concise and timely flow of information
