Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion during all interactions.

We’re Looking For:
Licensure or Certifications
· LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
· MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.

Degrees:
· GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
· MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
What You’ll Do:
As a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
· Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
· Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
· Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
· Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
· Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
· Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
· Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Minimum six months experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred. One year experience with patients preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Registered and certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire. Certifications from other areas of specialty required. BCLS (CPR) certification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures.
- Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings. Contributes to the overall quality of services.
- Performs or assists in performing diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures in accordance with the applicable state Regulation for Protection Against Radiation.
- Maintains appropriate education and credentials.
- Maintains coordination of activities with others to accomplish work objectives.
- Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergencies.
- Maintains knowledge of procedures, equipment and systems used to perform job functions.
- Ensures availability of supplies and readiness of equipment.
- Ensures accurate patient records via correct data entry, validation and archival of images.
- Performs and maintains competency for point of care testing as assigned, ensuring compliance with WFBH Point of Care policies and with applicable state and federal regulations (where applicable).
- Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote improved quality of patient care.
- Provides emergency on-call coverage after normal working hours as required.

4. Functions as a liaison between non physician staff and physicians to ensure effective service for patients. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with group physicians. Serves as a role model and resource person for providing quality patient care and patient information as needed.
5. Maintains office policies and procedures in accordance with physician requirements, facility and system policies and procedures, standard practices of the profession, and related regulatory requirements.
6. Determines physical maintenance and equipment needs and repairs and coordinates internal or external resources. Resolves problems relating to the facility on a day-to-day basis. Ensures all areas are appropriately stocked and supplies are readily accessible.
7. Covers front and/or back office functions. May also administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures or as directed, and consistent with demonstrated competencies and state scope of practice.
8. This position has a strong understanding of the daily workflow of the practice and functions autonomously to provide guidance to ensure quality patient experiences and efficient practice operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Job Description

Our outpatient programs provide patient centered care in family medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics and behavioral health. Training includes an orientation period allowing you to become familiar with each departments work flows. What you will do:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients.
