Baptist Health invasive cardiac services, where compassionate care meets advanced treatment and research. Our three units encompass the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, and Cardiovascular Observation Unit. Our invasive Cardiac Services include cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, percutaneous catheter interventions, cardiac MEMs, interventional neurology, interventional radiology, cardiac ablations, pacemakers/defibrillators, left atrial appendage occlusion devices, loop recorder implants, transesophageal echocardiograms, and electrical cardioversions. The cardiovascular observation unit also serves as our preoperative and postoperative area. At Baptist Health, we treat the whole person, offering hope and strength on every patient’s journey.
Description:
- Provides healthcare services using cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedures.
- Arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices
- Assisting physicians during electrophysiology procedures.
- Competent in: Atrial and Ventricular Ablation procedures; LAAO Procedures and Lead Extractions.
- Assisting physicians during the implantation of permanent pacemakers / ICDs3.
- Performing digital imaging techniques.
- Aseptic technique.
- Management of complications such as but not limited to, air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis reactions, perforations of vessels and cardiac tamponade.
- Complies with regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrates professional judgment in performance of services and maintains demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree.
- Certificate for Radiologic Technologist.
- Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry in Radiography RT (R) required within 90 days of hire date.
- Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
- ACLS certification within one year of hire.
- Obtain NIHSS certification upon completion of Neurovascular orientation.

Department/Position Overview:
This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with 6 beds dedicated to a lock down psychiatric screening and treatment area. We are a stroke certified ED and receive STEMI and psychiatric patients. The ED treats about 150 patients per day with a dedicated radiology suite in the ED for plain film and CT imaging. We have a diverse nursing and ED Tech team.
Education:
- ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
Certification:
- Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
- BLS
- TNCC preferred
Experience:
- RN Experienced in a hospital setting.
- RN Experience in the ED highly preferred.

Position Summary
The Pulmonary APP provides specialty care to adult patients with chronic and complex respiratory conditions and in pulmonary clinic settings. Working in collaboration with the supervising physician, the APP delivers evidence-based evaluation, education, and management for patients with conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary nodules. Additionally, this role may encompass the management of sleep disorders. The role supports access, continuity, and team-based care within the pulmonary service line.Responsibilities • Evaluate and manage adult patients with pulmonary conditions in an outpatient clinic setting. • Conduct history taking, physical exams, and review of diagnostic studies to guide clinical decision making. • Develop and implement treatment plans for pulmonary conditions. • Monitor and adjust therapies including inhalers, oxygen, and medications as clinically indicated. • Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and lifestyle management. • Communicate and coordinate care with supervising physicians, primary care providers, and specialists. • Document accurately and timely in the electronic health record. • Participate in follow-up of imaging, labs, and pulmonary function testing. • Support patient access through timely follow-up and chronic disease monitoring workflows. • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to evidence-based pulmonary care. Requirements • Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing or Physician Assistant program • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, Adult or Family Medicine or national certification as a PA-C • Unrestricted nursing license or physician assistant medical license(or ability to obtain) in Washington State. • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $156,600.00 - $160,800.00 USD. Provides safe, efficient and courteous service to customers/ patients and visitors and staff. Prioritizes service needs and performs customer service duties to include transports, escorts, equipment requests and basic patient care.
Pay Range:
$18.85 - $28.30Essential Functions
- Role models a positive Advocate Health image to patients, visitors and staff by adhering to Our Advocate Health Way.
- Perform excellence customer service in transporting daily.
- Provide guest/transport services to include; transports, transfers, discharges, admissions, escorts, materials and equipment including transport of patients with medical devices/equipment (oxygen cylinders, intravenous pumps, PCA pumps, wound vac, etc.)
- Coordinate activities to guide patients, visitors/guests, and staff to desired designations within the facilities.
- Posses the ability to adjust the liter flow and determine PSI in an oxygen cylinder as well as the ability to transfer canula tubing for wall unit to/from cylinder.
- Perform safe patient handling to include; moving patient, patient lifts, patient transfers (stand-pivot and lateral), etc.
- Provide education to patients and visitors/guests (room orientation, transport process, etc.) and answer questions regarding essential support services or provide the appropriate resource(s).
- Use capacity management system and equipment to process task (Encompass/Epic, I Phone, Halo, computer, etc.)
- Assist with care and maintenance of transport equipment to ensure equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use. Inspect equipment before and after use to identify defective equipment. Report defective equipment immediately to supervisor.
- Monitor facilities to ensure environment is safe and clean (ensuring unattended equipment is removed from hallways, not blocking electrical panels, fire extinguishers or emergency exits)
- Maintain equipment inventory throughoutfacilities; stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, oxygen cylinders and carriers, IV poles, etc.
- Complete and maintain required training, educational programs, and certification.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Adhere to Advocate Health and departmental policies and procedures.
Works in an indoor/outdoor fast-paced, customer-oriented environment. Lengthy periods of standing and walking. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds for moving and lifting patients. Ability to push/pull all patient transport equipment. Ability to present a good working relationship with all departments. Ability to prioritize workload. Exposure to hazardous materials.
