The Director position responsibilities include overseeing the activities of the department staff, ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence and efficiency to accomplish strategic and operational objectives. In addition, this position is accountable for employee engagement, adequate staffing levels, budget development and compliance, staffing decisions such as hiring and terminating employment, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment. This position also ensures training, monitoring and operations initiatives are implemented which secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and accreditation/regulatory/government regulations.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree one of which is nursing. If no current Master’s degree must obtain within two years; must be enrolled in a degree program at time of transfer/hire

- Three years experience in a clinical setting, two of those years with people management experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure – Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency) and
- Magnet-ANCC Recognized Leadership Certification within 1 year

- Directs, develops and implements strategic and operational/high level projects and processes either through independent/highly autonomous work or through the facilitation of work teams to enable the effective and efficient completion of objectives.
- Oversees management of and ensures development for staff to meet overall objectives in terms of quality, service and cost effectiveness. SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversees department operations, designated projects, schedules and activities as needed to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame. Sets priorities and functional standards, giving direction to staff as necessary to ensure the best possible delivery of service and high customer/patient satisfaction.
- Drives department service standards and activities to impact department and/or system score for patient/customer-based satisfaction, through role modeling and fostering accountability. Serves and actively participates on various entity committees as a voice for the department.
- Maintains 24-hour/7-days a week accountability and authority for decisions regarding patient care, department operations and personnel management for designated unit(s).
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensures a safe and effective working environment; monitors and/or revises the department safety plan and/or any specific accreditation/regulatory required safety guidelines. Responsible for staff maintenance of credentials and competencies, per accrediting/licensing agency and/or department guidelines as applicable.
- Employs a proactive approach in the optimization of safe outcomes and information systems by monitoring and improving the department workflow and enhancing operations, using peer-to-peer accountability and identifying solutions via collaboration. Implements process improvements utilizing tools such as lean principles. Role models situational awareness, using teachable moments to improve safety.
- Responsible for employee compliance to policies and procedures and performs associated actions upon non-compliance (i.e., licensure/certification compliance, focal point review requirements, disaster plan, in-services, influenza immunization, wage and hour, standard hours, timely termination submission, timely timecard approval, etc.).
- Remains current and proficient with regulatory requirements for the provision of clinical services. Translates the requirements into operations to ensure compliance. Uses automated systems to access, transmit and produce information.
- Coordinates the provision of comprehensive, interprofessional patient care that results in clinical excellence, optimal outcomes and maximum patient and family satisfaction.
FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops and manages department operational and capital budgets, approvals, and ongoing maintenance of the department(s), ensuring operation in a cost-effective manner. Proactively identifies and plans for capital needs related to current equipment and future department projects. Ensures staffing plans and schedules meet department needs that reflect understanding of the importance of cost-effectiveness.
- Creates department strategies to achieve financial target and staffing needs, through optimizing productivity, supply/resource efficiency, minimizing incidental overtime and overtime percentage, and other areas according to department specifications.
- Projects anticipated volume and demand for resources, conducts cost analysis, analyzes, and monitors budget reports and variances, evaluating human and material resource utilization and making necessary adjustments. Analyzes and interprets complex data sets and reports (variance analysis, financial/quality, population specific reports).
GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identifies and implements innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes to improve department, entity or system operations by leading unit projects and/or other department/ system-directed activities. Proactively leads task forces and committees. May represent HM at assigned community or professional organization meetings.
- Drives change initiatives, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures. Partners effectively with stakeholders as appropriate.
- Ensures own career discussions occur with appropriate management. Completes and updates My Development Plan (MDP) on an on-going basis. Conducts conversations with staff on their development and MDP.

The Clinical pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medications. He/she provides expertise on drug therapy initiation and monitoring to all customer groups served by MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, working collaboratively with other health care professionals to devise the most appropriate drug treatment for patients. The role of the clinical pharmacist sometimes extends outside the hospital, sharing their specialized knowledge with other hospitals, clinics, and care settings.
Performs clinical review of patient in area of responsibility. Prospectively identifies and prioritizes potential and /or actual medication-related problems and/or alternative therapies.
Provides information to medical staff, nurses, or other health care personnel concerning all aspects of clinical pharmaceutical information pertaining to the patient’s care and well-being, keeping in mind the confidential nature of all such information and communication.
Recommends medication therapy changes to interdisciplinary patient care team members as necessary.
Monitors patient medication therapy for pharmaceutical care parameters and documents (as required) the appropriate findings, recommendations, interventions, and/or outcomes.
Provides accurate dispensing and timely distribution of medications for inpatients and outpatients.
Compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceutical supplies using standard procedures to fill medication orders generated by qualified prescribers.
Screens new medication orders for appropriateness, medication-related problems, and/or alternative therapies. This includes follow-up on incomplete orders, non-formulary orders, etc.
Designs and/or adjusts medication therapy by Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee direction or at the request of the provider.
Counsels patients on the effects, dosage, and route of administration of their drug treatments, particularly those who require complex drug therapy.
Completes all expected pharmacy functions, duties, and responsibilities prior to leaving assigned shift/period and work area. This includes using time at work in a productive manner.
Perform Antimicrobial Stewardship activities as requested by the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
Abides by USP standards for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
Keeps accurate and legible records and documentation forms.
Provides functional supervision to the pharmacy operation in area of responsibility.
Performs duties in a cost-effective manner, striving to avoid wasting resources. This includes using time at work in a productive manner, providing/implementing suggestions, and documenting activities that conserve resources (financial and human).
Participates in quality improvement activities; e.g., process improvement, DUE/DUR, development of protocols, etc.
Maintains professional education/development and assists in the education of other team members.
Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.
Provides competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.
Takes an active role in enhancing ability to carry out job functions through personal and professional/job-related growth and development, and participates in medical center and/or departmental education programs.

General Requirements:
Completion of the requirements for a Pharm.D. required.
Iowa Pharmacist licensure, either by examination or reciprocity, is required
Demonstrated competence in pharmacy for 2-3 years, focusing on the provision of pharmaceutical care is required.
Residency training and/or certification in area related to practice site is preferred.
Demonstrated competence in previous clinical practice is preferred.

Major Responsibilities:
Accountable for Performance of CT scans and post processing according to established clinical protocols, guidelines and department operating procedures
- Transports patients to and from departments when necessary. Assist in transfer of patients on and off the CT table. Continually monitors patient condition during CT procedure.
- Works with radiologist in the tailoring of protocols to meet patient exam requirements.
- Follows correct CT Department Technologist workflow ( select correct scan room, identifies and documents two forms of identification on each patient, acquire history, verify orders, scan patient, send images to PACs, scan all paperwork and data sheets (eg. history sheet, med-reconciliation sheets, consent forms), start and complete the case in RadNet, address Q A issues, charge for contrast media and supplies, Verify that all images, series and data sheets have been sent to PACs- make sure the number of images is correct, verify exams.
- Positions patients correctly, using proper immobilization techniques
- Performs optimal scans using correct technical factors, shielding and protocols, based on the patient diagnosis, history and other relevant clinical information.
- Use correct technical factors in accordance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) to use the lowest amount of radiation to get a diagnostic scan.
- Performs CT angiography, 3D, MIPS, VR, Vessel Analysis, and MPR's, post processing of computer data to enhance exams for radiologist interpretation, using reconstruction software appropriate to the pathology or region of interest.
- Operates support equipment for CT such as: Independent workstation, pressure injector, PACs and RadNet systems.
- Initiates IV for administration of contrast media for CT in accordance with department policy and utilizing standard precautions - Is IV certificed within 3 months of hire.
- Prepares patient for exams by explaining procedure and by encouraging questions and answering any questions the patient may have
Accountable for maintaining good relations when dealing with internal and external customers encountered in daily performance of job. (Internal customers - fellow staff members, physicians) External customers - ancillary departments, inpatients, outpatients, ER patients and family members

- Obtains contrast injection consent form from patient or family member prior to the injection of contrast material
- Accountable for documentation of and charging for supplies used during the performance of exams or procedures.
Accountable for documentation of all patient information on appropriate forms for department records related to preservation of patient records, patient statistics, billing information and supplies
- Assists in scheduling of exams
- Documents confidential patient history to ensure appropriateness of exam and contrast media
- Documents patient charge data, modifying and initiating charges as procedure modifications are made per the radiologist or ordering physician
- Documents any allergic reaction, iv extravasations and initiates incident report regarding staff or patient situations

Major Responsibilities:
- Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by a physician

- Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. - Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities. Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.
Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities. Our Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology program offers specialized services for patients from infancy through young adulthood, addressing reproductive health, developmental anomalies, and complex gynecologic conditions in a supportive, patient- and family-centered environment.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology team. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient/consultative gynecologic care to pediatric and adolescent patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication with young patients and their families, and sensitivity to the unique developmental, psychosocial, and ethical considerations involved in this specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive gynecologic histories, physical examinations, and age-appropriate assessments for pediatric and adolescent patients
- Diagnose and manage a range of conditions, including menstrual disorders, vulvovaginal concerns, congenital anomalies, precocious or delayed puberty, and other reproductive health needs
- Provide contraceptive counseling, STI screening/treatment, and preventive reproductive health education
- Perform or assist with in-office procedures as appropriate to scope of practice and credentialing
- Order, interpret, and follow up on relevant labs and imaging studies
- Collaborate with physicians on complex cases requiring surgical or multidisciplinary intervention
- Coordinate care with pediatricians/primary care, dermatology, endocrinology, psychology/psychiatry, and other specialists as needed
- Provide trauma-informed, confidential, and developmentally sensitive counseling for patients and families
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Participate in patient education, community outreach, and program development initiatives
- Stay current with evidence-based guidelines in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
- Scheduled shifts will primarily be during office hours Monday-Friday. You will also participate in manageable home call, answering pages and doing tele-consults as needed after-hours. While rare, in-person evaluation after-hours may occasionally be required on site at our Salt Lake City campus.

As a Security Officer at Banner Health in the west valley of Phoenix (Banner Estrella, Banner Boswell, Banner Del Webb and Banner Thunderbird Hospitals), you will respond to emergency situations, assist in ensuring patient and visitor safety and security, patrol service areas, including the grounds, and provide alarm monitoring and response.
Both the day shift and night shift operate in 3 12-hour increments and the forth day is a half day. There is an 18%-night shift differential when you work at least two hours within the night shift "window," which is from 7PM to 7AM. Current openings are listed below:

Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and must possess strong verbal communications skills. Must qualify and maintain proficiency with assigned non-lethal weapons. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform physical requirements of the position. Capabilities will be demonstrated through the successful completion of similarly related skills testing. This physical skills assessment will then be conducted on a bi-annual basis and employees must successfully meet the requirements to remain in role.
Employees must possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card within 60 days of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must have a fingerprint clearance card at time of hire and must sign a Criminal History Affidavit upon hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
