Position Title
Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Administrative Project Coordinator provides high level support to the assigned team/department by assisting with communication, organization, and project management activities. May contribute to the team by conducting research, preparing, and analyzing statistical reports, in addition to project-based work and program development. May plan, organize and schedule events as requested.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
- High level of expertise in MS Office Suite to assist with communication, organization, and project management activities.
- Communicate effectively with various departments to keep everyone up to date about any changes to projects.
- Supports the communication plan before a larger rollout of system-wide communications.
- Provides high-level support to the assigned department.
- Develops and maintains a collaborative team approach with support staff members and executives built on regular communication, shared decision-making and results oriented problem solving.
- Coordinates and manages the calendar for the assigned department.
- Manages and maintains highly sensitive information with complete discretion and confidentiality.
- Functions independently at a high level, makes valid judgments to ensure the integrity of operations and exhibits initiative in the completion of tasks.
- High level ability to plan, organize, analyze, and coordinate data/information and activities.
- Completes special projects as assigned by manager/director.
- May serve as a liaison to other departments, agencies, and outside vendors as appropriate.
- Serves as a key communicator to all level of staff on behalf of the Director and/or Manager, as required, and coordinates and disseminates communication to large audiences as needed, capability of navigating complex and sensitive communication circumstances.
- Assists with coordination of payroll, acting as a backup for Kronos managers.
- Oversees department meeting schedules (scheduling meeting/events rooms, materials preparation for meetings, ordering water/food, scheduling meetings.
- Reviews, classifies, and files correspondence and documents, utilizing confidential file system containing sensitive documentation.
- Develops and maintains shared folder files, documents and keep resource lists up to date.
- Coordinates the maintenance of office equipment, oversee work order request process, facilitate process to purchase and receive office supplies.
- As delegated by the Director, represents department management for communicating information to hospital executive team, vendors, physicians, staff, and community agencies.
- Maintains files for contracts, invoices, accounts receivable/payable processing.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university. OR
- 2 or more years of experience in an administrative professional role.

- 4 or more years of experience working with Volunteers.
- 4 or more years of experience with event planning.
Required Language Skills
- Fluent English - Ability to read, write and speak.
Knowledge Requirements
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office products.

This position is responsible for scheduling patient treatments or diagnostic procedures for assigned area. Activities include pre-registration; receiving physician orders, insurance verification, gathering pre-authorizations and pre-certifications. Maintains records and produces statistical reports as required. May distribute educational materials to patients and families if needed in assigned department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Receives physician orders and seeks clarification, if necessary. Verifies insurance, obtains pre-authorizations and per-certifications. Answers all telephone inquiries related to scheduling.
2. Schedules patients for treatments or diagnostic procedures using computerized scheduling systems. Resolves scheduling conflicts, as needed. Documents all information regarding patient re-schedules.
3. Enters patient information in computerized scheduling system and gathers information and modifies records, as needed to maintain current database. Prepares charts and manages files within regulatory requirements. Compiles and reports statistical data, if needed by the assigned department.
4. Distributes educational materials to patients and families, when necessary. Responds to diverse questions or refers to appropriate clinical staff.
5. Provides administrative support to the assigned unit when required.
6. Incumbents in this position interface with physicians and their office staff, patients and family members and clinical staff and co-workers. Schedulers must have an understanding of what is entailed in the procedures and treatments that they schedule, physician preferences, and special needs related to particular diagnosis or age of the patients being served. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, set priorities and maintain highly confidential information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
The position also requires skills and abilities typically attained with 2 years of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital central scheduling or physician office scheduling setting. Medical terminology is required. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills.
Must be proficient with commonly used office software and computers and possess the ability to use computerized scheduling systems. Must be able to maintain accurate statistical records, gather data, and produce reports.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

As a Security Officer for Page Hospital, you will respond to emergency situations as well as help to provide safety and security for patients and visitors. Banner Security works 3 12-hour shifts and a half day. This is a full-time Night shift position, Shift D: (Wed-Sat) ½ Wed 12 midnight - 6 am, then Thur - Sat 6pm-6am. Night shift offers an 18% differential, plus an extra $1/hour on your weekend shift!
Successful candidates will be physically fit and able to maintain sufficient physical fitness to successfully pass the functional capacity evaluation (FCE), which includes completing 44 steps and 20 “down ups” in under 2 minutes.

This position patrols the facilities and grounds; assists with the welfare and safety of personnel and patients; investigates critical incidents; assists employees, patients and visitors; interfaces with emergency response agencies; secures doors; monitors parking and traffic control. Performs assigned security duties promptly and accurately. Works varied assignments and shifts.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills and be customer service oriented in all contacts with patients, visitors and staff.
2. Responds to all emergency codes for assistance and control. Patrols and inspects facility frequently to assist in maintaining a safer and more secure environment. Assists employees with security related matters, mediate disputes, conduct interviews, conduct searches, enforces parking regulations and traffic control. Serves as a security subject matter expert.
3. Assists medical staff in restraining and handling troubled/combative patients. Ensures security policies are being followed. Patrols unoccupied areas and sets the alarms when appropriate. Locks and unlocks facility doors at prescribed times. Conducts money pick-ups from departments, logs pick-ups and successfully delivers the contents to the appropriate destination department. Releases bodies from the morgue, ensuring that all paperwork is complete. Checks alarms to ensure they are in proper working order. Escorts patients, visitors and employees when required for security purposes. Participates in security lead training designed for staff.
4. Maintains current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Performs “citizen arrest” and demonstrate critical thinking skills during extremely stressful situations as needed.
5. Utilizes assigned non-lethal weapon according to policy and training.
6. Investigates and completes written reports of complaints, critical security incidents and unusual activities involving patients, employees and visitors. Maintains an accurate log of all relevant security activities during each shift.
7. Testifies in criminal court, state hearings and review boards when required.
8. Assists in the maintenance and preservation of confidential health documents including scanning into electronic patient health information systems when necessary.
9. Reports directly to the Security leadership or OIC in their absence. This position interacts internally with staff, physicians, visitors, volunteers and patients. External customers are law enforcement agencies and emergency service agencies. The position is system wide and officers may be assigned to work at any facility as needed. This position will provide guidance and direction to staff, visitors and patients during a security emergency. This position will be required to proactively identify, deter and respond to security incidents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must maintain required security certifications. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
Must possess the ability to make accurate observations and exercise good independent judgment in a variety of situations (including emergencies). Must demonstrate the ability to write comprehensive security reports. Must successfully complete all required security departmental training, including department specific annual training and mandatory training as assigned. Must successfully complete Banner Health Basic Officer Academy. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and must possess strong verbal communications skills. Must qualify and maintain proficiency with assigned non-lethal weapons. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform physical requirements of the position. Capabilities will be demonstrated through the successful completion of similarly related skills testing. This physical skills assessment will then be conducted on a bi-annual basis and employees must successfully meet the requirements to remain in role.
Employees must possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card within 60 days of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must have a fingerprint clearance card at time of hire and must sign a Criminal History Affidavit upon hire.

Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. Registry/Per Diem positions require a minimum of 2 shifts a month commitment. The RN Quality Specialist will maintain the efficient operation of
the trauma PIPS process (performance improvement and patient safety). The Trauma Quality Specialist works in collaboration with the trauma team and program leadership and is
responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the trauma PI program to improve the
quality of trauma care encompassing all areas and disciplines of the hospital that participate in
the management of the injured patient throughout their entire stay. They
will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating performance improvement activities including
data collection, analysis, trending, and benchmarking of data outcomes at the local, regional,
state, and national levels.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with at least five
years of clinical experience in a high patient acuity area in any combination of
Surgical/ Ortho/ ED/Trauma/Surgical-Trauma ICU. If you possess critical thinking

POSITION SUMMARY
This position plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates facility and/or system-wide quality/performance improvements, patient safety programs, and/or coordinates compliance and regulatory programs for preparedness and accreditation requirements. The position works closely with system initiatives. All work processed by the incumbent is considered confidential and protected from discovery, pursuant to state statutes.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinates investigation, analysis, and responds to quality/patient safety issues, events, significant care issues or trends. Leads and/or facilitate root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, and process improvement, working with multidisciplinary teams.
2. Develops and analyzes data for administrative and clinical decision making, as well as regulatory requirements. Coordinates implementation of data collection processes: provide analysis, summary, research and benchmarking. Prepares and present reports for appropriate facility, system, and other external agencies. Provides oversight to projects including data abstracting and data entry as appropriate.
3. Serves as a resource and leads and/or facilities task forces to plan, implement and coordinate facility activities to maximize service quality, effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborates with key stakeholders to evaluate, plan and implement process improvements and patient safety programs across the facility and/or system.
4. Supports implementation of facility quality and patient safety goals, policies, procedures, and activities designed to meet the requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies such as JCAHO, CMS, DHS, and the peer review organizations.
5. Acts as consultant and educator in program development and special projects as determined by their supervisor.
6. Participates in implementation of evidence-based practices at the facility or system level.
7. May coordinate peer review activities for physicians and other healthcare providers and provide information for departmental improvement activities, credentialing, and reappointment.
8. In some roles, this position may supervise professional staff.
9. Responsibilities cross all levels of internal customers including the department, facility and system, and external customers including but not limited to the medical staff, the community, regulatory bodies and state agencies. For those positions directly supervising professional employees, the position has full authority for employment actions including selection, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nursing or other healthcare related field and either an RN license in state worked OR a clinical background with current license/certification or equivalent experience.
Requires a proficiency level typically attained with five years acute care clinical experience.
Requires ability to perform complex statistical analysis and highly developed problem solving skills. Requires the ability to manage programs and projects. Requires demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification is preferred. Experience with process improvement, regulatory/accreditation programs, data management, and analysis including graphic development and presentations is highly desirable

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Quality Leadership and Integration - Guides the integration of quality into the fabric of the organization to achieve objectives such as Annual Initiatives, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards of care. Assists in directing and supporting the quality infrastructure, protects the use of privileged or confidential information, oversees facilitation of processes for engagement and interprofessional teamwork, identifies and promotes continuous learning. Collaborates with administrators, physicians, clinical leaders and team members to identify improvement opportunities utilizing qualitative and quantitative data analysis, knowledge of health care operations and systems thinking. Understands the importance of strategic planning accompanied by relevant tactics to achieve the goals, even when midcourse changes occur. Establishes and guides the development and implementation of annual quality plans in partnership with administrative, service line and process owners. Strategizes with entity leadership to plan and coordinate local Quality Councils/QAPIs.
2. Performance and Process Improvement – Serves as a subject matter expert in performance and process improvement, project management and change management methods to support operational and clinical quality initiatives. Manages, coaches, and oversees facilitation of improvement activities related to or resulting from patient safety, harm reduction, clinical performance opportunities, peer review and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Serves as a resource and/or facilitates improvement teams to plan, implement, and coordinate entity activities to maximize clinical and operational outcomes. Oversees and leads improvement teams, guiding teams on system defined improvement methodologies and processes.
3. Population Health and Care Transitions – Supervises evaluation and improvement of healthcare processes and care transitions to advance the efficient, effective and safe care of defined populations. Supervises the implementation of Clinical Practices and standardized processes, that are evidence-based Population Health management strategies, encourages and contributes to a holistic approach to improvement. Collaborates to improve care processes, as well as, transitions back to the community. Assists in leading monitoring and reporting of facility Clinical Practice performance. Uses data to identify populations at risk and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop strategies to improve outcomes. Supports and participates in Clinical Consensus Groups at a system level to develop metrics for evidenced based practices for the enterprise.
4. Health Data Analytics - Leverages the organizations' analytic environment to guide data driven decision making and inform quality improvement initiatives while managing and guiding quality improvement initiatives and activities. Oversees the collaboration with appropriate process owner(s). Ensures the acquisition and integration of data from internal and external benchmarking sources. Uses statistical and visualization methods to analyze data for administrative and clinical decision making. Provides oversight of on-going assessment of performance, analyzes clinical outcome data, and identifies performance improvement opportunities or trends. This role requires the ability to conduct and educate detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis.
5. Patient Safety – Cultivates a safe healthcare environment by promoting safe practices, nurturing a Just Culture and improving processes that detect, mitigate or prevent harm. Serves as an advocate for safety culture, promotes the application of safety science principles/methods, identification and reporting of patient safety risks/events. Collaborates to analyze patient safety risks and events. Facilitates teams to improve processes that impact the safety of patients and team members. Leverages results from patient safety investigations to coach entity leaders on safety improvement activities.
6. Regulatory and Accreditation - Manages the evaluating, monitoring and improving compliance with internal and external requirements. Facilitates processes to prepare for, participate in, and follow up with Regulatory Agencies and certifications. Facilitates processes to support compliance with PI standards, ensures continuous survey readiness activities and oversees PI survey processes and findings. This position collaborates and leverages results from regulatory opportunities.
7. Quality Review and Accountability – Manages facilitation and promote compliance with voluntary, mandatory and contractual reporting requirement for data acquisition, analysis, reporting and process improvement. Manages current and emerging payment models as they relate to quality performance outcomes. Develops and communicates measurement requirements. Support practitioner and nursing peer review activities.
8. Professional Engagement - Engages in the healthcare quality profession with a commitment to practicing ethically, enhancing one's competencies and advancing the field by integrating ethical standards into practice, engaging in lifelong learning and participating in activities that advance the profession, such as participation in professional organizations and achievement of certification in healthcare quality.
9. May manage the department budget and productivity. May be responsible for QI at a single entity or multiple entities and will contribute to system level QI activities.

Requires at least two years management experience or demonstrated leadership abilities through participation successful large scale projects. Requires Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS) within 1 year of hire.For individuals in this role prior to June 1, 2025, CPHQ or CPPS must be obtained within 1 year.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In partnership with the assigned Chief Quality Officer and Chief Medical Officer, this position helps ensure Houston Methodist's resources are strategically aligned to support its mission, strengthen its leadership position in healthcare, and deliver exceptional value to the communities it serves. The ACQO also serves as the Chief Quality Officer designee, as appropriate.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCE
Collaborates with medical staff, including full-time and voluntary faculty, as well as administration, both collectively and individually, to ensure the effective and appropriate utilization of hospital services and resources. Plans and organizes areas of responsibility to achieve operational and strategic objectives while maintaining adherence to budgetary constraints. (EF)
GROWTH/INNOVATION
Leads Innovation and Education: Collaborates with System Executives, including Chairs and colleagues (as appropriate), to develop innovative educational programs that align with evolving requirements and paradigms for the assigned division. Participates in speaking engagements, presentations, and educational rounds, both in-person and virtual, to enhance departmental and system-wide initiatives. (EF) Drives Process Improvement and Strategic Growth: Proactively evaluates and refines processes, recommending and implementing action plans for change. Contributes to the development, implementation, and revision of procedures to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
