Clean/disinfects assigned area(s) by washing walls, doors, door frames, ceilings, patient televisions, windows, furniture, tile, fixtures, appliances, floors, and equipment with appropriate cleaning solutions using procedures and following schedules specific to each item. Assigned area(s) may include, but are not limited to, patient rooms, offices, meeting rooms, rest rooms, elevators stairwells and other areas of the hospital and/or off-site facilities.
1)Operates various equipment following department procedures.
2)Use chemicals and solution following department policy.
3)Keeps work areas in orderly, clean and safe condition.
Customer Satisfaction-Demonstrates a commitment to satisfying customer needs and exceeding customer expectations.
1)Utilized AIDET with both Internal Customer and External Customers, meeting system goal.
2)Demonstrates ability to identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively when dealing with fellow associates.

Use appropriate procedures following patient discharges.
1)Thoroughly washes and sanitizes beds when patients are discharged; makes beds with clean linen in accordance with department procedures.
2)Thoroughly cleans and sanitizes entire room and washroom when patients are discharged, utilizing established department procedures.
3)Use appropriate germicide in disinfecting rooms.
Select cleaning materials and supplies appropriate to the job and transports them to work area.
1)Clean all assigned areas utilizing the established department procedures.

3)Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissues, soap, etc.; pick up additional supplies from the environmental services storeroom when needed.
4)Routinely collects waste;sanitizes all garbage cans.
5)Observes and follows Standard (Universal)Precautions, Infection Control Policies, and departmental policies and procedures.
6)Clean or sanitize after emergency spills as requested.
7)Place full, tied bags of soiled linen in linen chutes.
8)Ensures a safe clean attractive environment for patient, visitors and associates at all times.
9)Washes hand thoroughly throughout the day; follows and adheres to Hospital handwash policy.
Prepares detergents, germicidal solutions and other cleaning/disinfecting solutions according to established formulas. Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mop floor areas and spot cleans carpets using appropriate solutions. Shampoos furniture, carpets and rugs using appropriate equipment and supplies and adhering to applicable schedules.
1)Identifies types of soiled and/or spotting and utilizes proper solutions as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
2)Handles chemicals and solutions following departmental policies.
3)Ensures that all chemicals and solutions are in properly labeled containers.
4)Adheres to safety regulations as outlined in departmental policy and procedure.
Move equipment and furniture for cleaning, rearrangement and/or relocation. Arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion, and in accordance with applicable floor plans, after cleaning assigned area(s).
1)Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs according to specifications of responsible department/individual as required.
2)Cleans equipment and notifies supervisor of equipment needing repair.
3)Appropriately reports safety hazards.
4)Returns unused supplies to closet where obtained, cleans carts and equipment and ensures all items are replaced in an orderly manner.
Collects and/or distributes soiled and/or clean linens, as required. Collects trash and/or waste from all areas of the hospital, as required.
1)Collects hazardous and medical waste according to procedures establish by the Infection Control Committee. Sanitizes all garbage/waste disposal containers.
2)Separates regular and recycle trash according to procedure.
Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence:
1)Attends all mandatory departmental and hospital meetings and in-services.
2)Completes annual CBT's required.
3)Follows written department goals and objectives, and review annually with managers.
4)Seeks education and learning experiences in areas of identified growth needs and review progress during annual evaluation.

Job responsibilities involve walking, standing, bending, climbing and lifting throughout the work day.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associate when available. Unique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Position is 75% remote with requirement to be onsite 1-2 times/quarter to coordinate and support large in-person events and meetings.

- Provides executive-level administrative support, including complex calendar management, travel, event coordination, and project management.
- Anticipates executive needs and proactively identifies solutions to administrative and operational challenges. Addresses administrative/operational inquiries, resolves problems, and prioritizes needs using in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Initiates travel arrangements and expense reporting on executive’s behalf.
- Organizes all aspects of meetings, events, and travel, including (but not limited to) agenda preparation, site selection, and document development.
- Acts as the primary point of contact between executive and internal/external stakeholders (customers, visitors). Serves as a liaison for organizational initiatives, representing the executive at various meetings and committees.
- Initiates communications with other leaders as they relate to operational, strategic, and substantive matters.
- Manages and oversees projects, tracks deliverables, and ensured follow-through on priorities.
- Develops complex documents and correspondence independently or with executive input.
- Prepares special reports, independently conducting needed research, and compiling, analyzing, and summarizing information. May present this material/information to others.
- Establishes and maintains filing systems and confidential records, handling highly confidential and sensitive information with absolute integrity and discretion.
- Operates and maintains office equipment; may order supplies as needed.
- Assists with departmental budget administration.

This position assists technologists and/or nurses in department by performing non-technical, patient and procedure-related duties in accordance with department/facility policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of tasks and functions associated with the department’s daily operations, including but not limited to, greeting patients, medical staff and the public, answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments, entering orders and providing general information to customers. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution. Refers complex inquiries to the appropriate department or staff. Provides ongoing clerical and administrative support.
2. Enters patient information into the computer, scans documents into PACS. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. May be responsible for QC/validations. Assists in facilitating requests for patient medical records.
3. Provides support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records. Digitizes, formats, and uploads film-based or digital images into PACS. Maintains accurate filling system as required based on established department protocols and procedures.
4. Fulfills requests for images and reports ensuring availability in system, hard copy (film), and/or CD as required and follows proper protocols for releasing confidential patient information.
5. Receives patient in applicable systems, confirms patient demographics and insurance information and performs insurance verification when required. May be required to calculate and collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay. Totals charges on patient’s super-bill at check-out. Enters pending discharges into the system. Coordinates patient appointments for procedures and treatments that may be required prior to timely discharge. Processes patient discharges. Coordinates transportation to care centers and residential homes as requested by patients or physicians.
6. Prints physician schedules, super-bills, labels and other applicable forms in preparation for next business day. Pulls and files patient charts and prepares new patient charts as needed. Prints and files transcription notes. Reconciles charge tickets to each day's schedule, identifies incomplete tickets, missing charge codes or missing diagnosis and notifies clinical staff. Forwards completed tickets and/or billing package to the business office or billing company.
7. Assists technologists and nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation by obtaining necessary supplies and assisting patients as necessary. Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately. Understand sterile procedure and assists with setting up sterile trays, where applicable. Adheres to radiation safety policies. POSITION SUMMARY
This position assists technologists and/or nurses in department by performing non-technical, patient and procedure-related duties in accordance with department/facility policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of tasks and functions associated with the department’s daily operations, including but not limited to, greeting patients, medical staff and the public, answering incoming telephone calls, scheduling appointments, entering orders and providing general information to customers. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution. Refers complex inquiries to the appropriate department or staff. Provides ongoing clerical and administrative support.
2. Enters patient information into the computer, scans documents into PACS. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. May be responsible for QC/validations. Assists in facilitating requests for patient medical records.
3. Provides support in the acquisition and distribution of digital patient records. Digitizes, formats, and uploads film-based or digital images into PACS. Maintains accurate filling system as required based on established department protocols and procedures.
4. Fulfills requests for images and reports ensuring availability in system, hard copy (film), and/or CD as required and follows proper protocols for releasing confidential patient information.
5. Receives patient in applicable systems, confirms patient demographics and insurance information and performs insurance verification when required. May be required to calculate and collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay. Totals charges on patient’s super-bill at check-out. Enters pending discharges into the system. Coordinates patient appointments for procedures and treatments that may be required prior to timely discharge. Processes patient discharges. Coordinates transportation to care centers and residential homes as requested by patients or physicians.
6. Prints physician schedules, super-bills, labels and other applicable forms in preparation for next business day. Pulls and files patient charts and prepares new patient charts as needed. Prints and files transcription notes. Reconciles charge tickets to each day's schedule, identifies incomplete tickets, missing charge codes or missing diagnosis and notifies clinical staff. Forwards completed tickets and/or billing package to the business office or billing company.
7. Assists technologists and nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation by obtaining necessary supplies and assisting patients as necessary. Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately. Understand sterile procedure and assists with setting up sterile trays, where applicable. Adheres to radiation safety policies. The Lead Specimen Collector/MLA position requires the ability to foster a team environment and should emphasize the need for all Houston Methodist staff to work together effectively and efficiently. This position is responsible for ensuring the sites are adequately staffed and troubleshoots patient care or technical issues as they arise. This position will train employees to perform all necessary functions to maintain the operation of the collection or processing sites and performs the role of Specimen Collector or MLA, as needed. The Lead Specimen Collector/MLA position involves reporting of data, appropriate escalation of issues, communication and focus on patient, visitors and employee's safety and satisfaction.

Role Overview:
This role involves a variety of tasks supporting patient check-ins and check-outs, verifying demographics and insurance, and ensuring all necessary forms are signed. You will also handle the scheduling for 11 providers within the clinic, manage the in-baskets, and perform faxing duties. Additionally, you will confirm new patient appointments, and assist with administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, shredding documents, and other duties assigned.
Clinic Focus:
Westroads is a rheumatology clinic with both infusion and outpatient clinic services. Patients primarily deal with joint pain, arthritis, and other related conditions. This role will involve supporting both the clinic side and the infusion side, with additional involvement in dermatology on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
