Position Summary:
Performs professional duties related to a variety of radiographic technical procedures and CT Scan procedures using ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis and therapy. Has the latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to complete the requested procedure within the scope of his/her license. Assists in mentoring student technologists in their clinical rotation of Trinity Health Grand Haven.
What you will do:
- Performs CT Scans of all types including head, body and extremity scans.
- Performs interventional CT Scans for biopsies or various drainage procedures.
- Positions the patient carefully and accurately to obtain the requested examination; adapts positioning due to variations such as trauma, patient age, patient body habitus, suspected or known pathology, etc. to produce diagnostic images according to developed protocols and accepted medical practice. Applies supportive and/or immobilization devices to obtain the requested examination as necessary.
- Selects the correct CT Scan factors (mA, kVp, slice width, helical vs. non-helical, etc.) to produce high quality images; adapts technical factors for unusual variations of the patient or other factors (pathology, etc.).
- Provides the appropriate radiation shielding and collimation to adhere to ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles. Provides for the radiation safety of all persons in the area where radiation is employed.
- Performs office/clerical duties in the absence of clerical support staff.
- Places orders and charges in the Hospital Information computer as necessary.
- Gives pertinent preparatory instructions for the test.
- Obtains the patient’s name, date of birth, phone number and MPI number if known.
- Obtains pertinent clinical history that supports the procedure being ordered and consults the ordering physician or nurse when the information is inadequate.
- Obtains any required Laboratory values prior to the procedure.
- Secures all necessary supplies to maintain a prudent inventory level for patient care.
What you will need:
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, RT(R), without restriction, must be CT registered within one (1) year.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PRN (as needed) Pharmacy Technician with strong customer service skills and who enjoys interacting with patients to join our team. Currently, our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and we are closed on major holidays. This position may require travel and coverage at other pharmacy locations as needed.
Advocate Pharmacy is an outpatient pharmacy located inside Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. We work with the inpatient hospital patients in addition to patients in the community presenting to our pharmacy.
The role supports pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines. Additionally, we support the Meds to Beds (Meds to Go) program, which provides bedside delivery of discharge prescriptions to hospitalized patients prior to leaving the facility. Our team coordinates remote payment collection and collaborates closely with Social Work/Care Management to help patients overcome financial barriers and ensure access to prescribed medications upon discharge.
Pay Range:
$21.85 - $32.80Major Responsibilities
- Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications
- Accurately selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients including hazardous drugs and controlled substances
- Assists with medication distribution tasks
- Screens phone calls and routes as needed using proper telephone and voicemail etiquette
- Assists in daily pharmacy procurement, inventory control, and outdate checking
- Complete documentation required for removing, stocking, and wasting controlled substances, where applicable
- Perform nonsterile compounding following proper USP standards, where applicable
- Perform sterile IV admixture, as defined at the entity level, using proper aseptic technique, where applicable
- Inspects all assigned medication storage areas for adherence to storage policies
- Completes and documents medication admission histories, as applicable at the facility level
- Seeks additional duties when required work is done and accepts other duties as assigned
- May participate in quality improvement initiatives to assure the excellence of departmental services
- May assist in training pharmacy technicians and extenders in orientation to the policies, procedures, and workflows involved in pharmacy operations as applicable at entity level
- Abides by all organization policies and procedures and complies with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
- Supports area leaders regarding goals and work assignments
- Obtaining and recording initial patient demographic and other required information, data entry of required information into the pharmacy system for record keeping, insurance verification and label generation purposes, and cashiering
- Develop competence in third-party billing functions
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- May obtain immunization certification and perform immunizations for patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, where applicable
- Responsible for operating an Advocate Health-owned motor vehicle to deliver medications and other essential medical supplies as required by the designated department

$20.80 - $31.20Major Responsibilities: Patient continuum of care is supported and safe patient care provided 1)Provides efficient patient transport to, within and from the unit. 2)Assist with positioning of patients and basic patient care during procedures, such such as manipulating the outer abdominal wall of a patient to facilitate the advancement of the endoscope through the intestines. 3)The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for patient safety during electrocautery procedures ensuring proper patient grounding and proper functioning of the electrocautery equipment. 4)Lab specimens are handled in a proper efficient manner. Assist in collection, labeling and transportation of specimens to and from the Lab. 5)Assist with procedures under the guidance of the registered nurse. 6)Sets up rooms and equipment in preparation for the patient and facilitate turn around time in the procedure room. 7)Communicates pertinent information to the RN/Charge Nurse/Manager/Physician. 8)Assist in pre and post-procedure care of the patient under the guidance of a registered nurse. Duties may include, but are limited to taking vital signs, transporting patients, assisting patients to dress and undress for procedures, removing IVs. 9)Initiate or collaborate with team for all safety initiatives such as timeout process, traceability of all equipment used and reporting of safety events. Endoscopes will be cleaned and decontaminated according to SGNA standards to provide a safe environment for patient care. Demonstrates independent function in ensuring that soiled instrumentation or equipment delivered to the department is decontaminated in a manner that prevents cross-contamination or damage. Competency is demonstrated through observation and annual competency. 1)Wears protective attire when performing decontamination. 2)Follows standards of asepsis. 3)Follows established procedures to ensure decontamination is complete following SGNA guidelines. 4)Sets up decontamination equipment for operation and ensures proper function and work flow throughout the shift. 5)Maintains a neat and clean work area at all times. 6)Reports improper equipment operation to person in charge in a timely manner. 7)Handles infectious waste according to hospital policy. - Efficiently and accurately gathers and inputs patient/guarantor demographic and financial information; explains insurance benefits and collects co-pays, deductibles and self-pay portions due.
- Performs financial analysis of each case and informs patient of financial responsibility
- Balances Cash drawer daily, prepares deposit slips and follow closing cash drawer process at the end of each shift.
