Essential Functions
- Provides courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging. Resolves patient needs skills to ensure a superior customer experience by identifying and resolving patient needs related to patient intake and care.
- Documents all phone calls accurately and completely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, referrals, and/or consultations.
- Registers patients over the phone or in person by confirming, entering, and/or updating all required demographic data on patient and guarantor on the registration system. Follows procedures when identifying patients.
- Obtains copies of insurance cards, forms of ID, and signatures on all required forms. May verify information on appropriate accounts to determine insurance coordination of benefits, may include pre-certification/prior authorization .
- Assists patients in completing necessary forms to meet regulatory and billing needs prior to receiving clinical care. Scans necessary paperwork and educates patient on financial assistance. Proactively requests payments from patients on current and past medical services. Receives and processes those payments following appropriate procedures for handling payments.
- Stays current on role/responsibilities, updates etc. which may include reviewing monthly email/newsletter, ambulatory epic dashboard, patient access, work ques, attend clinic/service line meetings, review emails each shift, etc. to ensure the highest standard of performance is achieved.
Minimum Qualifications
- Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
- Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
- Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, members, and caregivers.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of customer service experience involving interactions with customers in person and by phone.
- Billing and collections experience.
- Computer literacy in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant software.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Multilingual
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for caregivers to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
- Position may require standing for long periods of time, lifting supplies
- May assist patients into/out of the clinic.

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
Provide seamless patient care before procedures requiring anesthesia, ensuring thorough assessments, education, support, and care coordination. Schedule:
- Two 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday: 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. for standard PSO calls
- 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. when assigned as the Follow-Up Nurse
- No holiday requirement
Essential Functions:
- Assess: Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status (including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate). Seeks and evaluates information acquired from other members of interdisciplinary team: patient, family, physician, non-nursing disciplines, support staff, others.
- Plan: Uses assessment information and critical thinking skills to collaboratively develop individualized plan of care. Actively seeks patient, family, team, and physician involvement to develop plan of care including needed education. Collaboratively plans and prepares patients for further support needs once the current episode of care outcomes are met (i.e., teaching, referrals, and follow-up).
- Implement: Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration as appropriate. Provides or delegates care consistent with plan of care, guidelines of care and professional licensure provisions. Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and to coordinate and organize patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources.
- Evaluate: Evaluates patient response to interventions through review of achievement of goals, clinical outcomes, patient, and family satisfaction. Revises plan of care as indicated and reassesses changes as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Also interacts with physician’s offices in order to report, ask for or clarify information. Prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the response of the patient and family to changes in health status.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Knowledge as normally obtained through graduation from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program. Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
Current BLS certification is required upon hire. Medical Assistant Certification is required. If certification is not in hand at the time of hire, individuals will have 12 months from the date of hire to obtain certification. If not eligible for MA certification at the time of hire, must complete CEUs for ABR-OE, which meets CMS requirements for Meaningful Use. All direct patient care personnel are required to demonstrate competent performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS) techniques for adults, children and infants according to the standards of a nationally recognized, standardized, credentialed healthcare provider course every other year.
Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software. Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Requires the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with office medical procedures and treatments and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
Estimated Pay Range:
$21.01 - $31.51 / hour

SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs CT (to include cardiac CT where applicable) examination to provide cross-sectional images and complex data processing of images for determining medical treatment and diagnosis. Provides in-depth and complete case synthesis of patient files to promote expedited and timely interpretations by physicians
- Performs the duties associated with the operation of the nuclear pharmacy as defined in the Radiotherapy Policy and Procedure.
- Provides care for the physical needs of patients by executing various nuclear and CT imaging scan concepts to maximize performance. This includes: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors. Modifies technical factors to achieve desired imaging results and recognizes complications / limitations associated with certain procedures. Proactively identifies how to address these for optimum outcomes.
- Schedules nuclear & CT imaging procedures appropriately and performs other administrative tasks related to the development of new diagnostic procedures and/or imaging areas as assigned. Moves between modalities as needed for the most efficient and effective service and outcomes.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follows radiation safety standards and conducts all imaging procedures accordingly. Properly utilizes patient radiation protection and immobilization during diagnostic procedures.
- Maintains proper sterile techniques for procedures, regularly practices aseptic techniques, and ensures compliance with infection control procedures. Complies with job, departmental and hospital safety standards, practices and policies.
- Identifies opportunities for corrective action and process improvement providing recommendations and contributes to meeting departmental and hospital targets for quality and safety. Assists with implementation and education of departmental based safety initiatives and standards of practice. Reports “near misses” and inputs errors promptly into documentation system to improve processes and identify trends.
- Ensures all imaging equipment has had QC performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use. Reports any malfunctions to management and regularly practices preventive maintenance procedures; calls for service if needed.

Position Summary and Purpose
The Respiratory Therapist, Registered is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) that possesses working knowledge of respiratory care and has displayed age-specific competence for all age groups serviced by the facility. The RRT conducts themselves in a professional manner and is courteous to patients, physicians, visitors, members of the department and all other healthcare personnel. The RRT supports and contributes to departmental productivity and organizational objectives by functioning as an integrated member of the respiratory care team and performs services consistent with the scope of licensure. Essential Functions:
- Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy
- Plans and administers oxygen therapy (including implementation of oxygen therapy protocol where appropriate)
- Plans and administers aerosolized medication and specialty gas therapy
- Performs airway management
- Plans and administers incentive spirometry
- Cleans and reprocesses respiratory therapy equipment
- Plans and administers bronchial hygiene and performs chest physiotherapy (including implementation of bronchial hygiene protocol where appropriate)
- Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation and manual ventilation during resuscitation attempts and aides in rapid response calls when appropriate
- Provides patient, family, staff and physician education.
- Collects arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis
- Operates mechanical ventilators and manages ventilator settings and weaning per protocols and provider orders
- Assists in cardiopulmonary procedures

Job Description:
The Nursing Graduate works under the direct line-of-sight supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. The incumbent also orients to the RN assignment, excluding independent nursing care. This position may participate in medication administration under the direction and supervision of the licensed RN.
The Nursing Graduate job can be utilized for up to 12 weeks while employees are in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program and are working toward preparing, testing, and passing the State Boards examination (obtaining an RN license). After that 12-week period, or if the Nursing Graduate fails the State Board exam a second time, the employee can no longer remain in the Nurse Graduate job. These employees can apply for any open jobs they qualify for, including jobs requiring a certification the employee currently holds (i.e., CNA, etc.). Failure to either pass boards or to be hired into another job will result in termination.

Position Summary and Purpose
The LPN is responsible for providing patient care utilizing the nursing process. The nurse collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team and ancillary staff, to provide effective, safe quality care. Essential Functions:
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory and practice within the scope of practice defined for LPN’s by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
• Completes a comprehensive daily assessment on assigned patients as evidenced by daily shift report and documentation in the patient’s record
• Prioritizes care based on nursing assessment of patient needs as evidenced by patient’s progress toward achievement of established goals
• Reviews and revises patient care plans according to established policy and procedure

• Demonstrates knowledge related to the age appropriate medication doses for adolescents, adults and geriatrics; LPN’s assigned to the pediatric unit will demonstrate knowledge of medication doses for pediatric patients of all ages and will demonstrate knowledge of how to calculate dose and appropriate dosage forms available to treat pediatric patients
• Identifies drugs requiring dosage adjustments in geriatric patients; Calculates dosage reductions based on kidney function (CrCl) when appropriate

• Completes special projects as assigned according to established time frames
• Maintains patient care areas in a neat and clean manner according to shift assignment and established policy and procedure
• Labels patient supplies according to policy and procedure as evidenced by no omissions of supplies being dated and labeled with patient name and room number
