Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. What You’ll Do:
Evening shifts until 9PM
As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Advocate Sherman Immediate Care Center in Elgin, IL, offers in-person care for a variety of minor illnesses and injuries that need urgent attention but aren't an emergency. Our walk-in clinic is open extended hours, making it a convenient option to get care after hours or if you can't get in to see your primary care provider. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.

Essential Functions
- Monitor Cardiac Rhythms: Continuously observe patient cardiac rhythms and ensure accurate ECG readings are maintained.
- Interpret ECG Data: Accurately interpret and report changes in ECG rhythms to the registered nurse promptly.
- Telemetry Equipment Management: Prepare, maintain, and clean telemetry equipment, including replacing batteries and ECG leads prior to patient admission and post-discharge.
- Documentation: Accurately document ECG data, including rate, rhythm, and interval measurements, in patient records to communicate ECG history for multidisciplinary review.
- Patient Tracking: Assist in tracking patient locations during off-monitor procedures, including those requiring transport to other departments, and ensure ECG rhythm visualization upon patient return.
- Crash Cart Maintenance: Implement crash cart checks as required by the facility at the beginning of each shift to ensure availability and functionality.
- Continuity of Care: Provide comprehensive patient ECG history to incoming monitor technicians to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Training and Mentorship: Assist in training new associates by sharing knowledge and skills related to telemetry monitoring and procedures.
- Admission/Discharge Log: Maintain admission and discharge logbooks to provide a backup database and support patient care continuity as required by the facility.

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

Under the direction of the manager, the Patient Equipment Care Coordinator I - Facility Campus / Office is accountable for intaking, coordinating, and ensuring timely implementation of Home Medical Equipment and supply orders
Schedule: Full-time
Hours: 9:30am - 6:00pm
This position fills patient orders, coordinates deliveries, and responds to patient requests in a timely manner. As a valued member of the team, this position provides important patient education and will facilitate patient set ups or fittings in a one on one situation and provides instruction to clients and caregivers in the use, care, and safety of supplies and equipment provided.
The essential job duties may also include helping customers that come into our facilities as well as supportive office work. It includes exhibiting exceptional customer service on incoming and outgoing phone calls, helping customers in a retail setting, and in fulfilling orders directly with patients. Facilitates the set-up of medical equipment and supplies to the patient by assigning the appropriate delivery method to meet customer and company needs and verifies the client specific needs and selects appropriate equipment based on assessment while adhering to physician orders. Processes Point of Sale (POS) sales request by completing computer order entry, receiving payment, and coordinating delivery or patient pick-up. Communicates any problems regarding the patient's condition and use of supplies or equipment to the appropriate staff. Demonstrates keen problem identification skills and resolution abilities and addresses concerns in a timely manner and maintains an understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party billing requirements and all components of Homecare's equipment order processing system.

1.Monitors, tracks, analyzes and completes release of information requests, including SSA,document distribution, face sheets, requests for third party billing companies and various audits as assigned, based on appropriate authorization and policies and procedures.
2. Enters new requestors into the ROI database ensuring no duplicates are created. Work with the Central Verification Office to ensure provider information is up to date and matches their system. Auditing of the database to ensure accuracy.
3. Retrieves health information in response to requests for information ensuring accuracy by analyzing records for appropriate dates of service, verification of identity, and specific content requested. Responsible to retrieve and analyze health information from multiple sources/systems (Various 3rd party EHR systems, PACs Radiology, etc); electronic, paper, microfilm, microfiche, scanned images.
4. Ensures compliance with guidelines/requirements related to patient confidentiality and release of information according to established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements including the 21st Century Cures Act (Information Blocking), and the Health Information Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA), Joint Commission, CMS and OCR.
5. Directs service representative to patients, attorneys, law enforcement, auditors, and insurance company representatives as well as a variety of other professionals to resolve issues with payments, records, expediting requests and help with procuring authorizations as well as managing any complaints or concerns. Supports the cROI analysts II with printing records, and CDs.
6. Coordinates with physicians and staff when the requested information/results are not available in EPIC or when needing physician approval. Provides assistance to patients in completing authorization forms, guiding them on the process of ROI, patient portal (MyChart) and completing their requests with high patient satisfaction.
7. Performs quality checks on all work to ensure accuracy of the release, and confidentiality by confirming patient identifiers, information to be released, time frame, requestor information and follow regulatory requirements minimum necessary is released in order to avoid breeches and possible legal actions.
8. Participates in problem solving, be empowered to expedite decisions, analyze and recommend options and follow-up on outstanding issues related to their work.

The Nursing Graduate works under the direct line-of-sight supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. The incumbent also orients to the RN assignment, excluding independent nursing care. This position may participate in medication administration under the direction and supervision of the licensed RN.
The Nursing Graduate job can be utilized for up to 12 weeks while employees are in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program and are working toward preparing, testing, and passing the State Boards examination (obtaining an RN license). After that 12-week period, or if the Nursing Graduate fails the State Board exam a second time, the employee can no longer remain in the Nurse Graduate job. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology programs. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) based on modalities in which they will be conducting work and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable. As of August 1, 2019, all Multi-Modality Technologist's hired on or after August 1,2019 will be required to have an advance certification by an accrediting body in a specialty if applicable. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience. Must be actively working in each certified modality, in accordance with the needs of the facility. The Multi-Modality Technologist I will be required to rotate and cover department scheduling as needed and required in areas where obtained certifications apply. Multi-Modality Technologist I requires certification in two (2) or more of the following modalities: Radiologic (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Mammography, Breast Sonography, Angiography.
Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral, and BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. - Experience with all hand and power tools
- Must be familiar with a wide range of skilled crafts including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC-R and carpentry.

Job Duties
- Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting. Examples of works may include but not limited to: unclogging plumbing lines, replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tile, repair leaking faucets, and painting touch-up.
- Follows up on completed assignments ensuring equipment is working appropriately.
- Responds to and repairs specialty systems, such as, and not limited to, the nurse call system, fire alarm system, television system, medical gas system, and the ceiling system.
- Completes preventive maintenance inspections in accordance to scheduled checkpoints and maintains documentation appropriately.
- Assists with any maintenance on associated equipment within assigned area(s)
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Assists other Hospital and Clinic departments with daily maintenance and support services as needed Will assist with repairs and upkeep of facilities structures and building systems
- In the event of severe weather emergencies or disaster, personnel will be assigned a work area and remain onsite throughout the duration of the severe weather or disaster.

The Patient Access Registrar presents a pleasing, helpful, and courteous manner to patients, physicians, visitors, co-workers, and all other internal and external customers of the hospital. The registrar interviews patients in a professional manner and obtains all personal, medical, and financial information necessary for admissions and billing properly for services rendered. Obtains accurate insurance information and signatures when applicable and explains payment options available and refer to Patient Financial Counselor if necessary.

• Receives and interviews patients in a courteous, empathetic, and professional manner
• Obtains and enters complete and accurate patient demographic, guarantor, and insurance information
• Assures completion of forms for signatures, authorization and consents
• Reviews patient insurance information and assigns appropriate insurance payor plan codes including policy, group and authorization numbers to ensure proper billing
• Assigns appropriate patient types and beds according to the type of registration (ER, Inpatient Admits, Observations, Outpatient Surgery (ODSU), Lab, Radiology, T-accounts, etc.). Works with physicians and nurses to ensure accurate patient placement. Corrects all changes to accounts prior to billing (inpatient to observation, observation to inpatient, inpatient to ODSU, etc.)
• Ensures that the ordering, attending, referring and primary care physicians are documented in the hospital computer system (SMS) correctly when registering patients
• Maintains awareness of individual patient needs and wait times for registration. Monitors waiting and treatment areas for patients that have not been registered

• Complies with all department and hospital policies and procedures
• Maintains an efficient and effective patient flow
• Complies with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, and the requirements of accrediting bodies
