Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
As an integral team member of MercyOne PHSO’s Operations team, the Provider Network and Operations Coordinator assists PHSO leadership on tasks as assigned. Functions including oversight and management for the MercyOne Provider Network Directory, Compliance & auditing, and coordination of projects. Serves as a liaison between PHSO administration, Chapters, regulatory bodies, and MercyOne Partnered Provider organizations/providers as needed. This role is part of the MercyOne PHSO Operations team, reporting to the Provider Network Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
2. Provider Network Support
- Serves as the key resource to implement and maintain an accurate, NCQA-compliant Provider Network Directory.
- Develops and maintains intake/assessment forms to gather key information to support the Provider Network Directory.
- Coordinates with Medical Staff Offices, Physician Recruitment and Employment, and Clinic Managers to obtain all required information as part of recruitment processes.
- Assists in the management of PHSO Participant Agreements and Network Contracting.
- Assists in the investigation and response to member inquiries related to the Provider Network and Directory.
3. Compliance Support
- Manages and monitors electronic Policy and Procedure handbook.
- Completes documentation and user audits according to federal and state health statutes, as well as third party control provisions.
- Assists the ACO Compliance Official in evaluating and responding to inquiries from governing bodies/regulatory agencies (i.e.: CHAN, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services)
- Assists in the on-boarding of new ACO Participants and Providers.
- Responds to PHSO email and phone inquiries from patients, providers and regulatory bodies.
4. Project & Meeting Support
- Assists with agenda creation, presentation of materials, and minutes for key meetings, including Provider Network Council and Chapter Governance Meetings.
- Assists PHSO leadership with special projects, including the tracking of deliverables, compiling information and reports, etc.
- Acts as resource in various committees and meetings to coordinate changes in ACO processes.
- Maintains PHSO directories, websites, and Sharepoint sites with education content.
5. Other duties as needed and assigned by the manager.
6. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In lieu of educational requirements, previous work history and years of experience may be considered.
2. Minimum of one year of experience with a healthcare system, health plan or healthcare accrediting body. Prior experience in project coordination preferred.
3. Experience in ACOs and knowledge of value-based care is preferred.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
5. Strong demonstrated verbal communication and critical thinking skills required.
6. Excellent verbal and writing skills required.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
8. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables required.
9. Excellent project management skills strongly preferred.
10. Demonstrated presentation skills preferred.
11. Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
12. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health and MercyOne.

What you will do:
The Medical Assistant is responsible to perform the duties of the position in support of the nurses and physicians in providing quality medical care.
Responsibilities:
- Escorts patient to exam room, takes appropriate vital signs and documents all necessary health information into the electronic medical record.
- Responds to patients concerns appropriately.
- Completes referrals and obtains pre-authorizations for diagnostic testing.
- Follows proper protocol for collection and delivery of specimens.
- Participates in all required meetings and practice huddles.

- Notifies physician regarding patients in need of physician intervention.
- Ensures that patient exam rooms are stocked and cleaned at all times.
- Follows office protocol to ensure adequate supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Performs office testing with appropriate training and within scope of practice.
- Handles medical waste appropriately.
- Provides educational materials to patients.
- Provides patients with electronic copy of medical record.
- If applicable perform front-end functions to insure achievement of established revenue cycle metrics, consistent with excellence standards and practice workflows:

- Charge entry/claims
- End of day processes
- General duties including but not limited to:
- Document processing

- Complies with Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) care delivery model.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to patients across the age continuum. Assists the physical therapist within established guidelines to develop a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals, based on a functional evaluation or reassessment. Provides education to patients, family members, students, staff and to the community at large. EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Graduate of Physical Therapy Assistant Program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently certified or eligible for certification by the State of New York.
Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Demonstrates age specific competency annually on age populations served as identified in scope of care and services.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology programs. Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) based on modalities in which they will be conducting work and licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable. As of August 1, 2019, all Multi-Modality Technologist's hired on or after August 1,2019 will be required to have an advance certification by an accrediting body in a specialty if applicable. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience. Must be actively working in each certified modality, in accordance with the needs of the facility. The Multi-Modality Technologist I will be required to rotate and cover department scheduling as needed and required in areas where obtained certifications apply. Multi-Modality Technologist I requires certification in two (2) or more of the following modalities: Radiologic (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Bone Densitometry (DEXA), Mammography, Breast Sonography, Angiography.

- Efficiently and accurately gathers and inputs patient/guarantor demographic and financial information; explains insurance benefits and collects co-pays, deductibles and self-pay portions due.
- Performs financial analysis of each case and informs patient of financial responsibility
- Balances Cash drawer daily, prepares deposit slips and follow closing cash drawer process at the end of each shift.
