Education
- Required - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Preferred - Completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
Work Experience
- Required - Experience working with and maintaining confidential information including experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Certifications
- Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Clinical knowledge.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Job Duties
- Supports the patient and provider throughout the patient visit
- Ensures the patient and provider are prepared for the visit
- Ensures the patient’s questions are answered prior to leaving; prepares room for next appointment
- Provides excellent patient service through effective communication both over the phone and in person
- Completes appropriate documentation including patient registration if necessary
- Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials through personal professional development
- Handles other duties as assigned effectively and efficiently
- Meets the procedures of the Department of Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs, if working in an occupational health clinic
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style
- Performs other duties as assigned

At Houston Methodist, the Registered Nurse (RN) PRN Oncology position is a licensed staff nurse, an experienced clinician, functions at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice. The RN PRN Oncology position provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. The RN PRN Oncology position provides direct patient care effectively and efficiently which may include patients with varied and complex needs. This position communicates and collaborates with the physicians and interprofessional health care team to facilitate, coordinate and maintain compassionate, efficient, quality care and achievement of desired treatment outcomes. The RN PRN Oncology position demonstrates clinical competence when providing care, using technology, administering medications, performing procedures and managing emergencies, acting as a patient and family advocate in order to monitor and maintain patient rights. This position assumes leadership roles with progressive responsibility including but not limited to participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and possibly contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives in partnership with management.

EDUCATION

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure – Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency) and
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association and
- Chemotherapy certification: FCIA or ONS-CICC, or ONS-CICR, or ONS-FCBA (current incumbents have 6 months) within 4 months

At Houston Methodist, the Registered Nurse (RN) II position is a licensed staff nurse, an experienced clinician, functions at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's model of clinical practice. The RN II position provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. The RN II position provides direct patient care effectively and efficiently which may include patients with varied and complex needs. This position communicates and collaborates with the physicians and interprofessional health care team to facilitate, coordinate and maintain compassionate, efficient, quality care and achievement of desired treatment outcomes. The RN II position demonstrates clinical competence when providing care, using technology, administering medications, performing procedures and managing emergencies, acting as a patient and family advocate in order to monitor and maintain patient rights. This position assumes leadership roles with progressive responsibility including but not limited to participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and possibly contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives in partnership with management.

The Mental Health Tech (MHT) participates in the delivery of patient care to the psychiatric patient in crisis, under the supervision of an RN. This role is responsible for providing operational oversight, clinical leadership, and program coordination across multiple levels of behavioral health care. - This is a fully remote position. –(Note: if you have technical or internet issues and cannot work, you must either come into the office to work or take PTO. - Shift Details:The Contact Center is open Monday - Friday 7:00am – 7:00pm and Saturday/Sunday/Holidays, 7:00am – 5:00pm. Your actual work shift will be determined near the end of your training period so you must be flexible to work any days/hours in which we are open.
- Additional Details: All equipment such as a laptop, monitors, docking station, headset, keyboard, and mouse will be provided by Intermountain Healthcare.
- NOTE: The employee must furnish a DSL, fiber optic or cable home Internet connection. No wireless or satellite connections will be allowed to work from home due to technical issues that may arise by using these.Hardwire connection is required (ethernet cable will need to be plugged directly into your modem).

This hospital-based position provides leadership and strategic medical direction for obstetric care occurring at St. George Regional Hospital. The Medical Director is responsible for advancing safe, highly reliable, consistently delivered, evidence-based, patient-centered obstetric care across the hospital. Scope
The Medical Director - Obstetrics, St. George Regional Hospital is a hospital administrative leadership role with regional and enterprise participation expectations as appropriate. The position reports through the hospital Chief Medical Officer and collaborates closely with the, hospital administration, nursing leadership, operations leadership, the Obstetrics Department Chair or equivalent medical staff leader, the Senior Medical Director for Women’s Health, and applicable clinical program and specialty leaders.
The role encompasses obstetric care provided within St. George Regional Hospital, including Labor and Delivery, obstetric triage, antepartum services, postpartum obstetric care, inpatient and hospital-based maternal fetal medicine services, operative obstetrics, obstetric emergency response, and OB hospitalist/laborist services. The role does not include accountability for outpatient clinics or clinic operations and does not include employment decisions or direct supervisory accountability for physicians or advanced practice providers. Employment-related matters remain with each clinician’s employer. The Medical Director may participate in hospital medical staff, credentialing, privileging, peer review, quality, safety, and professional practice processes within the authority of those established structures.

- Oversee and advance quality, safety, stewardship, and patient experience for hospital obstetric care provided by physicians and APPs with privileges at St. George Regional Hospital.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of quality dashboards, departmental key performance indicators, key process indicators, and patient outcome measures for hospital obstetric services.
- Monitor and drive key performance outcomes; review results with appropriate hospital, department, nursing, operations, quality, and medical staff leaders; and identify opportunities to improve care.
- Lead or support process improvement efforts and clinical program development directed toward achievement of hospital obstetric quality, safety, utilization, stewardship, patient experience, and strategic goals.
- Participate in peer review, HEAT reviews, root cause analyses, rapid event investigations, case reviews, and other established quality and patient safety processes involving obstetric care; communicate lessons learned and support resulting clinical or protocol improvements.
- Address clinical quality, safety, professionalism, or performance concerns through appropriate hospital medical staff (Department Chair and MEC) and quality structures. The Medical Director will not make employment decisions and will coordinate employment-related follow-up with the clinician’s employer when appropriate.
- Support OB/Gyn Department Chair as requested in development and periodic review of credentialing and privileging criteria for hospital obstetric services, including maternal fetal medicine and OB hospitalist/laborist practice, through authorized medical staff processes.

Education
Required – High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred – Associate’s degree
Work Experience
Required – Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital, clinic, medical office, business services/revenue cycle, or other customer service-related environment. Experience may include front line registration, financial counseling, banking, retail, or similar roles involving direct customer or patient interaction.
Certifications
Preferred - Certification in Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM), Certification in Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA), Certification as a Medical Assistant (or other medical specialty-based certification)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must have clerical skills and exhibit technical knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits, various payor guidelines on referral and authorization processes as well as have current knowledge of Federal, State and Local billing regulations.
- Skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients and customers, with proficiency.
- Skills to solve practical problems and deal with high stress situations while maintaining a high quality of professionalism.
- Good organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent decision making skills; good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail are necessary.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in handling/escalating difficult situations.
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients, guests, and family members.
- Create, activate, and complete the patient scheduling, clinic registration, or hospital admission process.
- Ensures all required forms are completed and other paperwork/documents are gathered and accurate.
- Efficiently and accurately gathers and inputs patient/guarantor demographic and financial information; explains insurance benefits and collects co-pays, deductibles and self-pay portions due.
- Performs financial analysis of each case and informs patient of financial responsibility
- Balances Cash drawer daily, prepares deposit slips and follow closing cash drawer process at the end of each shift.
- Demonstrates respect and cooperation in all staff relationships, and a genuine willingness to prevent or resolve inter-personal conflicts.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Other related duties as required.

The incumbent works with patients who have known or suspected communicable diseases and may enter isolation rooms. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
