This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department’s strategic goals and objectives and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
Required - Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Certifications
Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice .
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.

Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This job supervises the Patient Access functions. Monitors and manages patient flow to minimize patient wait times. Education
Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience
Required - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, medical office, business services/revenue cycle, or other customer service-related environment. Experience may include front line registration, financial counseling, banking, retail, or similar roles involving direct customer or patient interaction;
OR
2 years of customer service experience with a bachelor’s degree.

Job Duties
- Manages staff performance and productivity while ensuring adherence to departmental customer service initiatives by performing audits on staff performance.
- Works with leadership to establish monthly departmental goals based on key metrics and develops team initiatives and goals.
- Manages patient flow and adjusts staffing according to volume to minimize patient wait times.
- Facilitates conflict mitigation within and across departments; identifies, communicates, and removes barriers to departmental performance.
- Manages staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Interviews and recommends candidates for hire and coordinates training to develop staff.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and signals.
- Selects and applies special monitoring electrodes, bands, thermistors, and other monitoring probes to appropriate areas of the patient's body. Prepares positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittings.
- Follows sleep procedures to establish and document baseline values such as body position, movements, oxyhemoglobin saturation, respiratory and heart rates.
- Assists with scoring sleep/wake stages and with the generation of accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc.
- Implements appropriate interventions including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous (CPAP) and bi-level (BIPAP) positive airway pressure and oxygen administration.
- Assist with procedures and therapeutic interventions such as auto servo ventilation (SV) titrations, average volume assured pressure support (AVAPS), multiple sleep latency testing (MSLT), maintenance of wakefulness testing (MWT).
- Performs polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring study-tracing quality to recognize and eliminate all artifacts observed during the test.
- Follows wake procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process e.g. repeat the physiological and instrument calibrations and instructs the patient on completing questionnaires.
- Sets up video and audio monitoring apparatus. Keeps the equipment in clean operating condition, detecting instrument malfunctions, making minor adjustments, and reporting the need for major repairs. Monitors equipment supply levels and maintains appropriate equipment at hand.
- Schedules and discusses the test process with patients, ensures their knowledge of the process, and answers their questions. Educates physicians and patients on sleep medicines.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Performs radiotherapy on site at assigned department.
- Responsible for daily patient care and education. Appropriately involves the patient and their family in care and care decisions. Maintains and demonstrates respect for patient confidentiality and modesty. Explains all treatment and imaging procedures. Arranges daily radiation treatment schedule. Attentive to patient needs and concerns by continuous monitoring of the patient’s physical and physiological response and reactions to treatment and refer patient for appropriate management as needed.
- Administers radiation therapy treatment accurately and safely, following departmental policy and procedure.
- Positions and immobilizes patients according to the treatment plan and effectively evaluates images according to standard guidelines. Mobilizes patients using appropriate mechanical assistive devices, such as ceiling lifts and lateral transfer devices, during the provision of patient care.
- Assesses patient relative data as deemed pertinent to age-specific needs and provides care as described in the department’s policy and procedure manual.
- Participates in the clinical instruction and evaluation of the Radiation Therapy students. Accurately perform and teach all policy, procedure, and QA measures including New Start and Cone Down chart checks, weekly chart checks, scheduling, treatment procedures, image review guidelines, and billing procedures.
Simulation Procedures:
- Explains simulation procedure, including the administration of permanent tattoos for set up purposes.
- Operates equipment and software, including but not limited to CT scanner and software, Treatment planning software (Eclipse), LAP Lasers, IV contrast Power injectors.
- Create immobilization devices, bolus, and accurately documents set up instructions.
- Assists and interacts with all departmental Radiation Therapists, demonstrating the ability to answer all questions and details pertaining to simulation to ensure quality treatment.
- Participates in the IV contrast program, including Patient Screening, and Peripheral IV placement.
- Administers Oral Contrast.
- Assists in scheduling/rescheduling appointments, as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Assists the Lead Radiation Therapist in the efficient operation of the assigned clinical area. Performs daily QA measures to ensure proficient operation of all imaging and treatment equipment. Performs daily shutdown procedures. Assists in organizing team during equipment failures and notifies patients as well as all functional areas of the department. Assists in resolving clinical problems and difficult set-ups.
- Assumes Lead responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Radiation Therapist, when requested. Assists the Chief and Lead Radiation Therapist to ensure coverage for meeting attendance and administrative duties.
- Strives for continuous improvements and technique standardization.
- Assists with the triage of emergent cases and demonstrates the ability to negotiate the scheduling of emergent cases with other care team members.
- Accurately performs all new start QA measures, weekly chart checks, patient scheduling, treatment delivery, image review, and billing procedures involving the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Utilizes the Quality Assurance (QA) program to encompass all aspects of treatment, treatment delivery and quality patient care.
- Accurately documents treatment variances and inconsistencies using the appropriate tools.
- Practices the QA program of each treatment unit and assists with the instruction of new staff members and students as part of orientation.
- Responsible for the safe and accurate utilization of all aspects of the electronic medical record (EMR) and Record and Verify system. Accurately documents all treatment delivery information in the EMR.
- Participates in and appropriately documents the Time Out procedure for every treatment.
- Assists with orientation, teaching, and instructing new staff, students, visitors, and other staff members who are unfamiliar with the department or specific procedures.

MRI technologists performs magnetic resonance imaging and acquire and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
Magnetic resonance technologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Magnetic resonance technologists prepare, administer and document activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.
Job Duties:
- Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
- Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
- Preparing and/or administering, as applicable, medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, post processing of data if applicable.
- Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
- Applying principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self, and others.

SUMMARY: Transports child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to and from all areas/departments requiring patient transport, using wheelchairs and stretchers.
