Job Description:
Full-time positions (40 hrs/wk) EVENING / NIGHT (5:00PM - 1:30AM)
This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.
Posting Specifics:
- Pay Rate:Based on Experience. Will be eligible for up to 10% shift differential due to working the Evening / Night shift.
- Shift Details: Full-time (40 hrs/wk) positions on the Evening / Nights. (5:00pm - 1:30am)
Positions Available:
* Custodian / EVS Tech at the Eccles Outpatient Building. Assignment is half trash and half cleaning stairwells and elevators. Monday - Friday with rotating Holidays.
* Custodian / EVS Tech at the main Primary Children's Hospital building, rotating weekends and holidays. Will include Rotating Weekends and Holidays.
Floorcare experience preferred to be able to help with projects or fill in on maintenance when the regular Floor Care caregiver is off.
- Located in theEnvironmental Services at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT
- Additional Details: Needs to be able to adapt to different situations. Deal with different personalities and situations. Incumbent needs to be comfortable working around chaos and being watched but also able to keep themselves motivated when not being directly supervised. This is a very physical job and incumbent will be expected to stand/walk for 8 hours constantly. Will also need to be able to bend and get down and up easily. Needs to have good hand dexterity and be able to bend and lift loads. Needs to have good vision and attention to detail. Qualifications
- Demonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department.
- Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience. (Preferred)
Essential Functions
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
- Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
- Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
- Handles and cleans up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint commission, and OSHA standards.
- Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e. proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Job Description:
The Nursing Graduate works under the direct line-of-sight supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. The incumbent also orients to the RN assignment, excluding independent nursing care. This position may participate in medication administration under the direction and supervision of the licensed RN.
The Nursing Graduate job can be utilized for up to 12 weeks while employees are in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program and are working toward preparing, testing, and passing the State Boards examination (obtaining an RN license). After that 12-week period, or if the Nursing Graduate fails the State Board exam a second time, the employee can no longer remain in the Nurse Graduate job. These employees can apply for any open jobs they qualify for, including jobs requiring a certification the employee currently holds (i.e., CNA, etc.). Failure to either pass boards or to be hired into another job will result in termination.
Registered Nurse graduates must be enrolled and have started coursework in the Intermountain Nurse Residency program before providing direct patient care (including direct patient care supervised by a licensed RN).

Job Description:
This position is a HSPA certified technician, responsible for ensuring that all basic surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a quality / timely manner throughout the hospital for basic procedures and 2+ surgical specialties (i.e. GYN, Urology, ENT). Will train and document the competencies to perform these duties independently and without close supervision. Will validate all the Sterile Processing proficiencies in our education system. Utilizes applications and technology to accurately facilitate record keeping in accordance with State and Federal regulations, promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards, performs other duties as assigned. May be required to work overtime based on business need, may be required to float to other departments (within the scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need, may be required to be placed on-call based on business needs.

- Perform, read, validate and record all biological and chemical sterilization tests and parameters before making equipment available for use.
- Perform and document daily and weekly testing of decontamination and sterilization equipment. Clean, troubleshoot and correctly use CP equipment.
- Work with medical equipment/instrumentation vendors to check-in, prepare, sterilize and check-out requested equipment/instrumentation
