Job Description:
The position has the responsibility of staffing the multiple different nursing units in the geography with established guidelines and policies to ensure appropriate staffing resource allocation. This position works closely with the charge nurse of each unit served, as well as the House Supervisor to maintain and ensure resources are allocated appropriately. Thus, the incumbent will utilize excellent problem solving and customer service skills to ensure effective staff scheduling and accurate timekeeping on for the shift. The Staffing Placement Specialist must have a broad working knowledge of department, facility, and geography staffing practices and procedures. This position also serves as an expert user in the scheduling software, ensuring accurate schedule maintenance is done within established timeframes.
Job Essentials
- Scheduling Support
- Provides daily maintenance and upkeep of the schedule for each nursing unit served.
- At request of nursing unit managers, enters schedule changes that will occur within 72 hours.
- Ensures shift resolution in scheduling software.
- Staffing Support
- Actively participates in staffing coordination meetings.
- Coordinates placement of appropriate personnel to fill various shift vacancies.
- Communicates with the Charge Nurse of each unit regarding coverage (or lack of coverage) levels of staffing.
- Distributes staff as appropriate to meet the needs of the facility/facilities.
- Works in collaboration with House Supervisors to assure appropriate placement of available resources
- Point of contact for unscheduled vacancies (sick calls, etc).

- Assists in new staff orientation.

- Demonstrates excellent phone etiquette at all times
- Provides concise status report regarding caregiver placements
- Communicates regularly with House Supervisors to resolve staffing issues and coordinate staffing needs and placement.

Minimum Qualifications
- Six months healthcare or customer service work experience.

Job Description:
This incumbent is enrolled as a student in a college of pharmacy for the first year of education. The incumbent is in a training and learning position as a part of a paid internship and demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills in assisting the pharmacist in the execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The incumbent participates in many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and is an integral part of the pharmacy team. This position supports Pharmacy Services in all care locations (i.e., acute, community, ambulatory and specialty).
This position will work Sundays and help our with shifts during the week (M-F). Flexible on the days/times.
Essential Functions
- Provides excellent service to support patients, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals in areas of responsibility.
- Communicates effectively with all caregivers and stakeholders regarding responsibilities and identified concerns.
- Consistently attains appropriate supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) on staff when working, understanding that the pharmacist is the supervisor of their activities
- Provides patient education/counseling under the direct supervision of the pharmacist on staff as training and mentoring permits. Is training to become competent and effective in technical responsibilities assigned, and seeks appropriate training and peer feedback on routine responsibilities.

Scope
Reporting to the Area Facilities Director, this position oversees a business operation representing more than approximately $2 million in annualized consumable spend, and optimizing maintenance strategies for more than approximately 600,000 square feet of building space.
Job Essentials
1 Works directly with the Area Facilities Director in developing, planning, organizing, implementing, and managing compliant and efficient facilities operations.
2 Provides management oversight in terms of hospital maintenance goals of quality, value, satisfaction, compliance, and standardization to increase the value of Intermountain's capital facilities investment by managing facilities as part of a system-wide business, which includes quality of care, decreased operational and upfront costs, design optimization, and profitability to the company.
3 Implements operational strategies, system and site policies and procedures, and product and equipment standardization to realize compliance and operational efficiencies.
4 Serves as the facilities coordination point and subject matter expert for all facilities management activities within the assigned facilities.
5 Directly responsible to coordinate with Construction, Capital Planning, Energy Management, and Sustainability to ensure safe, efficient, and effective projects in the facilities.
6 Serves as the direct manager of Intermountain maintenance and facilities management functions and staff in the assigned facilities, and is responsible to ensure proper maintenance, repair, operation, and efficiency of all plant assets.
7 Responsible for the effective and compliant management of a significant portion of business within Intermountain Healthcare's operations with daily management of a Building Operations and Maintenance operating budget, as well as a portion of the Maintenance Renewal capital project budget.
8 Consults with corporate and area facilities leadership on questions related to growth of facilities and expansion of service lines affecting facilities.

This position performs all cleaning of patient rooms and/or assigned areas. Works as a member of the environmental service team to ensure the safety, health, and high morale of patients, visitors and staff by helping to provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment with minimal interference to others.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures. Must plan the completion of these tasks daily.
2. Empties hampers and transports of soiled linen. Empties trash containers and removes all trash. Empties all medical waste containers, including sharps.
3. Inventories, restocks and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etcetera, located in all assigned areas of the facility.
4. Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and notifies appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary. Protects equipment from damage by proper use; properly logs out and in equipment that has been used.
5. May perform special projects such as: windows washing, wall washing, removing heavily soiled items or furnishings.
6. Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors. Meets or exceeds goals for customer service satisfaction.
7. Under regular supervision, this position has responsibility at an assigned facility/area only. Internal customers include facility staff, physicians, nurses, patients, visitors, supervisors, managers, and executives. External customers include visitors, patients, and employees from other company and non-company facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision. Must be able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally. Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals, and able to fill out chemical identification stickers.

The Educational Development and Community Education Department provides clinical and non-clinical education, professional development, leadership development, and community education across the organization
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) functions to ensure that clinicians are prepared to be responsible for promoting patient safety and high-quality patient care through clinical leadership, education, consultation, modeling, and research. The CNE incorporates evidence-based practice, theory, and research into various patient care settings according to patient needs by collaborating with multi-professional multidisciplinary groups, facilitating the development of hospital and department policies, nursing procedures, and regulatory standards and guidelines. The role also includes functioning as a community resource on topics within scope of practice and providing nursing orientation, education, and ongoing competency verification. The CNE is a role model for caring that honors the patient’s mind, body, and spirit.
Job Description:
Collaborates with department directors, nursing staff, and others to identify unit-specific educational needs.
Collaborates with other educators to prevent redundancies of educational efforts.
Collaborates with human resources department, nurse educators, professional development specialists, clinical nurse specialists, and department directors to facilitate the unit/hospital orientation program for area of responsibility.
Provides ongoing support and coaching to preceptors and/or new employees.
Assesses educational needs through a variety of methods, both formal and informal, for orientation, in-service education and continuing education to preceptors, new employees, and experienced staff.
Demonstrates ability to teach programs using adult learning principles, professional presentation skills, and quality audiovisual aids and handout materials.
Evaluates achievement of learning objectives
Facilitates attainment of necessary or desired educational credit from accreditation bodies for a given professional category and submits required documentation after the program
Participates in patient care delivery
Participates indirectly in the delivery of patient care in area of specialization.
Acts as a resource for staff in locating answers to questions, best evidence, current policies, procedures, and protocols.
Provides clinical consultation.
Participates in research/evidence-based practice
Incorporates research findings and best practice findings into the development of clinical practice guidelines/standards/policies.
Requirements:
Current RN license or work permit in Kentucky.
Three (3) years of acute care experience in the designated specialty within the last five (5) years
BSN from accredited nursing program
Certification as Professional Development Specialist (PDS) preferred
Basic Life Support certification.
ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC certifications as required by department of assignment.

Major Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care according to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Assists with assessment by collecting and documenting data, actions and responses including biological, psychological, social and cultural factors. Detects significant changes in patient condition and reports these to the registered nurse.
- Assists with developing the plan of care and implements as directed by the registered nurse.
- Supports and reinforces patient teaching according to individualized plan of care.
- Documents performance of nursing interventions and patient's response to those interventions and communicates effectiveness of interventions and changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.

Rehabilitation Aide working at Aurora Sports Health - Dewey Street Clinic. This role will be responsible for assisting both physical and occupational outpatient therapists. Anticipated hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with flexibility; clinic hours are 7:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 5:30pm Friday.
Pay Range:
$20.80 - $31.20Major Responsibilities: Administration of Therapist/Assistant initiated patient exercise programs 1)Follows through with therapist-established exercise program per handout. 2)Demonstrates knowledge in accessing home exercise programs and brochures from SharePoint, as appropriate. 3)Assists with therapy sessions as instructed by PT/PTA/OT/COTA. 4)Follows through with therapists’ guidelines on ROM exercises. 5)Communicates with nursing and other staff regarding therapy-related information, as instructed by the therapists. Prepares and assists therapists with wound management, and perform appropriate set-ups of Woundcare equipment. 1)Perform thorough and safe set-up of Woundcare equipments, both woundvac and pulsatile lavage. 2)Assist therapist with the process as instructed in applying woundvacs or treatment with pulsatile lavage. 3)Communicate with nursing regarding any woundcare related information, as instructed by the therapists. Manages treatment environment. 2)Cleans treatment area/equipment after each patient use and at the end of the day, using hospital-approved cleaning supplies. a. For treatment conducted in the gym, the Rehab Aide/Tech will clean treatment area /equipment after each patient use and at the end of the day. b. For treatment conducted in the patient’s room, the Rehab Aide/Tech is responsible for re-applying SCD’s, plugging in equipment, ensure the bed is in the lowest position and locked, bed rails are up, based on patient needs, call light, bedside table, phone is returned to pre-treatment locations. 1)Prior to treatment, the Rehab Aide/Tech will set-up the patient’s room and ensure the therapist has the equipment needed to conduct treatment. Maintenance of equipment and/or supplies necessary for daily operations of the clinic. 3)Vends DME to patients based on orders and therapist's recommendation. 1)Performs cleaning and maintenance of walkers, canes, crutches, stair case, mat table, splint pans, etc., after patient use. 2)Updates supervisor when equipment supply needs to be replaced/ordered. Participation in educational activities. 1)Keeps informed of changes occurring within the Physical Medicine department and Advocate Health Care. 2)Attends and participates in departmental meetings on regularly scheduled work days. 3)Participates in performance improvement initiatives within the department and organization. 4)Completes mandatory competencies and CBTs within specified timelines. Implementation of Department Goals. 1)Actively assists with achieving “Always” and “Very Good” responses on survey tools for inpatient and outpatient areas. 2)Identifies and reports safety events, including near misses. 3)Identifies opportunities for improvement within the department and organization. Performance of clerical tasks as related to the general operations of the department. 1)Answers phones, taking and delivering accurate messages 2)Assists in OP front desk responsibilities, if needed. 3)Assists supervisors with data collection for Lean projects and departmental performance improvement initiatives, as appropriate. 4)Assists with the mentoring and coaching of new Rehab Aides. Education/Experience Required: - High school diploma - 6 months experience working with people on a one-on-one basis Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: - Good interpersonal skills - Familiarity with computers -CPR certified Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: This position involves bending, lifting consistently at least 35 pounds, pushing wheelchairs and transferring patients, which often requires physical strength, endurance and use of proper body mechanics. Set-up of certain equipment requires strength to tighten knobs, etc. Physical stamina during emergency situations may be required and often cannot be delegated (i.e. assisting patients down stairs during re-education, performing CPR, etc.) Contact with infectious wounds and certain pathologies which requires the use of Universal Precautions is common. Use of Hazardous Material for cleaning and sterilization of equipment may be involved. Evening hours may be required. Weekend and holiday work is required in some work areas. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Addendum: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Requires use of Universal Precautions at times. This position will need to recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated (i.e.) understand child growth and development, normal patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging. Interprets physician referrals, as appropriate, and completes musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations utilizing appropriate methods.
Establishes a plan of care and implements individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals and by utilizing appropriate techniques. Monitors and evaluates outcomes and appropriately adjusts the individualized treatment plan based on the patient's response to treatment and provides status updates to physicians and other teammates. Identifies factors affecting patient's physical and psychosocial comfort and attends to these needs.
Plans for and completes patient discharge including providing written home programs, patient/family teaching, referral for community services, transition planning within the continuum of care and ordering equipment as indicated/appropriate. Communicates and collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to assist in achieving optimum care for the patient.
Completes all required documentation following department policy and accreditation standards with appropriate co- signatures, including patient evaluations, progress notes, team conference reports, and discharge summaries as appropriate. Record patient care and progress of each patient assigned. Completes daily statistics, billing, and scheduling. Applies insurance guidelines regarding authorization and number of visits. Responsible for maintaining site/department established productivity standards. Responsible for understanding and adhering to all billing and documentation policies, procedures, and timelines.
Responsible for cleaning up after patient treatment, putting away equipment, and keeping area neat and orderly. Performs various manual techniques, patient positioning, transferring and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique. Demonstrates skill in use of modalities, exercise equipment and other devices that are available in area worked per department orientation checklist. Demonstrates knowledge of indications and contraindications of modalities and exercise. Promotes patient safety by participating in safety initiatives as requested and appropriately follows all safety and infection control measures pertaining to the general working environment.
Participates in performance improvement activities designed to identify and resolve problems affecting patient care outcomes and to improve quality of care.Manages assigned caseload, informing site leadership of coverage needs and ability to cover; assists with coverage, based on department needs and regional needs
Pursues professional growth through participation in continuing education courses, department in-services, and reading professional literature. May supervise physical therapy assistants following all applicable state and local compliance requirements. Includes delegating patients to assistive personnel while providing direction, recommendations regarding treatment and ongoing supervision while maintaining responsibility for patient plan of care and goals. May supervise physical therapy extenders (rehab aides/techs) in administering treatments to patients and will teach them appropriate techniques to perform with specific patients. May supervise physical therapy students after completing one year of clinical experience.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school or educational requirements commensurate with the date of graduation. Maintains continuing education requirements as mandated by applicable state professional standards.
Certification / Registration / License
Licensed Physical Therapist in the State upon which you work. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (obtained within 90 days unless department leader has determined is not required) by American Heart Association (AHA)
