This job assumes responsibility for and provides diagnostic care according to departmental guidelines and standing orders under the direction of the physician. This includes, but is not limited to, enabling the operations of the section, providing technical expertise with procedures, and patient advocacy. The Arrhythmia Diagnostic Specialist provides quality reports for physician interpretation, dictation, and distribution.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Required - 3 years related experience in an outpatient clinical setting or completion and certification of EKG course in lieu of clinical experience.
Experience with 12 lead EKG and rhythm strips.
Experience maintaining confidentiality as defined by the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act.
Experience working efficiently and calmly under pressure and functioning without direct supervision when necessary.
Certifications
Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Preferred - Completion and certification of EKG course, Cardiac Technician certification, and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Self-directed
Job Duties
- Performs wound checks using aseptic techniques with suture removal when needed 7 to 10 days after implant of pacemaker or Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (AICD).
- Provides follow-up education to the patient by explaining basic pacemaker methods and issuing them a transmitter.
- Performs telephone pacemaker analysis 1 week and 4 weeks after every implant and every 4 months following or based on physician request; telephones the patient requesting the patient transmit electrocardiogram (EKG) (magnet and non-magnet) over the phone.
- Records, interprets and edits EKG strips in the pacemaker database system and then report for physician interpretation.
- Provides preliminary report of cardio-beeper within 10 to 14 days for physician interpretation at the end of the 30 day service or immediately upon request.
- Provides a preliminary holter report according to departmental protocol of arrhythmias obtained for physician review and interpretation within 24 hours of receiving recording or immediately for a stat request.
- Recognizes signs/symptoms of infection, hematoma and other post-op complications.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Other related duties as required.

Physical and Environmental Demands
The physical essential functions of this job include (but are not limited to) the following: Frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects; occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. Job Description:
- Provides enhanced patient care under the direction of the licensed nurse, which may include but is not limited to dressing care, removal of Foley Catheter and peripheral IV.
- Documents in the appropriate sections to create a complete and accurate medical record.
- Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to established standards. Reports any changes in patient condition to licensed personnel in a timely manner.
- Obtains and maintains the integrity of specimens in accordance with policy and procedure, according to physician order.
- Provides for or assists patients with activities of daily living and fulfills designated and delegated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care. Includes patient hygiene and changing linens.
- Provides one to one patient safety watch as assigned following established policies and procedures.
- Accurately processes specimens and provides timely transport of the specimen to the laboratory.
- Performs point of care patient testing and point of care instrument maintenance and quality control.
- Assists in problem solving, trouble shooting and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Serves as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and students in a positive manner.
- Performs clerical duties for admissions, transfers, discharges, and deaths according to standards and facilitates patient throughput activities. Transcribes and processes orders according to unit standard.
- Releases and confirms ordered tests to appropriate departments.
- Coordinate's transportation of patients to multiple tests.
- Participates in obtaining and communicating electronic information as pertinent to the nursing unit. Schedules tests, faxes consult, etc.
- Assists in ordering supplies. Stationery items as well as floor stock, patient needs, individual nursing supplies.
- Communicates with food services to ensure appropriate patient diets.
- Operates, problem solves, and takes corrective measures for clerical equipment. To include scheduling maintenance of computers, fax machines, phones, etc.
- Staff have access to non-controlled medications storage and supply areas and can transport non-controlled medications as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic or unit.
- Assists with transporting non-controlled medications to and from Pharmacy and within the unit as needed.
- Assists with transporting blood products to and from Blood Bank as needed.
- Discharge follow up phone calls / coordinating virtual discharge appointment team.
- Support / Assist staff with 5 min Drills and/or Quality Rounds - participate in regulatory readiness as needed.

Position Details:
BP7 Advanced Acute Care Medical
Schedule: Three 12-hour Night (7:00pm - 7:30am) shifts including every other weekend and holiday.
Required Orientation: At the start of employment, a two-week classroom orientation is required with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.

The Phlebotomist shall have a thorough knowledge and proficiency in techniques of blood collection and processing of specimens. The Phlebotomist shall be responsible for appropriate clerical and computer documentation associated with specimen collection and processing requirements. The phlebotomist shall use good judgment, with attention to details that may impact patient care. The employee shall demonstrate competency in technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Scope
This is a system-wide position for the assigned marketing and communication functions or portfolio and is not confined to a single Intermountain facility, business, or service line. The incumbent works closely and collaboratively with other MAC professionals within the Intermountain Healthcare system, helping Intermountain achieve its brand objectives and fulfill its Mission, Vision, and Values.
Job Essentials
Marketing Communications: Plans, researches, writes, edits, proof reads, produces, and distributes various communications (e.g., print, digital) for both internal and external audiences. Achieves desired results on time and under budget. Creates or finds artwork.
Multi-media production: Conceptualizes, writes and edits print, and presents online and video communications.
Follows writing and graphic design principles to produce materials using a variety of software programs. Develops and implements consistent standards for areas of responsibility to ensure system branding guidelines are followed with high quality and professionalism.
Evaluates and measures communications, keeps pace with technology, uses creativity, and maintains technical accuracy to ensure quality and effectiveness of campaigns and messages.
Performs technical writing and editing to promote the organization's products, services, and image as assigned across multiple mediums (e.g., web, social).
Works with facility and functional team leaders to execute strategic planning activities for the department and for individual projects.
Media relations: Designs, develops, and executes appropriate media relations strategies. Proactively develops professional relationships with external media. Responds to media inquiries in a timely manner.
Engages in assigned community relations activities. Facilitates the development of partnerships for focused local community and hospital/facility community relations and fund-raising initiatives. Organizes and executes community relations plans and programs.
Creates branded content (e.g., written, visual, video) as it pertains to coordinated campaigns.
Plans and executes details for organizational events.
Serves as an important contributor to assigned team or sub-function within MAC and utilizes competencies in multiple areas (e.g., building customer loyalty, coaching, communication, contributing to team success, decision making, healing commitments and values, managing work).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, journalism, business, or another related college major requiring strong writing skills. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Job Description:
The Surgical Services Support Technician is responsible for safely transporting patients to and from the operating room (OR) or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role includes organizing and restocking equipment, cleaning surgical suites, assisting with room turnover, maintaining sterile technique, supporting OR and anesthesia caregiver requests, and transporting specimens and blood following safe verification policies.
The Surgical Services Support Technician is expected to be able to assist with prompt case turnovers prioritizing a clean and organized OR, SDS, PACU, or patient environment. Essential duties include working closely with the surgical team and adapting to dynamic situations. The technician may also need to respond to code situations and assist as required. Promoting the health organization’s mission, vision, and values is also a key expectation.
Expanded duties may include scrubbing into procedures and assisting by holding extremities, retractors, cameras, suction, or organs. Caregivers in this role are trained in Basic Aseptic Technique.
Shift Details
Full-time, 36 hours/week. Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Call and Holidays required. Must be able to respond to OR within 30 minutes when on call
Essential Functions
- Transports patients safely to and from the OR holding area, PACU or patient rooms, utilizing proper patient handling techniques, and assists with lifting positioning, and transferring patients as needed.
- Consults with the anesthesiologist and registered nurse (RN) to determine equipment, setup, and supply needs prior to procedures. In time, anticipates procedural requirements and proactively prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies.
- Processes post-surgical case carts by safely discarding sharps, emptying suction canisters, redistributing unused supplies, and sending carts to the Sterile Processing Department for reprocessing.
- Sets up fluid warmers, invasive lines, and sterile supplies for anesthesia procedures, when assigned.
- Ensures timely turnover of operating rooms by cleaning all surfaces, removing trash and soiled linen, mopping beneath the OR bed, and preparing the room thoroughly for the next surgical case.
- Transports blood products and specimens to and from the blood bank, OR, SDS, PACU, and laboratory/pathology departments, ensuring strict adherence to all verification and safety protocols.
- When assigned, stocks supplies such as masks and surgical attire in the OR, as well as dietary and storeroom supplies in SDS and PACU, or other supplies as directed by the facility.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the facility, which may include verifying and logging warmer temperatures, checking eyewash stations, maintaining the utility room, and other support tasks as needed.
- Maintains proper traffic patterns and adheres to sanitation protocols for surgical and anesthesia instruments and equipment.

- Master's degree (MSN or MS in Nursing) and 2 years of recent clinical experience related to area of practice required

- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in specialty area of practice. Must maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges.
