Job Description:
PRN position (must have flexibility to help cover shifts in the department as needed)
Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning.

Shift Details: PRN position / no guaranteed hours (0-40 hrs/wk) This position will be help cover vacant shifts in the department.
This role would be providing patient meals as a server, working as early as 6:00am, OR as an evening server, which typically begins at 3:00 pm, closing at 8:00 pm. Every other weekend would be expected, and potentially major holidays.
Most PRN caregivers work 2-3 shifts per week (16-24 hrs/wk), depending on department needs.
Located at McKay-Dee Hospital Culinary Services
Additional Details: Exhibits reliability, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills while contributing to team success.
Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (required only in the states of Utah and Idaho).
- Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred)
Essential Functions
- Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
- Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (following standard recipe, assembling ingredients) for example, prepares salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit.
- Follows standardized practices relating to Nutrition Services (e.g. dining experience, meal delivery, maintaining required stock levels)
- Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment (oven, fryer, hoods).
- Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and independently resolves basic customer service issues.
Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work.
- Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work at a grill or in a refrigerator and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Job Description:
The Pharmacy Technician demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills in assisting the pharmacist in execution of appropriate, safe, efficacious, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The position participates in many procedural aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or technician supervisor and is an integral part of the pharmacy team. This position supports Pharmacy Services in all locations (i.e., acute, community, ambulatory, specialty).
This position will work Mondays through Fridays day shifts (starting at 7:30 or 8:00 am alternating). Some holidays, no weekends.
Covers central pharmacy, delivers chemotherapy to infusion clinic, triage calls and central operational tasks such chemotherapy inventory stock. Supports compounding.
Essential Functions
- Assists with all phases of pharmacy services while under the supervision of a pharmacist as required by state of practice and job duties.
- Answers phones and provides excellent customer service as appropriate to practice site.
- Assists the pharmacist in collecting clinical and other patient information and maintaining appropriate records as required by regulation and policy.
- Utilizes pharmacy technology effectively to prepare medication orders for dispensing, performs calculations as necessary, and compounds medications for accurate compounding as appropriate to practice site, in accordance with state law, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Attains appropriate supervision and accuracy checks by the pharmacist(s) and clearly understands when a pharmacist must verify tasks and activities.
- Accurately fills and maintains medication supplies including verifying and monitoring controlled substance inventories to ensure security, accuracy, cost effectiveness, and 340B/Charging management as required to practice site.
- Packages and labels medications accurately and appropriately to minimize waste as appropriate to practice site and job duties.
- Ensures pharmacy cleanliness and orderliness as appropriate to practice site.
- Communicates with caregivers regarding responsibilities, identified concerns, and participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying potential safety hazards that may create problems for patients and/or staff and takes appropriate actions to escalate items to the pharmacist for review as appropriate based on urgency, regulations, and scope.
- Participates in departmental meetings, contributing ideas or feedback and identifies potential areas for improvement including processes that could be streamlined or revised to improve patient satisfaction and seeks a team approach to developing and achieving best practices and processes.
- Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
- Delivers detail-oriented, consistent, flexible care and completes advanced tasks consistent with scope and performs other duties as assigned by management.

- Maintains the surgery schedule, providing necessary information to patients and physicians.

- Obtains copies of insurance card(s), forms of ID, and signature(s) on all required forms. Verify information on appropriate accounts to determine insurance coordination of benefits, pre-certification/prior-authorization. Complete the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) questionnaire when applicable. Verifies insurance to determine coordination of benefits and obtains authorization and/or referrals as required. This position is responsible for patient care in the emergency department as assigned under the medical direction of the base hospital EMS Medical Director. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional paramedic practice. This position is accountable for the quality of patient services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Evaluates acuity level of patients and insures appropriate matching of patients care needs to unit and hospital resources. Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their specific needs.
2. Performs basic patient care appropriately within scope of training: positioning, transportation, phlebotomy, ECGs, maintenance of spinal precautions. Administers or monitors medications when indicated and as ordered by a physician. Such medications are limited to those approved for administration and/or monitoring by a paramedic in the State of practice. Assists patient in transfer using proper body mechanics and transfer techniques. Starts peripheral intravenous lines, including external jugular lines, initiates infusion, and maintains and adjusts fluid administration per physician order.
3. Performs cardio-vascular monitoring and management within scope of training.
4. Performs airway management within scope of training and within state guidelines to include oxygen administration, tracheal suctioning, assisting with ventilation, positioning, end-tidal CO2 and pulse-ox monitoring.
5. Actively participates in the resuscitation of critical patients as assigned. Observes and monitors patients through the diagnostic phase of treatment.
6. Performs other duties as assigned based on competency and training.
7. Recognizes changes in patient status that requires notification of charge or primary nurse and physician. Keeps charge or primary nurse informed of patient status and current activities. Alerts responsible physician to changes in patient status.
8. Documents assessment and reassessments within unit guidelines on appropriate documentation forms. Documents the incorporation of assessment findings and appropriate standards statement to support desired Patient Outcomes. Documents patient progress toward outcomes and responses to interventions/therapeutic modalities example: Response to pain medication. Documents the discharge plan of care and services consulted during patient visit.
9. Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Must possess a current and valid Paramedic certification or license within the state of practice and maintenance thereafter. Current BLS and ACLS certification is required. PALS is required if working in the Emergency Department or with Pediatric population. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on specialty of practice.
Moderate experience typically gained through 2-4 years relevant work experience OR 12-18 months in an educational program.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
FP-C or CCT-P Certification if working in ICU, Burn or CVCU.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

$24.32 - $36.48 / hour

The position of Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the areas assigned within UofL Health Corporate Finance. The primary responsibility will be to direct the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal cycles within the Chief Financial Officer's organization. This position requires consistent and continuous coordination on the many finance and accounting services provided by UofL Health administration.

• Analyze recurring organizational financial performance – monthly or quarterly operating result meetings Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable.
• Analyze actual financial results and budget variances for profit and loss, balance sheets and statements of cash flows.
• Provide full support for annual balance sheet and cash flow budgeting, to complement P&L and capital budgeting by organization.
• Ensure that reporting requirements are fully met. This is for both internal and external purposes.
• Control a rigorous close process with clear accountabilities, a well communicated calendar, performance metrics and cross-functional participation.
• Assists with the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
• Lead the monthly close process to include consolidation and reporting.
• Ensure that all annual external financial reporting and debt compliance reporting is completed accurately and timely.
• Serve as GAAP and FASB technical resource in conjunction with external auditors.
• Assist with training, educating and coaching staff.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Patient Support Technician functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in partnership with and under supervision of the Registered Nurse utilizing principles of Relationship-Based Care, performs direct patient care to a specific group of patients and coordinates activities which relate to the flow of unit processes. Actively supports the activities of the unit based shared governance council. Promotes organizational commitment and excellence in patient care experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Demonstrates principles of Relationship-based Care to cultivate and maintain therapeutic relationships as a means to optimal healing and collegial functioning as an interdisciplinary care team member.
Provides patient care that reflects respect for patients' rights, dignity, values, culture preferences, and expressed needs and attention to providing comfort, relieving pain, and alleviating anxiety.
Provides basic bedside care and selected procedures under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Including but not limited to: venipuncture, 12 lead EKG, basic blood glucose collection and monitoring, respiratory care (i.e. Cough and deep breathing, incentive spirometry, pulse oximetry, oxygen setup, hand held nebulizer), dressing changes, collection of vital signs, recognition of life-threatening conditions with initial responses and reporting, emptying and measuring drainage equipment.
Performs activities of daily living (ADL) appropriate to the patient's condition under the direction of and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Initiates and maintains patient medical records.
Manages communication for the unit including placing and receiving calls from physicians, other departments, and visitors.
Maintains an accurate patient roster/census and available ready beds.
Assists with the provision of patient education under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Integrates principles of the Personal.Connected.Journey and demonstrates Trinity Health Guiding Behaviors to provide excellent care of self, patients, and care team members.
Performs basic nutritional support to patients such as bed set up, assistance with feeding, and collection and documentation of intake and calorie count as appropriate.
Takes personal accountability to seek out experiences in order to maintain skills and competence.
Seeks and incorporates feedback concerning improvement in one's own practice, including participation in self-appraisal.
Assists with the admission process by collecting selected assessment data, applying necessary equipment, labeling patient's clothes and belongings, informing patient/family of unit routines, etc.
Provides individualized care consistent with the plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Actively engages and participates in unit-based and other committees and indicatives that promote patient and workplace safety, optimal patient outcomes, and satisfaction.
Reports changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
Demonstrates proper body mechanics in performing role.
Performs other various duties as assigned and needed. These duties may vary depending upon the unit, patient type and need, number and complexity of treatment provided. Additional duties may also include nonclinical duties consistent with meeting the needs of the patient and care team.

In accordance with unit or departmental practice, assists with tracking and monitoring of equipment assigned to the unit. Requests services for maintaining equipment as needed.
In accordance with unit or departmental practice, proficient with the electronic health records for documentation, assessment, and care management, performing these activities concurrently with provision of care throughout the shift.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Preferably at least one of the following:
6 months direct patient care experience within past 5 years.
Completion of one Medical/Surgical clinical rotation in a nursing educational program.
Completion of a "Patient Care Technician" program that requires successful completion of an externship in an acute care facility.
Previous Health Unit Coordinator/Unit Secretary working experience.
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program or equivalent.
Completion of one of the following preferred:
1. Certification program which requires a Medical/Surgical rotation.
2. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
3. Equivalent work experience as defined in Section D.
Licensure/Certification:
If EMT - current licensure in State of Michigan.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Maintains appropriate skill level through completion of required hospital and unit based education offerings.
In a typical day, the colleague may sit for 25%, stand for 25%, and walk for 50% of the day.
Working in the patient care environment may result in exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous substances.
Working weekends and holidays is necessary to meet staffing needs. Work in other units and shifts may be assigned as necessary to also meet staffing requirements.
Associate's position requires occasional (5-10% of work time) squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing, frequent bending/stooping, and reaching above shoulder level, pushing/pulling.
Position requires the use of hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulating.
Position may require frequent lifting and carrying of patients/equipment other not to exceed 51 pounds. Associates will not lift items/patients exceeding 35 pounds from the floor.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain quality digital images of designated body portions for interpretation by physicians.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Confirms patient identity is correct, checks in patients, schedules appointments. Creates Radiology Module. Greets and courteously escorts patient and other guests to examination room. Interprets patient histories and physician instructions. Prepares patients for procedures utilizing aseptic and sterile technique. Positions patients for radiologic examination. Selects exposure factors, takes exposure and processes images. Practices radiation protection. Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures through the application of ionizing radiation to produce digitized images. May operate diagnostic bone density equipment to obtain pertinent information and images necessary for interpretation by physician per ISCD (International Society of Clinical Densitometry) criteria. Records pertinent information on requisitions. Directly enters medication, laboratory, and/or radiology orders into the electronic medical record per state, local and professional guidelines. Responds to patient emergencies as needed. Cleans work area, examination rooms and equipment as needed; performs limited maintenance of equipment. Performs image-management duties within the PACS system and NextGen, as required. Documents patient information in a timely and accurate manner to ensure continuity of high quality health care. Check out duties include assisting with ensuring that patient encounter forms are completed thoroughly and accurately. Completes forms in accordance with office and IHA protocols. Sends letters and reminders to patients. Serves as liaison between patient and physician when necessary. Ensures timely and courteous follow-up regarding patient questions. Maintains compliance with government and reimburser requirements and with clinic standards of care. Provides support to clerical and clinical staff and providers as needed. When supporting the clerical staff, tasks to support may include answering phones, tasking messages for the MA/Provider Group, completing medical records requests and working the fax server/mail. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Valid CPR certification. Valid registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. For those obtaining Bone Density images, valid certification by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry or ability to become certified within 90 days of hire.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years prior experience helpful but not required.
