$20.80 - $31.20Aurora Health Care is hiring experienced CNAs to join our Regional Float Pool.
Requirements
- Active WI CNA in good standing
- 1+ year acute/hospital experience (2+ years preferred)
Location:
- Float to up to 7 Aurora hospitals within your selected Zone. Must be able to support all the medical centers in Zone 2: St. Luke's, St. Luke's South Shore, Washington County, Grafton, West Allis, Sinai and Zilber Hospice OR Aurora Psych Hospital

Additional Job Description details:
- Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated.
- Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately.
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
- Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated using approved process for accurate specimen labeling and identification. Maintains competency as required.
- Completes various errands as directed including pick-up and delivery of trays, charts, specimens, and reports. Maintains and orders stock for nursing area. Cleans equipment and work areas.
- Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices. Performs tasks related to nutritional needs of patient under direction of RN to include diet review, tray set up/removal, proper positioning and diet selection.
- Performs tasks related to maintaining skin integrity to include proper repositioning and skin care. Ensures special patient supplies and appliances are provided and maintained such as TED hose and sequential compression devices.
- Under the direction of RN and as determined by site/unit requirements, may be required to remove IVs, provide post mortem care, and bladder scans.
- Practices within policies and procedures of infection prevention by demonstrating hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile and aseptic procedures, proper disposal of contaminated materials and utilizing proper attire when in direct contact with patients in isolation.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days, and
- Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry in which the team member practices.
Education Required:
- Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED), or
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- None.

- Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

- Must be able to:
- push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
- perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.

- Must have functional vision and hearing.
- Will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids on a continuous basis; therefore, protective clothing must be worn as necessary.

- Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation which may include use of therapeutic assistive devices, proper positioning, range of motion and special transferring as indicated. Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (Temperature, Pulse, Respiration), I & O (Intake and Output), daily weights, and other patient data as requested. Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Participates in admission, transfer and discharge process under supervision of RN including room set up, orientation to room, removing linen, and proper management of patient belongings. Ensures patient call light is always in reach of patient and answers call-lights promptly.
- Performs purposeful rounding under direction of RN and promptly communicates observations, concerns, and needs of patient/family to RN. Documents appropriately. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties which require lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices.

Job Duties:
Provides direct patient care and clinical support for physicians and other providers in the outpatient setting. Functions as an integral member of the health care team under the direction of the provider. Performs clinical duties such as preparing patients, collecting and reviewing pertinent information, performing technical duties, documenting using the electronic medical record, and supporting a safe environment for patients. GENERAL SUMMARY:
A Respiratory Therapist performs patient assessment, evaluation for appropriate therapy, administration of therapy, consultation with other health care providers, diagnostic testing, implementation and troubleshooting of equipment and monitoring of patient. These services are provided as appropriate for patient age to include neonate, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric adult.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs inhaled medication therapy, arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, helium-oxygen therapy, carbon dioxide-oxygen therapy, nitric oxide-oxygen therapy, CPAP therapy, BIPAP therapy, bland aerosol therapy, PEP therapy, high-frequency oscillator therapy, and ventilatory support modalities as ordered by physician.
- Participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assists or performs intubation, manages artificial airway, and transport of patients requiring ventilatory support.
- Assembles, manipulates, and troubleshoots Respiratory Care equipment including mechanical ventilators, pulse oximeters, capnometers, aerosol generators, medical gas delivery systems, humidification systems, and mechanical percussors.
- Interprets diagnostic results for feasibility and reports results, to include blood or other body fluid analysis by blood gas analyzer and co-oximeter, pulmonary function screening, pulmonary mechanics studies, end-tidal C02, and pulse oximetry.
- Performs record keeping, billing and medical record documentation functions.
- Provides patient instruction in the use of Respiratory Care devices and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Respiratory Care Program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP).
- Credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- State of Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Major Responsibilities:

- Ensures the environmental disinfection, safety and efficiency of the operating room. About this role:
As a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider with Intermountain Health, you will be an integral part of our Southwest Utah Neonatology Team, which includes 3 Neonatologists and 8 Neonatal APPs. We provide care at St George Regional Hospital's level III 24 bed NICU, with a growing presence at Cedar City Hospital's special care nursery.
- In this role, you will provide care at both St George Regional and Cedar City Hospital, with an overall goal of keeping babies and mothers together in hospital whenever medically appropriate, reducing their life flight and transfer costs.
- You will attend deliveries, allowing for immediate resuscitation assistance.
- While you will see a wide variety of acuity and complexity in cases, your care will have a particularly significant impact on allowing babies to stay in Cedar City when they fail a CPAP trial and are 34 weeks gestation or greater.
- Supported by qualified staff including RNs, Respiratory Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Dietitians, CNAs, among others. You'll have opportunity to provide education to these team members, and build collegial, trusting relationships with local pediatricians.
- Our APPs report directly to an AP Team Lead, who is also a practicing Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Full time, when working in Cedar City your schedule will include 12-hour day shifts. In St George, shifts are taken in 24-hour increments as we are a 24/7 service in hospital.

Job Description:
This position is responsible for overseeing inventory management activities for assigned departments or clinical programs. Key duties include distributing and managing supplies to ensure that medical products, linens, and equipment are adequately stocked and ready for clinical use. The role also involves day-to-day management of inventory for the assigned department, facility, or clinical program, ensuring seamless operations and availability of necessary supplies.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
Hours: Days (6:00am - 2:30pm)
Essential Functions
- Performs inventory control on stock and non-stock items (e.g., sets par levels, identifies and adjusts to trends) for assigned units. Keeps supplies binned and organized. Acts as liaison between Supply Chain and assigned department, facility, or clinical program.
- Orders and delivers supplies for assigned department, facility, or clinical program using appropriate technology, systems, and suppliers.
- Communicate information concerning supply levels, new products, standardization, and implementation relevant to the department staff. Troubleshoots issues for problem resolution.
- Responsible for Par Location Management, PIRS Replenishment, Location Maintenance, Delivery, Label maintenance and Kanban visuals.
- Monitors quantity on hand issues reconciling and solves any discrepancies.
- Utilizes the SCIS system ensuring distribution, inventory, receiving, departmental files, and reports are managed in accordance with Auditing, Accounting, and other regulatory agencies.
- Ensures compliance with policy and standard operating procedures.
- Reviews daily, weekly and monthly reports for assigned locations.

Required Qualifications
- Six Months of related Materials Management experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and speak English clearly, follow verbal and written instructions, and understand customer communications.
- Experience using basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet, e-mail, and scheduling applications.
- Experience in a role requiring strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
- Demonstrated ability to visually inspect boxes, packing slips, computed reports, and like objects.
- Demonstrated ability to use a pallet jack and other materials handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, carts).
- Experience in a role working with healthcare supplies.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of healthcare related distribution experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, etc. and to identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing, operating telephones, and other office equipment.
- Expected to bend, lift, and carry patient files, documents, equipment, and supplies.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time while interacting with others or to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
