Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient’s care consistent with the Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care and initiates change through active involvement in the unit-based and hospital shared governance councils while contributing to a healthy professional practice environment.
National Professional Nursing Standards serve as guidelines for nurses as they utilize critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills and exercise appropriate nursing judgment. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse serves as a role model through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning. Utilizes the Nursing Process as the framework for providing care.

The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support within an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient history, and facilitating patient flow. Additional duties involve managing the electronic health record (EPIC), scheduling appointments, processing medication requests, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures. Upon successful completion of clinical competency, the role may also require performing EKGs, lab tests, injections, and/or
phlebotomy. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to ensure efficient patient care and support for providers. This role requires regular on-site presence to perform the essential job functions.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of a formal Medical Assistant training program or a minimum of one year of direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinic procedures (e.g. EKGs, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines).
Upon hire, all Medical Assistants will undergo a clinical competency assessment and must successfully complete MA orientation. Those who do not meet the required standards will be enrolled in the Medical Assistant (MA) Trainee Program for further development and reevaluation.
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Requirements:
Current Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT or AAMP OR active Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.

Serves as the facility’s representative to the business community and public at large
Plan new programs to be developed within the office. Researches and isolates opportunities and develops plans for Director review to market new or existing services the facilities may offer
Daily balancing and bank depositing and invoice processing
Must be able to conduct periodic audits of charts, policies and procedures and/or direct this process for the entire facility.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of employees
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Associate’s degree in business or health care related field
4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Excellent leadership, analytical and project management skills as demonstrated by the ability to manage personnel and technical issues and the knowledge of financial analysis tools and PC skills.
Must have an in-depth knowledge of the payor environment, patient service delivery systems and federal/state rules and regulations regarding billing processes.

Transporter - Transport

Transport patients safely and efficiently to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas via wheelchair or movable bed, to include transport of patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and special equipment.

Assist patients with mobility needs, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transportation devices.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and clinical support within an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient history, and facilitating patient flow. ED staff encounter a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. New Graduate RNs are welcome.

Job Summary:
Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transports and transfers patients and assess the extent of an illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to follow. Applies artificial respiration or administers oxygen in cases of suffocation and asphyxiation, starts and administers intravenous fluids, performs other emergency medical interventions in accordance with State and Locally approved medical protocols.
Job Requirements:
Paramedic License issued by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.

Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area
Job Duties:
In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers in an ER/Urgent Care setting.
About the Department:
This hybrid emergency room and urgent care provides both types of care to patients conveniently under one roof. Patients will receive the appropriate level of care in a simple, cost effective one-stop location. The emergency room will provide care on a 24/7 basis with transport services available to handle high-acuity emergency situations needing surgery. Nurses at this location will have a background or training in emergency care. On-site imaging and laboratory services are also available.
Qualifications:
Graduate of approved nursing program.
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
PALS required within 12 months of hire.
ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification required within 10 weeks of hire.
Previous ER experience preferred.

Summary
The primary purpose of the Community/Retail Pharmacy Technician is to assist the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager with serving customers and maintaining the Community Pharmacy at Baptist Health. This position requires taking responsibility within appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for many of the medication preparation and distribution duties. The Community Pharmacy Technician will assist the Community Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacists in prescription fulfillment, playing a key role in pharmacy operations and providing excellent patient service. The Community Pharmacy Technician functions in a multi-skilled environment, which requires the application of teamwork, leadership and flexibility. This position has a high degree of interaction with patients, family members, visitors and other members of the health care team.Job Description:
Baptist Health is looking for Community/Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team at Baptist Health Lexington, 1700 Nicholasville Road!
Performs all functions and duties with the patient at the center, ensuring prompt and friendly service in the Community Pharmacy.
Performs all tasks associated with the filling and dispensing of community prescriptions, including computer order entry, updating patient information, filling and labeling prescriptions, and completing transactions at the point of sale.
Delivery of medications to discharging patients per Pharmacist’s requests.
Completes prescriber outreach for prescription refills under direct pharmacist supervision.
Assists with scheduling and coordinating home delivery for prescriptions.
Assists in inventory management processes, including order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.
Ability to prioritize workflow by patient impact and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed at the end of the shift.
Performs simple nonsterile compounding per current USP<795> guidelines and as permitted by state law under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Assists in training new staff when assigned.
Escalates all identified problems or patient complaints, if they cannot be corrected by the employee, to the Pharmacist.
Attends and contributes to the content of meetings and committees as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency is required.
Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.
If not currently registered, the registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy will be required before or on the date of hire (only an application and fee).
