Unit Overview: 6A, Medical-Surgical-Telemetry unit.
6A is a 23 bed post interventional telemetry unit. Units primarily serves patients who have undergone cardiac catheterization procedures including interventional procedures and electrophysiology. Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoral sheaths and Tikosyn.

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.

Baptist Health LaGrange is adding a brand new 11-bed inpatient behavioral health unit. Our focus will be providing care for adults 18 and older who require hospitalization for behavioral health needs in a safe and structured environment. The unit utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach to provide care for patients. Team is made up of registered nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, recreational therapist, and psychiatrist.
What You'll Do:
Assists with routine patient care as delegated by nursing staff
Assists in obtaining patient histories, takes vital signs, I & O and documents
Complete safety rounds for patients and unit as delegated/assigned
Maintains clean and tidy patient room/environment
Responds to requests for service and assistance in a positive manner
Advocate for patient

Unit Description
5B is a 22-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in women’s care, oncology, gynecology, and palliative/hospice care. The unit also cares for patients receiving chemotherapy. In addition, 5B provides post-operative care for plastic surgery and general surgery patients.
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
Job Description:
Provides direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning.
Obtains and documents vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens, and other patient data.
Performs delegated clinical procedures such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and venipuncture.
Assists with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.
Performs clerical and unit coordination duties, including patient charts and physician orders.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and a safe patient care environment.
Responds to patient needs and emergency situations while providing compassionate, respectful care.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation

Additional duties involve managing the electronic health record (EPIC), scheduling appointments, processing medication requests, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency
1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or similar setting required. Experience must include direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (e.g. EKG’s, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines).
Or Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, that includes hands on patient experience as part of the curriculum, required.
Upon hire, all Medical Assistants will undergo a clinical competency assessment and must successfully complete MA orientation. Those who do not meet the required standards will be enrolled in the Medical Assistant Trainee Program for further development and evaluation.

Description Registered Nurse-OR:
- Assessment of patients’ needs.
- Development of patient care plan/s
- Provision of direct care.
- Management of patient care delivery.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Support for quality care.
- Customer relations and healing environment.
- On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation.
- Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.
- Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.
- Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.
Requirements Registered Nurse-OR:
- Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.

- Prepares copy of images and records image release in electronic health record.
- Verifies images archived to PACS and notifies PACS administrator of any issues.
- Send images to tele-radiology service after hours as instructed.
- Participates in image Peer Review with US Coordinator.
- Works with US Coordinator and Radiologist on ACR accreditation as needed.
- Assists US Coordinator, Radiology Manager, and Radiology Director in equipment and software selections.
- Verifies orders, verifies patient name/birth date and history.
- Documents of all incidents related to patient care on electronic health records (example-incident reports, medications given, etc.)
- Performs and documents time out procedure for invasive procedures.
- Follow department protocol for all exams.
- Provides initial interpretation for exams by department protocol.
- Works with transport and nursing units to coordinate patient exams.
- Continuously monitors the patient throughout the exam.
- Assist Radiologist and authorize providers with exams/procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree.
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in sonography or equivalent.
- Current certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligible.
- Must obtain ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn. If not certified upon hire, you must obtain certifications within one year of hire.
- Less than one year.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.

4G is a 20-bed telemetry unit. This unit specializes in post-op CABG patients, post-op cardiac surgery, CHF and moderate risk chest pain patients. The population has multiple co-morbidities and complex care. The patient population is transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU.
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients.
Job Description:
Provides direct patient care, including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and positioning.
Obtains and documents vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimens, and other patient data.
Performs delegated clinical procedures such as blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, and venipuncture.
Assists with patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.
Performs clerical and unit coordination duties, including patient charts and physician orders.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and a safe patient care environment.
Responds to patient needs and emergency situations while providing compassionate, respectful care.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completions of first year of Nursing program with validation of clinical rotation
