POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for scheduling surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized scheduling system. The position is also responsible for entering patient charges, orders, and other pertinent information into the system and compiling and reporting statistical information to management. The incumbent may act as an office liaison for department staff, physicians, and patient families.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinates case times for elective, urgent or emergent surgeries, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures in a computerized scheduling system. Verifies and reviews physician privilege status prior to scheduling. Interfaces with medical staff office to maintain log of current privilege status and maintains confidentially of all information. May acquire and maintain physician preference information and staff roster.

2. Acquires authorization numbers, History and Physicals, results of laboratory tests and verifies that they are current. Orders previous medical records for the day of the procedure, when necessary.

3. Types and prints physician orders for multiple physicians and departments. Schedules and maintains physician block time, and block time releases.

4. Enters physician’s orders for lab, blood bank, medical imaging, and cardiology. Enters results of diagnostic tests, patient registration information and patient charges. Compiles data and prepares statistical reports for management.

5. Conducts charge management audits for assigned area. Reconciles charge packet information with the audit. Identifies missed or incorrect charges and corrects when appropriate.

6. Acts as a receptionist to assigned unit; answers phones, relays message. Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians, and families and answers questions about policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison among nursing units, physician and staff to relay patient data. Screens requests for patient information and refers to appropriate staff. Records and types minutes of staff meetings, when required. Prepares and distributes staff call roster each month.

7. Enters facility work orders and supply orders when required by assigned department. Requests repairs/maintenance for business machines in the department. Arranges for pickup and delivery of instruments and equipment and completes all necessary paperwork.

8. This position has responsibility for scheduling surgeries and procedures and maintaining a smooth workflow in the area. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, under stressful situations, set priorities and maintain highly confidential information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 2 years of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital central scheduling or physician office scheduling setting. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Also requires knowledge of payor contract terms and processes. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Requires effective teamworking skills and the ability to meet deadlines and productivity standards.

The position requires knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the ability to use computerized scheduling systems. Must possess the ability to maintain accurate statistical records, gather data, and produce reports.

Banner Research is currently seeking a Senior Research Regulatory Affairs Associate to provide regulatory support for facility-based research. All clinical research studies have a myriad of regulatory documents and required submissions. Failure to maintain required documentation and IRB approvals would result in non-compliance with federal regulations. As a facility-based Senior Research Regulatory Affairs Associate, you will provide regulatory support for a variety of types of projects, such as clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, cooperative studies, chart reviews, and more.  Our portfolio includes multiple research areas, such as cardiovascular disease, orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, pharmacy, and many others. We provide research regulatory support for many of the Banner hospitals and other facilities where research is taking place in multiple states.

As a Senior Research Regulatory Affairs Associate you will work closely with clinicians, coordinators, and other site staff while maintaining an electronic Investigator Site File for all studies. In a typical day, you may assist in making sure documents meet IRB specifications and submit to the IRB, collect and update regulatory documents, and interact with various stakeholders. Every day is different, so an interest in learning about multiple types of studies is a plus. You should be able to stay very organized while multitasking, meeting deadlines, prioritizing your workload, and feel comfortable using online and Microsoft programs. Critical thinking and attention to detail are also important. We spend most of the day on the computer and interacting with staff, clinicians, monitors/sponsors and IRBs.

Schedule: Remote Hybrid: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm but flexible as long as during regular business hours. .

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is expected to demonstrate some degree of personal and professional competency and critical thought processes with guidance. Provides direction for the daily operational coordination for all regulatory aspects of sponsored, grant-funded and/or investigator-initiated research projects. Serves as the professional resource for regulatory information, handles the submission of electronic regulatory documents; maintains electronic site documents. Leads coordination of regulatory activities with sponsors, clinical research organizations (CROs), clinical research staff, institutional review boards (IRBs) and other internal stakeholders.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepare and submit research applications and perform regulatory study start up activities, edit informed consents and other related documents, may assist Principal Investigators (PIs) with protocol and study-related document development, facilitate completion of ongoing continuation reports to the IRB which include adverse event and protocol deviation reporting, study amendment reporting and complete other submissions to respective IRBs as required.

2.Maintain all electronic  regulatory documents including protocols, investigator brochures, consents, and recruiting materials. facilitate completion of continuing reviews and amendments per sponsor, participating institutions, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory agency regulations, policies and procedures, and/or guidelines.

3.Act as site’s regulatory point-person to provide information to the PI, Research Director or Clinical Trial Senior Manager, and study staff regarding IRB submissions and approvals of study-related documents. Maintain protocol status updates for pending and active projects. May participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and educational events.

4.Interact with sponsors and CROs, providing requested regulatory documents throughout the life of a study. Participate in site initiation visits, sponsor monitoring, audits and the FDA inspections for review of electronic regulatory binders. Serve as the liaison and expert regulatory representative and professional resource for assigned projects. Interact with sponsors, participating research institutions, CROs, regulatory agencies, and involved institutional departments on behalf of the PI or the IRB.

5.Coordinate regulatory activities with the needs of research staff or the IRB to ensure timely submission of all regulatory documents and requests of sponsors.

6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on federal, state, and local research regulatory requirements. Serve as designated regulatory point-person for audits performed by regulatory agencies (i.e., OHRP, ORI, and FDA). Engage in core measures of customer service. Exhibit professional standards to ensure human subjects protection in the conduct of clinical research.

7. Perform other administrative duties as required to support the senior regulatory staff or the site’s RD or CTSM.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or science related field or at least two to three years of substantial and ongoing professional experience working in the research regulatory environment. In addition, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be allowed.

Must have professional designations such as Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP®), or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC®) or equivalent additional years of direct research regulatory experience.

Must possess knowledge and understanding of the applicable regulatory requirements, as well as the commonly accepted concepts, practices and procedures within the research regulatory arena. In addition, must be able to use them in varied situations. Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, and work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects. Demonstrated capacity to problem solve, think critically and creatively, and provide assistance through a consultative role. Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for conducting preventative and corrective work to the facility center’s operations of the power plant and facility infrastructure equipment including, mechanical equipment boilers, co-generator engines, chillers and emergency generators. Reviews construction and remodeling projects and contracted mechanical work for code compliance and compatibility to existing mechanical and electrical systems. Oversees the monitoring of the facilities automated systems including tube transport, fire alarm system, elevators and medical gas systems. Works with and assists other trades in completing required tasks.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Inspects and services facility utilities equipment and systems. Keeps the designated Facilities Services manager informed as to the needs and / or changes required to keep the facilities infrastructure systems operating in a safe and well maintained condition.

2. Coordinates the preventative maintenance program of all utility and infrastructure systems, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, medical gas systems, water treatment programs, water distribution systems, building management systems, emergency generators and all associated components in order to ensure the integrity and reliability of the utility distribution systems. Monitors and modifies the infrastructure and utility preventive maintenance program to assure maximum effectiveness; provides all required and appropriate documentation.

3. As assigned, works with all other divisions and departments to meet the facility infrastructure and utility maintenance, installation and construction needs; negotiates priorities, plans work schedules and job assignments. Recommends use of outside mechanical and utility specialty contractors as appropriate. Oversees and monitors outside mechanical and utility specialty contractors to assure compliance with established hospital standards.

4. Schedules and monitors utility and infrastructure maintenance repair work, alterations and renovation upgrades to the facilities utility and infrastructure systems. As assigned, oversees and monitors infrastructure construction, installation and commissioning activities. Monitors systems and installation processes to ensure the integrity of assigned infrastructure, utility and building systems.

5. Instructs personnel regarding infrastructure and utility hazards to ensure the safe operation and use of equipment. Provides guidance, direction and oversight for infrastructure and utility training. Reviews and selects continuing educational materials and offerings for infrastructure training.

6. Coordinates infrastructure and utility system parts, materials and supplies at an appropriate level within budgetary constraints. Maintains infrastructure and utility replacement schedules and records to keep within the projected capital equipment budget. Determines department specifications for all components of the hospital’s infrastructure and utility systems. Reviews materials to ensure the quality of all utility and infrastructure components for installations during construction and remodel projects. Provides input to the designated Facilities Services manager.

7. Oversees and maintains records for facility compliance with all applicable Authorities Having Jurisdiction including local, state, federal and all other regulatory codes pertaining to any and all components of the facilities infrastructure and utility systems. As required, attends annual code compliance and update training.

8. Works independently under general supervision. Fulfills responsibilities using specialized skills and knowledge. This position interacts with a wide variety of individuals including staff, co-workers, patients, physicians, visitors, regulatory agencies, surveyors, inspectors, contractors, and vendors. This position is facility based and has no budgetary responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires three or more years of diversified work experience as a plant mechanic, stationary engineer, boiler operator, or refrigeration mechanic and the ability to demonstrate advanced skills in the field of plant operations.

Must have working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems and components common to the healthcare environment. Must be able to exercise independent decision making and judgment in the performance of all duties. Requires the ability to work safely and effectively with infrastructure and utility equipment. Must have current Boiler Operator’s License if required by the state in which employed or applicable Authorities Having Jurisdiction. Denver and Pueblo Colorado require Boiler Operator License.

Requires working knowledge and certification as required of applicable regulatory codes and State and local building codes. Must have working knowledge of utility and infrastructure systems and components common to the healthcare environment. Must be able to exercise independent decision making and judgment in the performance of all duties. Requires the ability to work safely and effectively with infrastructure and utility equipment. May require Universal Refrigerant handling certification. Must be proficient in reading and understanding related and required maintenance and construction documents. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.

Must be able to work effectively with common office software programs and software programs specific to the Plant.

Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. POSITION SUMMARY
This position selects and places surgical instruments, supplies and equipment during surgery. Scrubs and provides instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies during surgical procedure. The Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting the physician with advanced tasks during surgical procedures which include cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, cardiac assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions. The CVOR ST must be able to work under high pressure in a fast paced environment. 

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares for surgical procedures. Pulls appropriate instruments and supplies and ensures good working order of instruments. Reviews case carts for correct instruments and supplies. Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and makes minor adjustments or calls biomedical equipment staff. Checks schedule and plans ahead for upcoming surgical case needs.

2. Anticipates the surgeon's needs. Passes instruments and retracts tissue. Maintains competency to scrub in a minimum of two surgical specialties.

3. Demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure. Disposes of sharps and trash and places used supplies into case cart for processing. Participates in counting sharps, instruments and sponges. Prepares instruments for cleaning following each case.

4. Ensures that all surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.

5. Assists with OR turnover between cases. Participates in stocking, replenishing supplies and cleaning operating rooms.

6. Participates in or leads the training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students, as assigned.

8. POSITION SUMMARY
This position assists technologists and/or nurses in department by performing non-technical, patient and procedure-related duties in accordance with department/facility policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative support functions and customer service for an assigned patient care area which promote an organized, efficient delivery of care to patients.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. 4. Fulfills requests for images and reports ensuring availability in system, hard copy (film), and/or CD as required and follows proper protocols for releasing confidential patient information.

5. Receives patient in applicable systems, confirms patient demographics and insurance information and performs insurance verification when required. May be required to calculate and collect copays, deductibles, and self-pay. Totals charges on patient’s super-bill at check-out. Enters pending discharges into the system. Coordinates patient appointments for procedures and treatments that may be required prior to timely discharge. Processes patient discharges. Coordinates transportation to care centers and residential homes as requested by patients or physicians.

6. Prints physician schedules, super-bills, labels and other applicable forms in preparation for next business day. Pulls and files patient charts and prepares new patient charts as needed. Prints and files transcription notes. Reconciles charge tickets to each day's schedule, identifies incomplete tickets, missing charge codes or missing diagnosis and notifies clinical staff. Forwards completed tickets and/or billing package to the business office or billing company.

7. Assists technologists and nurses in pre and post procedure room preparation by obtaining necessary supplies and assisting patients as necessary. Ensures procedure rooms are stocked appropriately. Understand sterile procedure and assists with setting up sterile trays, where applicable. Adheres to radiation safety policies. Escorts patients back to the patient exam rooms, takes vitals and patient history; may assist with patient treatment to include peripheral IV insertion, IV discontinuation and Point of Care Testing (POCT) if required by the assigned facility (completion of Banner’s peripheral IV insertion course and validation of skill must be completed prior to any peripheral IV insertion and discontinuation performed. Completion of Banner’s POCT education and validation of skill must be completed prior to any Point of Care Testing being performed).

8. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery.

9. This position assists in the operations of the medical imaging department under direct supervision with technologists and nurses in department. Incumbents work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Must navigate a variety of separate computer programs at any given time and handle multiple demands on time. Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. Completes pre-use check of equipment; troubleshoots and corrects failures. Cleans PFT lab equipment and prepares for use.

2. Performs daily “SUPPLY ROUNDS,” restocking ICU and departmental supply areas with disposable and non-disposable items as needed. Performs daily "DISCONTINUED EQUIPMENT ROOMS ROUNDS,” checking utility rooms on patient care floors for respiratory therapy equipment and removes per department policy in order to reduce unnecessary rentals. Performs daily “EQUIPMENT LOCATION ROUNDS,” checking the location of equipment that’s listed on the Workload List in order to reduce unnecessary rentals. Assists respiratory therapists with equipment needs throughout shift.

3. Works in conjunction with Clinical Engineering to ensure prompt adherence to preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and any other maintenance needs deemed appropriate by the Clinical Engineering or Respiratory Care Services departments. Obtains and maintains knowledge of all equipment used to provide respiratory care and supports maintenance schedules. Prepares broken or malfunctioning equipment for repair by Clinical Engineering or outside vendors. Includes proper labeling of device failure to include preliminary troubleshooting efforts and results. Reports efforts to the Technical Specialist. Assist with the annual capital equipment and supplies inventory. Performs other special projects as directed by department director and Technical Specialist.

4. Assists in the procurement and delivery of supplies from hospital warehouse and outside vendors using existing ordering systems. Obtains supplies for the department using external and internal vendors. Performs internal infection control duties in all areas where equipment is stored, prepared or used. Consistently maintains cleanliness of work and storage areas and areas where supplies are prepared for patient use. Ensures that equipment areas are clearly labeled for new or spare parts. Performs inventory of cylinder medical gases according to schedule set by director. Performs inventory of disposable and non-disposable patient care items, spare equipment parts, cleaning supplies, cleaning solutions and linens according to schedule set by director. POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and evaluating direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide an excellent patient experience.

Provides complete and accurate information necessary for billing related to the patient encounter in a timely fashion.

5. Maintains a clean, functional environment including cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage areas. Disinfects equipment and instruments using appropriate solutions following sterilization procedures. Follows manufacturer's recommendations and OSHA guidelines in handling of hazardous substances. Performs basic maintenance of equipment and coordinates needed maintenance for prompt repairs.

6. Orders supplies as directed, stocks patient care areas. Medication ordering and tasks related to all medications (e.g. expired medications/equipment and recalls).

7. Develops and maintains effective communication mechanism with all external and internal customers. Exemplifies service orientation and the team concept in all contacts.

he Surgical Progressive Care Department (PCU) at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix provides a solid cardiac foundation that creates an outstanding cardiac nurse who can leverage this experience to advance in areas such as the Intensive Care Units (ICU), Emergency Department (ED) and Operating Room (OR). PCU nurses are highly recruited for their critical thinking skills, which are developed through the acuity of patients we care for. POSITION SUMMARY

Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.

4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.

5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.

6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.

7. Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care. Actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes. Such activities may include participating in professional organizations.

8. In some roles, this position may supervise staff and work flow of the department.

9.Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts, such as employees of other health care institutions, community providers and agencies, concerning the health care of the patient. Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. POSITION SUMMARY
This position facilitates the operations of medical education and supports the activities required for accreditation, recruitment, and effective operation of the medical education program. This position is responsible for organizing and documenting all medical education activities for an assigned program(s). Provides administrative support to program leadership, faculty, residents and department committees as assigned.

4. Evaluates effectiveness of the care plan and communicates effectively to the other members of the healthcare team to provide optimal nutrition outcomes. Provides pertinent information in the medical records, patient plans of care and/or clinical pathways while meeting requirements of regulatory agencies (i.e. Joint Commission, CMS, State and Local Agencies).

5. Provides nutrition education to patients, families, staff and other health care team professionals through the development of effective teaching materials and in-service programs; Evaluates patient and or family response to education.

6. Provides leadership in area of practice, establishing proper patient care procedures and acts as liaison with nursing areas. Establishes and monitors policies and procedures in area of expertise and communicates areas of concern that impact patient care in this area. Assists with program marketing through the development of effective work relationships with internal and external customers to enhance the use of services provided by clinical program. Serves as mentor to new staff and interns where assigned.

7. Participates in and identifies continuous quality improvement activities in clinical areas to ensure optimal nutrition care outcomes are achieved; Participates in clinical nutrition Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. Provides additional coordination of projects and programs.

This position interacts with patients, families, health care providers and nutrition and dietary staff in support of providing high quality nutrition assessment, care planning, delivery and measurement of outcomes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess knowledge of nutrition and dietetics demonstrated through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or equivalent coursework. Must be a Registered Dietitian based on academic and professional requirements as defined by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Effective January 1, 2024, CDR requires a minimum of Master's degree to be eligible to take the registration examination. Must hold current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and be able to maintain ongoing registration while providing verification of registration annually. Maintains current licensure as required by State law.

Must possess a level of expertise typically achieved through three to five years clinical experience in a specialty area. Must be able to function independently and be effective at prioritizing assigned patient case load as well as the ability to lead and serve as a resource for issues.

To be classified as a Senior Registered Dietitian, at least 50% of dietitian's case load must be in the specialty area. Banner Ocotillo Medical Center is one of our newest facilities that is a four story, 240,000 square foot hospital. We have an in-house Intensivist coverage 5hr/ day and eICU will be utilized to ensure 24/7 coverage. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for scheduling surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized scheduling system. 2. Acquires authorization numbers, History and Physicals, results of laboratory tests and verifies that they are current. Orders previous medical records for the day of the procedure, when necessary.

3. Types and prints physician orders for multiple physicians and departments. Schedules and maintains physician block time, and block time releases.

4. Enters physician’s orders for lab, blood bank, medical imaging, and cardiology. Enters results of diagnostic tests, patient registration information and patient charges. Compiles data and prepares statistical reports for management.

5. Conducts charge management audits for assigned area. Reconciles charge packet information with the audit. Identifies missed or incorrect charges and corrects when appropriate.

6. Acts as a receptionist to assigned unit; answers phones, relays message. Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians, and families and answers questions about policies and procedures. Acts as a liaison among nursing units, physician and staff to relay patient data. Screens requests for patient information and refers to appropriate staff. Records and types minutes of staff meetings, when required. Prepares and distributes staff call roster each month.

7. Enters facility work orders and supply orders when required by assigned department. Requests repairs/maintenance for business machines in the department. Arranges for pickup and delivery of instruments and equipment and completes all necessary paperwork.

8. This position has responsibility for scheduling surgeries and procedures and maintaining a smooth workflow in the area. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, under stressful situations, set priorities and maintain highly confidential information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 2 years of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital central scheduling or physician office scheduling setting. Knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Schedule: This is a PRN role working 1 to 2 days a week to help with coverage for breast center scheduling. No weekends, no on-call, and closed holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position creates and maintains provider scheduling preferences, physician and practice location details, and physician appointment protocols. Scheduling protocols are the criteria used to align a physician's specialty to the patient's healthcare needs. This position maintains and creates new knowledge articles, which is the main reference documentation used by the Healthcare Scheduling Specialists to answer common questions from patients and to best navigate the patient scheduling software systems. This position will provide governance over the physician scheduling preferences in terms of definition and data structure. The role will liaise with the healthcare practice managers to ensure alignment with the physician's requirements and the Customer Experience Center's protocol guidelines.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Builds, maintains, and modifies centralized scheduling protocols and schedule template structure for supported physicians. Ensures all approved changes follow change management procedures. Maintains accurate documentation of all requests and processed changes via tracking log. Prioritizes and organizes own work. Uses discretion to modify work practices to achieve results or improve efficiency.

2. Works closely with clinical management to maintain continuity of scheduling and desired outcomes. Acts as liaison with contact center scheduling staff to ensure guideline principles meet business needs.

3. Creates and maintains knowledge articles focused around tips, FAQs and walk through guides for scheduling team.

4. Utilizes critical thinking and communication skills for day-to-day functions. Applies detailed instructions and procedures to resolve problems. Chooses best alternative from group of known possibilities. Inputs and maintains data in computer system for the department as well as maintains records and/or files for assigned areas in a timely and accurate degree.

5. Provides advanced administrative support for an executive or large/complex department or provides advanced/specialized business support. Demonstrates excellence in organization, communication, and human relations skills. Demonstrates strong understanding of office or area practices, procedures, and business terminology. Demonstrates speed and accuracy with word processing. Shows ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task workload in a fast-paced environment.

6. Provides customer service skills. Excellence in advanced administrative skills such as dictation, transcription, presentation development and meeting planning; or excellence in advanced business support skills such as data management, compilation and manipulation.

7. Prepares, collates, and distributes various reports in a timely and accurate manner. Demonstrates ability to complete or handle recurring department projects or one-time projects, as directed by supervisor. Prioritizes and organizes own work. Uses discretion to modify work practices to achieve results or improve efficiency. Receives high- level work direction, with after the fact review.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

Requires proficiency obtained with three plus years experience in medical procedure/testing or healthcare practice scheduling.

Must have understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, procedures, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification.

Requires strong knowledge of patient scheduling software and centralized scheduling process and procedures. Must have strong attention to detail, ability to provide rules-based decision making, critical thinking skills, and the ability to apply knowledge in department problem-solving situations. Requires collaboration and teamwork skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a customer-centric mindset.
Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills and the ability to work effectively with MS office software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Cerner electronic medical record system and appointment scheduling templates. Knowledge of MS Sharepoint and Adobe Acrobat PDF creation software. Familiarity with Salesforce Health Cloud or Service Cloud software. Experience conducting insurance verification and credential checks.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.

2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.

3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.

4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.

5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient’s response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.

6. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership. Interacts and participates in the education, role development, and orientation of facility personnel, patients, students, families and visitors. Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate.

Interacts with other health care providers in numerous settings in order to report and ask for or clarify information. Also works with clergy to provide spiritual support. Synthesizes and prioritizes data from multiple sources to provide support for the human response of the patient and family to changes in health status.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.

Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
