Per Diem Physical Therapist – Outpatient Albany Memorial practice NO WEEKENDS
If you are looking for a Per Diem position in outpatient Physical Therapy, this position located at our Albany Memorial campus could be your opportunity.Per diem needs are during M-F within business hours-as needed-partial days as well as full-days are welcome.Here at St. Peter's Health Partner's, we care for more people in more places.
What you will do:
As a Physical Therapist, you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient’s functional outcomes. Document treatments and patient progress according to professional, department policies and procedures. Functions as a part of the multidisciplinary team working with patients with a primary diagnosis of CVA, SCI, LE Amputation, Orthopedics, and Cardiopulmonary conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patient’s past medical history, disease/condition, impairments, disability and functional/developmental status
- Prioritize patient care needs
- Accurately assess patient’s rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations in a timely manner
- Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's corporate compliance standards
- All clinical and payer required documentation is concise, pertinent, legible and in accordance with organizational requirements
What you will need:
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s degree or Clinical Doctorate of physical therapy degree
- Current NYS Physical Therapy license and registration
- 1 year of Physical Therapy preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written
Pay Range: $43.73-$56.58 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment for that purpose. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned. Involved in the practice of radiation and general safety at all times. Performs the duties and responsibilities within the scope of a Computed Tomography Technologist - Level I and Level II, as defined within the job description.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Radiography certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography or Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
2. Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided:
MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians.
OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
PA: No state license is required
WV: Radiography License OR Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
3. Computed Tomography certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
4. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
5. Statecriminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Three (3) years of computed tomography technologist experience.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. They are not intended to be constructed as an all-inclusive list of all responsibilities and duties. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Prepares room, equipment, materials, as needed for patient exams, including sterile technique. Cleans and disinfects rooms and equipment following each patient exam, using current infection control policies.
2. Performs examinations per Physician’s orders and explains procedures to the patients. Documents any variations from protocol due to patient’s condition or other unknown cause and relays patient history and clinical data to Radiologist.
3. Observes patient and equipment and reports any unusual occurrences or changes. Transports and assists patients as needed.
4. Documents status of patient in reference to radiology/CT procedure on patient’s chart.
5. Documents variances repeats and other such occurrences to help maintain high quality health care and opportunity for quality improvement.
6. Maintains stock supplies, performs general office duties, responsible for proper film labeling and following prescribed techniques to assure acceptable quality and consistency.
7. Practices safe radiation exposure and protection as well as general safety for patient’s, visitors, and staff at all times.
8. Participates in the patient safety training and patient protection, including the needs and methods to report medical/healthcare errors and abuse.
9. Produces diagnostic quality images utilizing CT equipment and effectively judges CT images for proper technique to best demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
10. If applicable, performs diagnostic studies using mobile radiographic equipment in emergency or patient rooms as ordered by physician. Performs diagnostic studies in surgical suite with C-Arm and other equipment.
11. Provides care specific to the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
12. May perform IV insertion/blood draws.
13. Administer IV/Oral/Rectal contrast for CT imaging procedures per radiologist protocol/department manual and ordering physician/care provider order.
14. Utilize PACS to ensure exams are completed and available for the radiologist to read and for the referring physician/care provider review.
For facilities with specialty accreditation requirements:
1. Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.

The Computed Tomography Clinical Ladder is a system-wide clinical advancement program to enhance professional development, provide a reward system for quality clinical performance, promote quality imaging care, and improve job satisfaction for computed tomography technologists.
To apply for the next level, the computed tomography technologist must meet the requirements of their current level. They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.
Level 1
- No experience required.
- All computed tomography technologists with less than 12 months of experience enter at Level one.
Level 2
- Meets requirements for previous level.
- One year of experience.
- Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1.
Level 3
- Meets requirements for previous levels.
- One continuing education pathway.
- Three years of experience.
- Compliant in 3 leadership/supervisory skills.

Our Pharmacy Interns support pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and timely medication therapy to patients. Interns assist with medication preparation, dispensing, sterile and nonsterile compounding, inventory management, and the use of automated pharmacy technology. As interns progress in their schooling and gain more experience, they may assume more clinical pharmacy responsibilities under the supervision of a pharmacist, including antibiotic dosing and monitoring, anticoagulation dosing and monitoring, renal dose adjustments, answering drug related questions, and completing medication histories.
Position Purpose:
The Pharmacy Intern assists the pharmacist in assuring timely and accurate provision of medications to patients. Routine intern functions are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. These functions may include unit dose dispensing, intravenous admixing, inventory control, record keeping and billing, and the extensive use of equipment and automated technology. Based on ability, experience, and performance, the Pharmacy Intern may perform increasingly clinical activities of the pharmacy, under direct supervision of a pharmacist.

What you will do:
Assists the pharmacist in the technical and professional functions required in the preparation, dispensing, record keeping, counseling, and delivery of medications using proper aseptic technique, correct calculations, proper documentation, and appropriate use of clinical resources.
Prepares intravenous admixtures and other sterile products, including chemotherapy by using proper aseptic technique.
Compounds medications by using proper technique and calculations (ie. ointments, creams, oral liquids, enteral tube feeding preparations).
Assists the pharmacist in the filling of orders/prescriptions.
Prepares sterile products; properly labels medications and maintains records of packaging as required by department Policy and Procedures and state and federal law
Assists the pharmacist in providing drug information to patients and other health care professionals, advising on proper methods, usage, and cautions associated with medications.
Prepares and restocks drugs for automated dispensing cabinets.
Performs clinical duties under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including medication reconciliation, adverse drug event reviews, renal dosing, medication utilization reviews, patient rounds with physicians, presentations for education purposes, and other clinical duties as directed by preceptor.
Assists in the management of pharmacy inventory by providing information to pharmacy purchasing, removing expired contaminated or deteriorated stock when detected, helping maintain perpetual inventories, and processing non-formulary requests.

Major Responsibilities:
- Evaluates, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute, critical and chronic patients illness and diseases within an inpatient hospital setting.
- Obtains medical histories, conducts physical examinations and assesses and determines differential diagnosis. Prescribes medication, therapy and treatments accordingly.
- Interprets and evaluates patient data for the purpose of determining management and treatment of patients. Performs minor surgeries and routine procedures. Consults with physician as appropriate. - Adjusts patient care plan by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans. Counsels, instructs and educates patients on physical and mental health including: diet, preventive health measures, health behaviors, self-care skills, disease, treatment options, and normal growth and development.
- Provides care coordination, which includes managing a variety of ancillary services, pre-operative plans, discharge planning, provider referrals and medical devices such as insulin pumps, defibrillators, and pacemakers.
- Prescribes, recommends and regulates pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies across multiple care settings, including controlled medications that are warranted by patient's diagnosis or changing medical condition.
- Prepares, dictates and signs patient care plans and summaries of patient care. Maintains records according to established standards and guidelines.
- Provides clinical direction to nursing staff regarding the continued care of patients. Follows through with nursing staff to ensure patient receives recommended care.

The Registered Dietitian serves as a key member of the Trinity Health HEART Center team, directing the nutritional components of the HEART Center, Medical Weight Management Program, and Diabetes Education Program. Key Responsibilities
Clinical Nutrition Management
- Conduct comprehensive dietary assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Implement nutrition treatment interventions and evaluate patient progress toward established goals.
- Collaborate with physicians, managers, and interdisciplinary care team members to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes.

Position Summary / Career Interest:
Cardiac sonographers provide professional, safe and compassionate ultrasound imaging care to all patient populations. They are uniquely trained in the advanced understanding of ultrasound physics and instrumentation allowing them to optimize the ultrasound controls for the highest quality image acquisition. The sonographer is able to identify and evaluate the appropriate anatomical and physiological consequences consistent with different disease processes. They need to be able to adapt the routine protocol to a wide range of patients and disease-state variability, making each exam individual and unique. The sonographer manages the initiation of critical value notification to expedite optimal patient outcomes.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Obtains a patient history and perform a pre ultrasound procedure assessment. The sonographer must utilize their professional knowledge to verify that the exam ordered is consistent with the patient history, indication and/or diagnosis and assessment findings. In the presence of any inconsistencies they clarify the procedure with the ordering physician. They interact and communicate with patients; explaining the procedure, reassuring them and eliciting their cooperation as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patients while they are under their care. Interacts and communicates with patients, explaining the procedure, reassuring them and eliciting their cooperation as needed.
- Performs routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures including echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms including treadmill, Dobutamine echo and bicycle ergonometry.
- The sonographer must demonstrate an understanding of the imaging planes obtained during a TEE exam. Assists the physician in the accurate acquisition of images from the esophagus. At the KU location the sonographer completes appropriate TEE probe cleaning and disinfecting.
- Performs professional, clinical and technical competencies of assigned location, but not limited to assigned shifts and be readily available when scheduled to perform on-call echocardiographic services as assigned to provide emergent echocardiographic services under the direction of a cardiologist.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify and evaluate the appropriate anatomical and physiological consequences that would be consistent with disease processes. The sonographer needs to be able to adapt the routine protocol to accommodate a wide range of patients and disease-states, making each exam individual and unique. Any additional enhancements that would provide beneficial information are initiated with the sonographer unless otherwise noted by the ordering physician.
- Demonstrates both cognitive and psychomotor skill sets in the area of cardiovascular disease states. These skill sets are necessary to accurately and efficiently obtain the appropriate echocardiographic ultrasound images and hemodynamic information as appropriate.
- Organizes the acquired data in the appropriate sequence that will accurately represent the patient’s condition to the interpreting physician. In the presence of critical values, the sonographer must display competence in identifying, documenting and communicating this to the interpreting physician. Working closely with the interpreting physician in interpretive sessions, assisting in the evaluation of data and contributing relevant technical information.
- In accordance with the departmental QI program, the sonographer must provide quality, constructive feedback on peer-to-peer case study review as assigned; return QI studies to the technical director or their designee in a timely manner.
- Assists in maintaining efficient patient flow through the department, working as an active participant with the other members of the team.
- Responsible for completion of mandatory educational assignments as outlined by the departmental director.
- Participates in the education and training of sonographer students, residents, medical students and fellows, providing instruction in the area of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures.
- Assess the need for ultrasound enhancing agent (UEA) and bubble studies during echocardiography studies. Administer and properly document IVs, UEA, and bubble studies when performed.

Cardiac sonographers provide professional, safe and compassionate ultrasound imaging care to all patient populations. They are uniquely trained in the advanced understanding of ultrasound physics and instrumentation allowing them to optimize the ultrasound controls for the highest quality image acquisition. The sonographer is able to identify and evaluate the appropriate anatomical and physiological consequences consistent with different disease processes. They need to be able to adapt the routine protocol to a wide range of patients and disease-state variability, making each exam individual and unique. The sonographer manages the initiation of critical value notification to expedite optimal patient outcomes.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Obtains a patient history and perform a pre ultrasound procedure assessment. The sonographer must utilize their professional knowledge to verify that the exam ordered is consistent with the patient history, indication and/or diagnosis and assessment findings. In the presence of any inconsistencies they clarify the procedure with the ordering physician. They interact and communicate with patients; explaining the procedure, reassuring them and eliciting their cooperation as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patients while they are under their care. Interacts and communicates with patients, explaining the procedure, reassuring them and eliciting their cooperation as needed.
- Performs routine and complex cardiac ultrasound procedures including echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms including treadmill, Dobutamine echo and bicycle ergonometry.
- The sonographer must demonstrate an understanding of the imaging planes obtained during a TEE exam. Assists the physician in the accurate acquisition of images from the esophagus. At the KU location the sonographer completes appropriate TEE probe cleaning and disinfecting.
- Performs professional, clinical and technical competencies of assigned location, but not limited to assigned shifts and be readily available when scheduled to perform on-call echocardiographic services as assigned to provide emergent echocardiographic services under the direction of a cardiologist.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify and evaluate the appropriate anatomical and physiological consequences that would be consistent with disease processes. The sonographer needs to be able to adapt the routine protocol to accommodate a wide range of patients and disease-states, making each exam individual and unique. Any additional enhancements that would provide beneficial information are initiated with the sonographer unless otherwise noted by the ordering physician.
- Demonstrates both cognitive and psychomotor skill sets in the area of cardiovascular disease states. These skill sets are necessary to accurately and efficiently obtain the appropriate echocardiographic ultrasound images and hemodynamic information as appropriate.
- Organizes the acquired data in the appropriate sequence that will accurately represent the patient’s condition to the interpreting physician. In the presence of critical values, the sonographer must display competence in identifying, documenting and communicating this to the interpreting physician. Working closely with the interpreting physician in interpretive sessions, assisting in the evaluation of data and contributing relevant technical information.
- In accordance with the departmental QI program, the sonographer must provide quality, constructive feedback on peer-to-peer case study review as assigned; return QI studies to the technical director or their designee in a timely manner.
- Assists in maintaining efficient patient flow through the department, working as an active participant with the other members of the team.
- Responsible for completion of mandatory educational assignments as outlined by the departmental director.
- Participates in the education and training of sonographer students, residents, medical students and fellows, providing instruction in the area of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma and completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) approved Radiological Technology Program. Bachelor’s preferred.
- ARRT certification.
- Current licensure by the state of Maryland to practice radiation therapy.
- At least one year of experience as a therapist in a radiation oncology facility is preferred.
- Experience using linear accelerators with multi-leaf columnators, CT simulators, and HDR therapy is preferred.
