Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) with Homecare is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of Home Health adult and pediatric patients and their families in their home setting. The RN provides the best clinical practice in an environment of caring and healing while working autonomously in the home. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN delivers care in compliance with hospice/home health policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards. The RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current RN License in state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
- Current driver’s license, insured and reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within 4 years of their start date.

Note: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of April 27, 2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will follow the requirements in place at the time of hire.

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

Join a collaborative acute care rehabilitation team at Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health’s flagship Level I Trauma Center and regional referral hospital. Occupational therapists work alongside physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, nurses, and case management teams to provide comprehensive care for medically complex patients across trauma, neurology, oncology, cardiac, critical care, transplant, and surgical service lines. This fast-paced environment offers opportunities to support patients throughout their acute hospitalization, helping them maximize function, promote safe discharge planning, and improve quality of life through evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Job Description:
Evaluates, plans, directs and administers programs of Occupational Therapy in an inpatient acute level setting, upon referral by the physician. Plans and conducts OT programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their maximum level of independence. Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, volunteers and students.
Essential Functions
- Provides direct therapy services to patients admitted to a level of care where service provision is required 7 days a week, including holidays (acute care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility).
- Evaluates patients, selects and administers assessment techniques, synthesizes information to establish appropriate patient care plan to include necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, therapeutic groups and patient education as warranted by a holistic view of the patient's diagnosis, condition, age, and contextual needs of discharge disposition.
- Gathers and interprets appropriate data from the medical record, physician reports, patient, and/or family as evidenced by documentation.
- Communicates patient's evaluation and subsequent progress to physician, referral sources, and other clinical staff and coordinates patient's schedule, treatment programs, regarding discharge planning and recommends solutions to patient care problems.
- Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient/family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges.
Physical Requirements
Hearing (corrected) adequate for oral/aural communication. Vision (corrected) adequate for reading. Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills to perform job duties. Sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day. Job duties sometimes require climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, bending; on occasion, crouching, crawling and reaching overhead. Lifting of patients, equipment or supplies will be required up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Able to laterally transfer patients 100 pounds rarely. Must be able to demonstrate any appropriate exercise and activities to patients/caregivers. Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks are sometimes required due to possible exposure to hazardous chemicals or blood and body fluids. Work is in a fast-paced clinical environment. The work environment is primarily indoors but occasionally outdoors.

Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy required. applicable state license for OT required. BLS required per policy guidelines.

1. Responsible for reading physician’s orders, preparing medications, delivering medications, and ordering and delivering drug supplies for various patient‑care units.
2. Reads physician's orders and prepares medication for dispensing, including unique dosage forms for pediatric and geriatric patient populations.
3. Has an understanding of standard pharmaceutical/medical terms, abbreviations and symbols commonly used in the prescribing and dispensing of medications.
4. Interprets cart fill lists and uses this information to replenish patient's medications in medication carts and delivers contents to patient care areas according to schedule.
5. Accurately prepares and delivers controlled substances to patient units and maintains all necessary records.
6. Takes inventory and analyzes patient‑care area medication supplies, replacing outdated or deteriorated medications; replaces depleted inventory.
7. Assists in the preparation of sterile parenteral products under the supervision of a pharmacist.
8. Accurately prepares intravenous admixtures, including dilutions for pediatric patients, parenteral chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, other injectable preparations, and sterile irrigating solutions using aseptic technique.
9. Accurately enters information related to parenteral admixtures, parenteral chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, and other injectable products in Pharmacy IV and TPN Computer Systems.
10. Labels parenteral products appropriately.
11. Performs general operational functions of a pharmacy intern.
12. Performs arithmetic calculations for usual dosage determinations required in medication and solution preparation.
13. Performs initial check for pediatric doses for appropriateness based on weight and gestational age.
14. Performs in accordance with departmental standards established for speed and accuracy.
15. Prepares and labels prepackaged medications after determining usage patterns and prepackaging requirements. Also maintains records related to this.
16. Maintains inventory and supplies in assigned pharmacy service areas.
17. Answers telephone and channels calls to appropriate individual.
18. Ensures that the pharmacy service areas and drug storage areas in the institution are kept clean and orderly.
19. Participates in planning and implementing change and maintaining and improving productivity through attendance and participation in staff meetings, committees, task forces and projects.
20. Assists in the education of pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, new pharmacists, new pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.
21. Prepares, processes and reprocess patient’s prescriptions and adjudications
22. Follows up with third parties on rejected claims and coordinates efforts to fix the problem
23. Assist with medication management therapy and pharmaceutical adherence programs
24. Works and coordinates with unit floors in discharge patients’ prescription and costs.

8. Perform routine review of all patient treatment plans which includes a review of patient and dosimetric data as well as beam and machine parameters.
9. Participate in weekly department-wide chart rounds to ensure the fulfillment of the prescription and review any changes in dose, patient setup(s), and simulation.
10. Perform a weekly review of each patient’s record to ensure accuracy of calculations, appropriateness of charting data, and fulfillment of the physician’s written prescription.
11. Perform an end of treatment review of the patient’s entire record to affirm the fulfillment of the initial and/or revised prescription dose.

4. Provide clinical support which includes, but is not limited to, patient specific dose measurements, appropriate use of multi-leaf collimators (MLC’s), and special external beam treatment techniques (e.g., SRS, SBRT, IMRT, IGRT, TBI, and HDR brachytherapy).
5. Maintain those aspects of the Quality Management (QM) program that involve the use of the external beam radiotherapy equipment.
6. Participate in the development, implementation, supervision, and review of the policies and procedures that encompass radiation therapy equipment.
7. Verify that all external beam radiation therapy equipment meets the manufacturer’s specifications and establish baseline performance values for new or refurbished equipment or for equipment following major repair.
8. Perform routine review of all patient treatment plans which includes a review of patient and dosimetry data as well as beam and machine parameters.
9. Participate in weekly department-wide chart rounds to ensure the fulfillment of the prescription and review any changes in dose, patient setup(s), and simulation.
10. Perform a weekly review of each patient’s record to ensure accuracy of calculations, appropriateness of charting data, and fulfillment of the physician’s written prescription.
11. Perform an end of treatment review of the patient’s entire record to affirm the fulfillment of the initial and/or revised prescription dose.
12. Perform special medical physics consults as ordered by the radiation oncologist(s).

Essential Functions
- Performs respiratory care procedures in response to patient needs and physician orders within the Scope of Practice of the Respiratory Care Department.

Scope

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Medical Radiologic Technical Board of Examiners (MRTBE). This position ensures optimal care/treatment to all patient populations that are cared for in an operative setting.
The incumbent utilizes specialized training within specific surgical settings and possesses dynamic ability to adapt quickly and professionally, with minimal direction, in accordance with ALARA (“as low as (is) reasonably achievable”) guidelines.
Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares for surgical procedures by setting up the imaging cart (if applicable) in accordance with each OR procedure, check laterality, uploads all patient information, ensures equipment is functioning as expected, and communicates with OR team regarding special imaging needs. Plans for upcoming surgical case needs by being included in OR team planning and all communications regarding specific case needs.
2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions, fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
3. Performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols, as well as under the guidelines of the accrediting agency ARRT and any applicable state licensing agencies. Understands the principles of aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure.
4. Performs imaging exams with specialty equipment such as Hybrid OR, O-Arm, C-Arms, Mini C-Arms (peds, ortho), Flat plates for any other studies wanted (KUB’s, etc. for retained foreign bodies). Ensures Imaging C-Arm, fixed or mobile, are fully cleaned following each case and in accordance with infection prevention standards.
5. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
6. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Proactively communicates with the surgical team, if and when, there are equipment issues of any kind so that schedules may be swiftly modified and the impact to patients and the surgical team is minimized.
7. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to radiation safety policies and holds any person within the OR suite to the same radiation safety policies prior to ionizing radiation being emitted. Educates physicians, resident physicians and medical students on the importance of radiation safety and the importance of dosimetry while inside an active operative setting. Reports any identified radiation safety risks to the Radiation Safety Officer immediately.
8. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
9. Facilitates educational and onboarding support for new intra-operative technologists.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Requires national certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification is required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with two years of related experience.

- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.
- Assists the physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers medications, under physician/provider orders, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin. With limitations, initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy; administering selected fluids with pre-mixed medications.
- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, prescription refills, new appointment times and referrals to other facilities or services. Refers questions to registered nurses and physicians/providers per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Oversees day to day operations and workflow to maximize staff efficiency and effectiveness. Acts as an expert resource to staff and assists with/resolves complex customer service issues or concerns. Assists supervisor with developing and modifying staffing schedules to support business needs. Makes recommendations and changes to schedules as needs dictate.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Vanderbilt Clarksville Intensive Care Unit (ICU), is a 21 bed mixed medical/surgical adult ICU specialized in providing close monitoring and treatment for patients with a wide-range of diagnosis. We care for patients being treated for Cardiovascular conditions, Acute Respiratory Failure, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), Multisystem Organ System Failure, Sepsis, Drug Overdoses, Gastrointestinal Bleeds, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Hypertensive Crisis, Acute/Chronic Renal Failure, STEMI, cardiogenic shock and post heart catheterization.
Our staff is committed to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our environment is challenging, team oriented, patient and family centered. We work collaboratively to provide opportunities for nurses to grow in critical thinking, professionalism, and participate in ongoing education.
Our team consists of Intensivists, advanced practice nurses, critical care nurses, and respiratory therapists. Daily multidisciplinary rounds include the intensivist, advanced practice nurse, ICU nurse, case manager, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, infectious disease, and a nurse leader. SWAT team consists of intensivist, advance practice nurse and charge nurse available as bedside consult. ICU charge nurse responds to codes, and RRT’s. Each shift begins with a safety huddle to look back and forward 24 hours to review safety and quality concerns.

Position Summary
The Speech Pathologist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional position will allow you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in of speech pathology with all of your patients.
Responsibilities:
- You will provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations
- You will perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans
- You will perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscpic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing
- You will confer with physician and other health care professionals
Requirements:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit
- Current BLS Certification required
- Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred

Stepdown is a 21 bed hardwired telemetry unit that focuses on acutely ill but stable patients requiring closer monitoring. We care for patients with a variety of cardiac, vascular and medical diagnoses with specialized needs such as cardiac arrhythmias, bedside cardioversions, titrated medications, oxygenation management, withdrawal, sepsis, stroke, and post-operative care.
Our staff is dedicated to provide excellent care to our patients. Our environment is challenging, fast-paced, team oriented, and patient and family centered. Our staff is very engaged with problem-solving and identifying ways to improve patient care. They have a desire to continue learning, have strong communication skills, and collaborate with the team to provide excellent patient care.
Daily interdisciplinary rounds include the provider, registered nurse, case manager, and a nurse leader. Each shift begins with a safety huddle to look back and forward 24 hours to review safety and quality concerns.
Ratio 4:1
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
Orientation: We offer 8-12 week orientation based on nursing experience.
Professionalism: critical thinking, collaboration, multidisciplinary rounding, bedside shift report, shared governance, certifications.
Medical equipment: ECG hardwired, alaris, pca, epidural, Etc02, bladder scanner, bipap, high flow oxygen therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
Provides clinical consultation and support to Stepdown Unit staff, overseeing clinical quality efforts, including audits of protocols and surgical processes.
Collaborates with the Stepdown Unit Manager/Director to maintain quality care standards as required by departmental protocols and regulatory agencies.
Ensures availability and readiness of supplies, equipment, and stock; addresses equipment needs, failures, or inventory issues to minimize disruptions in patient care.
Supports the professional development of staff by identifying learning needs, collaborating with the preceptor team and clinical educator, and assisting with orientation and ongoing training.
Assists primary physicians in performing procedures, preparing equipment, reviewing patient history, and providing first-assist support during procedures.
Ensures complete, accurate, and timely post-procedure data documentation in alignment with Stepdown Unit and hospital protocols.
Supervises, trains and oversees departmental staff.
Schedules employees to ensure effective use of resources. Consults with Manager or Director on staffing issues.

This position facilitates services and provides clinical support within the department. Performs prescribed procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to organize and provide care appropriate to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assumes responsibility for direct patient care as necessary. Provides or facilitates patient care for patient populations and serves as a resource to staff for clinical support. Promotes interdisciplinary patient care planning and patient education.
2. Supports department needs and is the primary resource for equipment education and provides user (physician, nursing, other allied health staff, families) education on medical equipment within the department and specific EP program needs when applicable. Collaborates with various departments, outside vendors, and other departments to assure adequate resources and the proper coordination of safe, efficient patient care.
3. Serves as resource to patients, families, providers and staff in providing care by facilitating patient flow. Assists in the interpretation of department/facility/system policies within the clinical setting. Provides safe and cost-effective care while considering patient satisfaction and customer service.
4. Performs scheduled/preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and quality assurance on patient care equipment in a timely manner consistent with regulatory standards. Maintains communication with customers/team regarding the status of equipment repairs. Proactively solves technology issues when appropriate.
5. Supports change and assists in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of the process improvement and quality management activities of the department/system.
6. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to imaging practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Adheres to safety policies. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Performs prescribed procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.
7. Demonstrates the principles of aseptic and sterile techniques as well as universal precautions throughout the procedure. Disposes of sharps and trash, places used supplies into case cart for processing and prepares instruments for cleaning following each case.
8. Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department. Performs prescribed procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This job profile is utilized at facilities with a moderate acuity Cath Lab that performs complex coronary procedures.
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. Requires ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (RT) as required by state law. Licensure and/or certification(s) as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications for ACLS required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required where applicable.
Requires Post primary certification with minimum of 3 years’ Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), or equivalent experience OR 5 years Cath Lab EP or equivalent experience with 2 years in a moderate acuity/complex coronary environment. Must demonstrate effective communication skills and human relations skills. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

This job functions autonomously to deliver speech therapy treatment, either through referral or direct to consumer. Evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, assesses patients, and monitors progress toward treatment goals. Ensures patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience and quality of care metrics. Education
