- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
PEOPLE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Seeks guidance from others and collaborates with all members of the interprofessional care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data in a comprehensive manner.

SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Obtains applicable and relevant information prior to patient’s treatment sessions. Provides education of plan of care to patients, family members, or caregivers. Consistently evaluates the patient's comprehension, using therapeutic communication, which includes active listening and teaching, to establish a relationship with patients and families, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
- Implements treatment programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Communicates and records patient's response to treatment plan.
- Provides care for the physical needs of patients by executing various physical therapy concepts to maximize performance which includes positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors.
- Contributes towards improvement of department score for patient satisfaction, through peer-to-peer accountability to service standards.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitors patient’s progress and modifies treatment as allowed by the plan of care, recognizing complications/limitations associated with certain procedures. Collaborates and communicates with supervising therapist and other health care staff modifications to patient’s treatment process, progress, and discharge planning.
- Ensures all rehabilitation equipment has had QC performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use. Reports any malfunctions to management and regularly practices preventive maintenance procedures; calls for service if needed.
- Identifies opportunities for corrective action and process improvement providing recommendations, and contributes to meeting departmental and hospital targets for quality and safety.
FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Schedules patients efficiently to maximize utilization of time and equipment.
- Maintains accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures performed in a timely manner in the patient record. Enters charges for services provided as applicable.
- Acts as a good steward of resources by ensuring the best use of equipment and materials. Self-motivated to independently manage time effectively, minimizing incidental overtime, and prioritizing daily tasks, assisting coworkers as needed.
GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participates and contributes on various department projects and activities to include shared governance, staff development and expansion of services.
- Responds positively to change by accepting and using new practices. Offers innovative solutions through participation in performance improvement projects and shared governance activities.
- Seeks opportunities to identify self-development needs as a Physical Therapist Assistant and of leadership skills and take appropriate. Ensures own career discussions occur with appropriate management. Completes and updates the My Development Plan on an ongoing basis.

Position Summary
The Residency RN - Transition to Practice Program is an incredible opportunity for new graduate RNs or experienced RNs wishing to transition to hospital and/or new specialty areas. This program will support you in developing dynamic nursing practice with competence, autonomy, and connection to purpose.
Our Resident RNs receive a combination of classroom instruction and clinical hours with preceptors who are experts in their fields, advancing both their education and knowledge along with their material skills in providing quality patient care and services.
Responsibilities
- You will learn to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate, and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan of individuals, families, caregivers, and populations
- You will utilize the nursing process for nursing care and health teaching in the maintenance and the promotion of health or prevention of illness
- You will function interdependently when executing a medical regimen under the direction of a physician
- Collaborate towards facilitating improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP within 90 days of hire for as required by department
- TNCC, LNPC, PEARS within 1 year of hire as required by department

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $48.15 - $90.83 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. Stepdown is a 21 bed hardwired telemetry unit that focuses on acutely ill but stable patients requiring closer monitoring. We care for patients with a variety of cardiac, vascular and medical diagnoses with specialized needs such as cardiac arrhythmias, bedside cardioversions, titrated medications, oxygenation management, withdrawal, sepsis, stroke, and post-operative care.
Our staff is dedicated to provide excellent care to our patients. Our environment is challenging, fast-paced, team oriented, and patient and family centered. Our staff is very engaged with problem-solving and identifying ways to improve patient care. They have a desire to continue learning, have strong communication skills, and collaborate with the team to provide excellent patient care.
Daily interdisciplinary rounds include the provider, registered nurse, case manager, and a nurse leader. Each shift begins with a safety huddle to look back and forward 24 hours to review safety and quality concerns.

A Radiology Technologist Assistant performs wide range of patient-centered duties including assisting the technologist during diagnostic exams in general x-ray, CAT Scan, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine departments, as assigned or needed. As a “Radiology Aide” you will:
Assists all department technologists in diagnostic exams. This will include, but not limited to transporting, assisting patients to/from exam tables, and general positioning of patient for exam.
Assists all department technologists by explaining procedures, obtaining medical history, and setting up exams rooms, including stocking and cleaning and preparing for patients.
Assists in transporting Emergency Room and inpatients to and from exams rooms.

What You'll Do
As a Certified Hand Therapist, you will provide advanced occupational therapy services focused on restoring upper extremity function and maximizing patient outcomes.
Perform comprehensive hand and upper extremity evaluations
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Design and progress therapeutic exercise programs
Fabricate and modify custom orthoses and splints
Deliver post-surgical rehabilitation following tendon repairs, fractures, nerve procedures, and ligament reconstructions
Utilize advanced manual therapy and therapeutic interventions
Educate patients on injury management, home programs, and return-to-work strategies
Collaborate closely with hand surgeons, orthopedic providers, and rehabilitation colleagues
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Rehab Therapist Patient Documentation (Intermediate): Demonstrates proficiency in documentation practices. Documents in the appropriate templates and utilizes only approved abbreviations within patient documentation. Meets institutional standards for quality and timeliness of documentation. May complete accurate chart audits of co-workers in the same classification category
• Treatment Planning & Goal Setting (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in developing a plan of care that incorporates treatment interventions focused on meeting objective goals. Develops and documents patient focused short and long term goals that are functional and measurable. Identifies the need for and referral to other services, as needed. May serve as a mentor for other clinical staff to develop their skills in treatment planning. May consult with team members or implement new procedures.
• Rehabilitation Therapist Patient Evaluation (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in evaluating patients with physical deficits including impairments, developmental disabilities, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function by obtaining information pertinent to the assessment and administering and scoring standardized tests and objective measures of deficit areas. Selects appropriate measures and performs a functional assessment to document patient's status requiring skilled therapy. Interprets the results of the assessment and their significance to the patient, family, referring physician and other members of the health care team. Demonstrates experience in clinical evaluation skills and may serve as a mentor for other clinical staff to develop their skills in evaluation techniques. Contributes to the development of best practices for the organization. May consult with team members to implement new procedures.
• Treatment Implementation (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in providing treatment consistent with physician prescription and established plan of care. Able to modify treatment plan as needed to demonstrate provision of skilled therapy services including progression of treatment throughout course of care, and revision of treatment interventions of goals not met. Supervises and directs certified athletic trainers (PT only), physical therapist / occupational therapist assistants, technicians and volunteers and students. Selects and follows correct protocol for care, as established, and actively seek out, utilize and mentor/teach others on current evidence based treatment strategies. May consult with team members to offer suggestions for treatment strategies. May serve as a clinical content expert for practice area, initiates consultation with team members for advanced treatment of patients, develop forum for staff members to utilize clinical expertise.
• Physical/Occupational Therapist Patient Education (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery in communicating functional impact of assessment findings, treatment interventions, treatment planning diagnosis, and disease process. Able to adapt communication to needs/level of understanding of audience and share appropriate information/literature. May supervise, educate and train students from professional programs of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training and/or students and staff from other departments. Contributes in the development of patient education best practices for the organization.

Provides leadership in a specialized healthcare team and the patient to assure optimal cost-effective drug therapy. The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for leading efforts in the prevention and reporting of medication errors and adverse drug reactions according to policy and works to continuously improve process and practice in the institution to enhance safety of medication therapy..
Position Highlights
- The medical ICU and medicine stepdown Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to adult critically ill patients and patients requiring intermediate level care at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
- Clinical services provided include but are not limited to participating in interdisciplinary team rounds, code response, completion of pharmacy consults, support at transitions of care, patient education, antimicrobial stewardship, and monitoring of high-risk medication therapies.
- Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm with a weekend and holiday rotation.
Preferred Qualifications (not required to apply)
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency or other post-graduate training in critical care, internal medicine or similar.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency plus experience in critical care or other relevant clinical practice setting.
- Equivalent years of experience practicing in critical care or other relevant clinical practice setting.

Oversees pharmaceutical care, including retrieving and evaluating biomedical literature and designing medication therapy regimens
Uses effective patient education techniques to provide counseling to patients and caregivers, including information on medication therapy, adverse effects, compliance, appropriate use, handling, and medication administration

Position Summary:
Performs professional duties related to a variety of radiographic technical procedures and CT Scan procedures using ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis and therapy. Has the latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to complete the requested procedure within the scope of his/her license. Assists in mentoring student technologists in their clinical rotation of Trinity Health Grand Haven.
What you will do:
- Performs CT Scans of all types including head, body and extremity scans.
- Performs interventional CT Scans for biopsies or various drainage procedures.
- Positions the patient carefully and accurately to obtain the requested examination; adapts positioning due to variations such as trauma, patient age, patient body habitus, suspected or known pathology, etc. to produce diagnostic images according to developed protocols and accepted medical practice. Applies supportive and/or immobilization devices to obtain the requested examination as necessary.
- Selects the correct CT Scan factors (mA, kVp, slice width, helical vs. non-helical, etc.) to produce high quality images; adapts technical factors for unusual variations of the patient or other factors (pathology, etc.).
- Provides the appropriate radiation shielding and collimation to adhere to ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principles. Provides for the radiation safety of all persons in the area where radiation is employed.
- Performs office/clerical duties in the absence of clerical support staff.
- Places orders and charges in the Hospital Information computer as necessary.
- Gives pertinent preparatory instructions for the test.
- Obtains the patient’s name, date of birth, phone number and MPI number if known.
- Obtains pertinent clinical history that supports the procedure being ordered and consults the ordering physician or nurse when the information is inadequate.
- Obtains any required Laboratory values prior to the procedure.
- Secures all necessary supplies to maintain a prudent inventory level for patient care.

- Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology
- Current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, RT(R), without restriction, must be CT registered within one (1) year.

Our comprehensive services include systemic therapy, intravesical therapy, testosterone replacement, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) injections, and management of Foley catheters, suprapubic tubes (SPT), and percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN). POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. - Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.

LCH 11P Hematology/Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit: The 11th floor of Levine Children's Hospital is our pediatric hematology/oncology & bone marrow transplant unit. We service all pediatric patients, including young adults being cared for by our pediatric specialist. We have 16 hem/onc beds and 8 bone marrow transplant beds along with a MIBG suite. We are part of a fast paced and innovative program offering unique services including phase 1 trials and MIBG therapy. The staffing ratio for hem/onc is ideally 1:3/4 and for bone marrow transplant ideally 1:2.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
