Job Description:
Position Summary and Purpose
The therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients referred to the facility. This includes patient evaluation, development and implementation of an appropriate treatment plan, delivery of treatment services, and comprehensive discharge planning. The therapist functions as an effective team member and contributes to the development and achievement of department and organizational goals and objectives.
Essential Functions:
• Evaluates and implements competent therapy treatment and provides regular re-assessments for the purpose of treatment modification, to maximize patients’ potential for functional independence, all in accordance with acceptable practice guidelines and department policies and procedures
• Communicates patient status (e.g., evaluation results, treatment plan, and goals) by providing timely written or verbal communication to physicians and therapy customers (e.g., patients)
• Consistently establishes and maintains effective working relations with, patients and family members, internal customers, and external customers
• Demonstrates an understanding of the financial implications of treatment costs and resources on the department/facility by consistently working to provide cost effective treatment programming to served populations
• Ensures that patient charges and corresponding clinical documentation are in compliance with regulatory standards and department policies and procedures
• Oversees rehab technicians, therapy assistants, and students consistent with discipline practice acts and according to organization and department policies and procedures.
• Self-monitor workflow to ensure productivity, standards of practice, and regulatory requirements are consistently met and reviews work of staff/personnel accordingly.
• Actively participates in program development, performance improvement activities, and community events sponsored by the organization
• Responds to feedback/concerns in a professional manner that demonstrates effective listening skills, problem solving skills, and participatory management when situations
Other Functions:
• Assists with interviewing, selecting, and orienting new personnel
• Completes required documentation and maintains pertinent record of assigned patients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Serves as a role model for the department by demonstrating commitment to professional growth, department growth and competency
• Demonstrates the ability to be efficient and productive by organizing job duties and responsibilities
• Actively participates in departmental/programmatic meetings, constructively expressing concerns and ideas
• Escalate equipment, supply needs and gaps through appropriate pathways.
• Assumes additional leadership responsibilities as needed to support department goals.
• Maintains equipment and environment in a safe and orderly manner

G. Procedural Nurse Responsibilities

This position will focus on maternal mental health including pregnancy-related and post-partum depression and anxiety. Position Summary
The Central Service Technician works as a team member and is responsible for providing support to the total health care team at MultiCare Health System by cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment. This position is a team member requiring a cooperative manner, working under direct supervision. Work situations are basically routine in nature yet require a service-oriented individual, organization of time and equipment, independent decision making in the execution of daily routine duties, and prioritization of multiple tasks. Internal contacts occur on a daily basis and may include patient care providers and Materials Management staff. External contacts are limited but may include patients, vendors, rental companies/agencies, other health care facilities, and physicians.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program; military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW
- In lieu of formal training, candidates with a nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or a minimum of one (1) year of recent sterile processing experience preferred
- Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location
- Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

b. Perform medication reconciliation.
c. Review procedural sedation history.

3. Create patient specific premedication regiment in collaboration with procedure APP.
4. Obtain IV access and preprocedural lab work.

6. Work as co-sign to Intrathecal Chemotherapy administered by APP.

4th Floor Surgery Med Surg Unit is a 45-bed unit that specializes in the safe delivery of comprehensive preoperative and post-operative care as well as adult and geriatric medical care. Eclectic, variety of patients – adults all ages, lots of hip and knee surgery – physical therapy team works closely with RNs try to run floor with a charge nurse that doesn’t have patients – always available, answering questions.
Expectations We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
What You’ll Do:
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Atrium Health Union is a 182-bed hospital in Monroe, NC, providing comprehensive emergency services and specialty medical care. The campus offers a variety of medical services, including a day surgery center, cancer treatment center, long-term care facility, behavioral health center, specialty care clinics, a community wellness and outreach program, a women and children’s center, interventional heart program and physician practices. Over the past 15-plus years our hospital has been serving the Monroe area, and we have worked to add new services and more specialized physicians and programs to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.
