Staff Pharmacist Position:
Four 10-hour shifts per week (mixed shifts covering mornings/evenings and an occasional overnights), including every other weekend
Position Purpose: A staff pharmacist in a hospital setting prepares and dispenses medications, reviews patient charts, monitors therapy and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to optimize medication use and patient care.
What you will do:
- Medication Dispensing and Preparation:
Accurately preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications and other pharmaceutical supplies to fill prescriptions.
- Patient Care:
Reviewing patient charts, monitoring and adjusting medication therapy, and counseling patients on the correct use of medications and potential side effects.
- Collaboration:
Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to make informed medication decisions and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Pharmacy Management:
Contributing to the hospital's formulary (list of approved drugs), managing medication inventory, and overseeing support staff.
- Compliance and Safety:
Adhering to regulations, maintaining required aseptic procedures in sterile product preparation areas, and ensuring drug quality and safety.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree; PharmD is preferred.
* Previous experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting is preferred.
Licensure:
* Current Florida Pharmacy License

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Respiratory Therapist.
As a Respiratory Therapist at MercyOne, you will be responsible for providing basic and advanced respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, and procedures of respiratory care services. The registered respiratory therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of respiratory care. In addition, the registered respiratory therapist is expected to serve as a resource to physicians, colleagues, and customers and participate in orientation, in-service education, departmental quality assurance activities, and staff leadership roles within Respiratory Therapy Department.
- Consults with and assists physicians and nurses with respiratory care plan for patients and facilitates the implementation of physician orders.
- Assess patients and evaluates appropriateness and quality of respiratory care to identify each patient's needs and provide the appropriate care and communicates those needs with the patient's physician.
- Provides effective education to patients, students, co-workers, and other members of the healthcare team as appropriate. Including but not limited to; smoking cessation education, care and cleaning of device education, medication side effects and dosages education and respiratory therapies such as Incentive Spirometry, MDI/DPI usage, HHN usage, CPT/Vest therapy education.
- Performs both fundamental and advanced diagnostic procedures including oximetry measurement, capnography, arterial puncture, mechanical ventilation waveform analysis, and pulmonary function testing.
- Performs emergency and acute respiratory care procedures in accordance with evidence-based clinical practice guidelines, and departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Schedule:
- Full-time; 36 hours per week
- Shift; rotating shifts
- 12-hour shifts
General Requirements:
- Must be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire.
- Must be licensed as an RCP in the State of Iowa within one year of hire.
- Experience in another health care setting is desirable, with critical care experience preferred.
- Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
- Must be ACLS certified within one year of hire.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
Education:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high- quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. Where You Will Work:
Our oncology specialists at Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic - Milwaukee, 2900 W Oklahoma Ave in Milwaukee, WI, offer compassionate and expert care for all stages of cancer. They are dedicated to helping patients fight cancer with confidence by using the latest advancements in cancer treatments. Aurora St. Luke's Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic is Aurora's outpatient hub for malignant hematology and bone marrow transplant/cellular therapy in Wisconsin. This clinic is a high-volume oncology clinic with a focus on blood cancer and bone marrow transplant/cellular therapy. The team RN supports patients during their clinic visit and coordinates care via the Epic in basket.
We’re Looking For:
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience is preferred.
What You’ll Do:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.

You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to help participants maintain independence, safety, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide restorative, maintenance, and preventative therapy services.
- Evaluate home safety needs and coordinate home modifications and adaptive equipment.
- Train participants, caregivers, families, and staff on safe performance of daily living activities.

- Two (2) years of occupational therapy experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and prepare chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, supportive care, and infusion medications in accordance with oncology protocols, USP standards, and state/federal regulations.
Evaluate medication orders for appropriate dosing, treatment regimens, organ function, laboratory values, allergies, drug interactions, and protocol compliance.
Verify chemotherapy calculations based on patient-specific parameters including diagnosis, body surface area (BSA), weight, and laboratory results.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians involved in sterile compounding and medication preparation to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and optimize treatment plans.
Monitor for adverse drug reactions, toxicities, and therapy-related complications and communicate recommendations to the care team.
Provide drug information and education regarding oncology therapies, treatment protocols, supportive care medications, and infusion administration requirements.
Maintain compliance with USP <797>, USP <800>, hazardous drug handling standards, and controlled substance regulations.

Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
Active Pharmacist license in the State of Connecticut required.

Completion of a PGY1 and/or PGY2 Oncology Residency preferred.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).

- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Participates in patient centered initiatives, care management, performance and quality improvement activities.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Maintains working knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures involved in the operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic cardiac catheterization equipment. Works within required regulations for radiation safety and protection, involving all personnel and patients. Consistently utilizes Universal Protocol.
Maintains files and compiles records according to procedure as required for accurate and current departmental records and/or reports. Creating, maintaining and documenting, via electronic information systems, accurate records, files and logs for departmental records. Entering correct patient data, assigning appropriate charges for exams and recording/collecting data for Quality Assurance monitors. Percentage of error within acceptable standards. Ensuring complete, accurate and timely written communication of patient information. Provides coverage for 24-hour emergency call for Cardiac Cath Lab. Rotating on call responsibilities with other staff members. Responding in a timely fashion (within 25 minutes) to emergency calls. Facilitating activities between departments to ensure prompt patient care.
Administers patient care as mandated by licensure, certification or registration. Monitoring patient to insure physiologic stability throughout the procedure. Utilizing advanced knowledge to properly administer prescribed medications and treatments under the direct supervision of the physician. Performing and assisting in procedures using skilled techniques. Evaluating patient prior to procedures, checking for appropriate consent and patient ID reporting any alarming patient conditions, explaining the procedure to patient, answering and/or researching patient questions. Positioning patient properly and/or comfortably, attaching protective, diagnostic and/or monitoring devices properly. Assessing the patient's physical needs .Evaluating effectiveness of nursing intervention. Carrying out physician orders.

The Nurse Apprentice works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the clinical setting and participates appropriately in the patient care delivery process. Job Description:

This position involves daily reactive and targeted proactive medication regimen reviews for patients within the designated area(s) of responsibility or populations served. The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist position supports the delivery of pharmacy managed protocols, formulary processes and medication reconciliation activities while providing education to fellow pharmacists, nurses, and medical staff. - Develops, implements and evaluates patient care according to identified needs.
- Manages clients in crisis utilizing appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques.
- Writes appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age and clinical presentation. Writes appropriate discharge plans based on individual needs of client and follows through with termination process.
- Collaborates with appropriate guardians and community agencies to insure effective service delivery.
- Completes patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy. Provides accurate and consistent documentation of patient care/response in the medical record. Completes accurate and timely billing information.
- Designs, plans, implements effective patient education.
- Maintains open lines of communication, collaborates with healthcare team for patient outcome.
Works in patient care areas including hospital units, emergency room, individual offices and conference areas with exposure to potentially combative and hostile patients. Work requires frequent moving from one area to another, answering pages, and coordinating and communicating with other staff persons in various disciplines and agencies.

Major Responsibilities:
- Uses Respiratory therapy processes to support assessment of patient utilizing a variety of skills such as pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiograph, hemodynamic values, laboratory values, and correlates blood gases and electrolytes. Can identify and address the special needs of patient population specific to department services.
- Operates specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues. Assists physician with bedside or other procedures as applicable to facility.
- Provides medication treatments and therapies per physician order and/or patient driven respiratory protocols as prescribed.
- Cleans, maintains, and ensures proper functionality of equipment. Troubleshoots equipment as necessary and identifies the need for service and/or repair.
- Educates and instructs patients in purpose, technique, self-care, goal of therapy, and disease management.
- Facilitates clinical problem solving and collaborates with other departments to provide education on managing patients.
- Under physician direction, the respiratory therapist must be able to adapt and comply to policies and procedures for a variety of different service areas, perform tasks and/or special duties as required by assignment and maintain performance standards and organizational behaviors.
- Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills. Provides clear, concise, timely, and accurate patient handoff.
- Promotes a culture of safety by recognizing and applying proper safety measures to prevent patient harm. Reports patient safety events and near misses in a timely manner. Seeks to identify potential safety issues and assists in the implementation of corrective actions.
- Teaches, educates, and precepts new teammates, orientees, and students.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2023.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education Required:
Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
Experience Required:

- Proficient computer skills, use of e-mail and electronic medical record systems.

- Demonstrates time management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Must be able to lift 50 lb. object from knee to waist.
- Must be able to lift 50 lb. from floor to waist height occasionally.
- Must be able to lift 40 lb. at waist height and carry it across various distances.
- Must be able to lift 20 lb. from waist to overhead.
- Must be able to push/pull while utilizing 30# of force occasionally for long distances.
- Must demonstrate stand-pivot transfer from bed to chair.
- Must perform sliding transfer of 150 lbs. person on a sheet across 2 feet with a second person.
- Must utilize safe body mechanics at all times.
