- Participates in drug therapy management and documents the care provided in patients’ medical records. Participates in interdisciplinary reviews of patients’ progress, as well as communicates pertinent patient information to other health care providers when patients change care settings to ensure continuity of care.
- Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Contacts and confers with physicians and other practitioners to optimize drug therapy and advising of needed interventions.
- Assists patients in gaining access to medications (e.g., working with payers to resolve issues that may impede access to medication therapies) when applicable.
- Interprets and responds to clinical decision support and drug utilization review from internal and external systems on patients’ drug therapy.
- Provide individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including administration of immunizations where legal and authorized.
- Provides computer order entry, ensuring proper technique and accurate preparation of all pharmaceutical products.
- Supervises technicians as needed.
- Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration.
- Provides pharmacological information by answering requests of health care professionals.
- Counseling patients on drug therapies.
- Report all adverse drug reactions and drug related events to proper persons.
- Maintains all records need for the proper handling of 340b purchased medications and facilitates the most cost-effective means for the procurement of pharmaceuticals.
- Precepts Early Pharmacy Practice Experience (EPPE) rotation students, and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation students, and pharmacy residents consistent with academic credentials and clinical experience.
- Prepares presentations, publications and other information sharing activities for the health care community and general public.
- Participates in continuing education programs, meetings, training programs and related activities.

- Must have essential skills to implement motivational interviewing skills to assist the patient in taking an active part in their health care and promote healthy lifestyles.

Purpose: The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients by reviewing medication orders, preparing and dispensing medications, monitoring drug therapies, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The Staff Pharmacist ensures safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
What you will do:
Clinical Pharmacy Services
- Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.
- Monitor patient medication therapy and recommend adjustments based on clinical condition, laboratory values, and treatment goals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds when applicable.
- Provide drug information and therapeutic recommendations to physicians, nurses, patients, and caregivers.
- Assess adverse drug reactions and medication-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Medication Dispensing and Distribution
- Accurately prepare, compound, and dispense medications in accordance with federal, state, and hospital regulations.
- Verify medication doses, formulations, and routes of administration before dispensing.
- Oversee medication distribution systems, including automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose delivery systems.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of medications.
Medication Safety and Compliance
- Promote medication safety initiatives and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Report, investigate, and document medication errors and adverse drug events.
- Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state board of pharmacy, DEA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist with controlled substance management and recordkeeping.
Patient Education
- Counsel patients and families regarding medication therapies, potential side effects, and proper medication use.
- Provide discharge medication education and support transitions of care.
- Promote medication adherence and understanding of treatment plans.
Operational Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.
- Assist with departmental workflow and staffing needs.
- Participate in pharmacy committees, policy development, and departmental projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of pharmacy interventions and clinical activities.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Current Florida pharmacist license.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist and counsel same day clinic patients independently with hearing aid repairs, supplies, earmold pick up and accessory Bluetooth pairing.

The Nurse Clinician, under the general supervision of the Assistant Clinical Manger, and in collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Non-Invasive Cardiology Attending, and fellows evaluates patients referred for cardiac stress testing according to established guidelines. Nurse Clinician will review patients’ medical history and perform focused cardiovascular assessment prior to testing. Administers exercise and/or pharmacological stress tests in Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Non-Invasive, and MRI. Provides initial management of arrhythmia or adverse events that may occur during stress testing. Under the supervision of the cardiology fellow and Non-Invasive cardiologist attending, administers moderate sedation and monitors patients undergoing Transesophageal Echocardiogram with or without cardioversion. Monitors patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED) in MRI department. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates patients referred to for stress testing according to standard criteria and guidelines. Identifies indications and contraindications for stress testing. Safety concerns are communicated to Cardiology Attending or Fellow prior to proceeding.
Interviews patient referred for cardiac stress testing. Performs a focused cardiovascular assessment to detect evidence of any of the following conditions such as, but not limited to: Heart Murmur, Congestive Heart Failure, Cervical Bruit, Arrhythmias, Edema, Vascular Insufficiency.
Suggests appropriate stress testing protocol based on patient assessment.
Explains the stress test being performed to patients and obtains consent.
Performs baseline 12 lead ECG interpretation and compares resting ECG to stress ECG tracings. Identifies patterns or ischemia, infarct, and other common ECG abnormalities.
Recognizes life threatening arrhythmias and initiates therapy according to ACLS guidelines. Demonstrates effective interventions of complications when they occur and reports any concerning findings to cardiology team.
Documents nursing assessment and stress testing procedure information in patients’ medical records.
Understands and practices ALARA principles of radiation protection, including the use and exchange of personal dosimeters.
Administers moderate sedation to patients undergoing Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and monitors throughout the procedure into recovery.
Administers Definity and Agitated Saline for “Bubble Studies”, when indicated per Echocardiogram protocol.
Monitor patient with CIED’s and place them in MRI safe mode, by programming the device to non-inhibited or asynchronous settings. Patients are monitored during the procedure and then placed back to previous settings.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Advanced Cardiac Life support and Basic Life support certifications.
Advanced physical assessment skills and strong cardiac background. Able to obtain a comprehensive patient history and perform a focused physical assessment on patients referred for stress testing, to determine safety of administering a cardiac stress test.
Analytical ability to interpret 12 lead ECG, recognize cardiac arrhythmias and intervene appropriately.
Knowledgeable in administration of moderate sedation and monitoring patients during and post sedation after a Transesophageal ECHO with or without cardioversion.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and physicians.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimal three years’ related experience plus additional training preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical ability to assist in lifting and positioning patients, frequent walking, standing, pushing patients on stretchers and wheelchairs.
Exposure to low level radiation.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Nurse Clinician functions independently within the department’s policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to supervisor when clarification of departmental policies or procedures are required.

- Participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assists or performs intubation, manages artificial airway, and transport of patients requiring ventilatory support.
- Assembles, manipulates, and troubleshoots Respiratory Care equipment including mechanical ventilators, pulse oximeters, capnometers, aerosol generators, medical gas delivery systems, humidification systems, and mechanical percussors.
- Interprets diagnostic results for feasibility and reports results, to include blood or other body fluid analysis by blood gas analyzer and co-oximeter, pulmonary function screening, pulmonary mechanics studies, end-tidal C02, and pulse oximetry.
- Performs record keeping, billing and medical record documentation functions.
- Provides patient instruction in the use of Respiratory Care devices and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be credentialed as a certified or registered respiratory therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire.
- Must have an active license as a respiratory care practitioner in the State of Iowa upon hire.
- Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.

- Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information (i.e. chief complaint, allergies, medications).
- Performs laboratory procedures (i.e. strep test, wound culture, specimen collection, etc.) using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions / infection control guidelines.
- Assists the physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams, allergy scratch testing, EMG, cautery, colposcopy, etc.
- Administers medications, under physician/provider orders, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins, topical agents, and insulin. With limitations, initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy; administering selected fluids with pre-mixed medications.
- Provides basic patient education on the performance of tasks, skills, treatment and self-care. Refers questions to registered nurses and physicians/providers per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed.
- Communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team. Documents and communicates accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Performs advanced clinical tasks or skills such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, audiograms, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen, phlebotomy - butterfly, venous access, heel stick), EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, casting, complex wound care, etc., with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Organizes and prepares exam rooms, lab and work areas including: cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
- Completes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment using appropriate technique when cleaning, sterilizing and caring for instruments and other equipment.
- Participates in patient centered initiatives, care management, performance and quality improvement activities.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. The Nurse Clinician, under the general supervision of the Assistant Clinical Manger, and in collaboration with the Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Non-Invasive Cardiology Attending, and fellows evaluates patients referred for cardiac stress testing according to established guidelines. Nurse Clinician will review patients’ medical history and perform focused cardiovascular assessment prior to testing. Administers exercise and/or pharmacological stress tests in Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Non-Invasive, and MRI. Provides initial management of arrhythmia or adverse events that may occur during stress testing. Under the supervision of the cardiology fellow and Non-Invasive cardiologist attending, administers moderate sedation and monitors patients undergoing Transesophageal Echocardiogram with or without cardioversion. Monitors patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED) in MRI department. Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates patients referred to for stress testing according to standard criteria and guidelines. Identifies indications and contraindications for stress testing. Safety concerns are communicated to Cardiology Attending or Fellow prior to proceeding.
Interviews patient referred for cardiac stress testing. Performs a focused cardiovascular assessment to detect evidence of any of the following conditions such as, but not limited to: Heart Murmur, Congestive Heart Failure, Cervical Bruit, Arrhythmias, Edema, Vascular Insufficiency.
Suggests appropriate stress testing protocol based on patient assessment.
Explains the stress test being performed to patients and obtains consent.
Performs baseline 12 lead ECG interpretation and compares resting ECG to stress ECG tracings. Identifies patterns or ischemia, infarct, and other common ECG abnormalities.
Recognizes life threatening arrhythmias and initiates therapy according to ACLS guidelines. Demonstrates effective interventions of complications when they occur and reports any concerning findings to cardiology team.
Documents nursing assessment and stress testing procedure information in patients’ medical records.
Understands and practices ALARA principles of radiation protection, including the use and exchange of personal dosimeters.
Administers moderate sedation to patients undergoing Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and monitors throughout the procedure into recovery.
Administers Definity and Agitated Saline for “Bubble Studies”, when indicated per Echocardiogram protocol.
Monitor patient with CIED’s and place them in MRI safe mode, by programming the device to non-inhibited or asynchronous settings. Patients are monitored during the procedure and then placed back to previous settings.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Advanced Cardiac Life support and Basic Life support certifications.
Advanced physical assessment skills and strong cardiac background. Able to obtain a comprehensive patient history and perform a focused physical assessment on patients referred for stress testing, to determine safety of administering a cardiac stress test.
Analytical ability to interpret 12 lead ECG, recognize cardiac arrhythmias and intervene appropriately.
Knowledgeable in administration of moderate sedation and monitoring patients during and post sedation after a Transesophageal ECHO with or without cardioversion.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and physicians.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimal three years’ related experience plus additional training preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical ability to assist in lifting and positioning patients, frequent walking, standing, pushing patients on stretchers and wheelchairs.
Exposure to low level radiation.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Nurse Clinician functions independently within the department’s policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to supervisor when clarification of departmental policies or procedures are required.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for the PACE passengers during transport, providing care in a manner which ensures participant satisfaction
Follow assigned schedule, make adjustments to meet unanticipated changes, while considering the needs of the participant and requirements of the PACE center, as well as communicating these changes to the department leader
Operate equipment safely and in compliance with the vehicle licensing regulations
Transport participants to and from medical/specialist appointments and activity outings as requested by the interdisciplinary team via the plan of care
Transport meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other items as deemed necessary for the participants
Provide physical assistance to each participant when needed as he or she boards and debarks from the programs vehicles
Maintain the vehicle in a neat and clean condition, ensuring vehicle equipment is maintained and operating within the manufacturer's recommendations; replacing supplies as needed.
Minimum qualifications
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge obtained through high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred
Valid driver's license in good standing required. CDL license with passenger endorsement required to operate company vehicles that exceed 15-passengers
