Performs a full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to provide optimum information for the diagnosis and/or treatment of patients.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
2. Must possess current or temporary Nuclear Medicine license as required by state board where services will be provided:
MD:Â Nuclear Medicine Technologist through Maryland Board of Physicians
OH:Â Nuclear Medicine Technologist through Ohio Department of Health
PA:Â No state license required
VA:Â Radiological Technologist license through the Virginia Board of Medicine
WV: Nuclear MedicineTechnologistLicense OR Nuclear Medicine Apprentice License throughtheWest Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board 
NOTE: If performing CT imagingin addition to Nuclear Medicine,mustadditionally hold one of the following licenses through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board: 
Radiological Technologist 
Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT License  
Nuclear Medicine and Non-Diagnostic CT License 
3. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within six months of hire. Â
4. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
5. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

1. Attends and participates in departmental meetings and activities to support progress improvement and team building.
2. Participates in planning and implementing change, maintaining and improving high quality, cost effective department operations.
3. Performs a full range of nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging and/or treatment procedures to provide optimum information for the diagnosis and ultimate treatment of patients.
4. Plans and performs imaging procedures to produce medical images for the diagnosis or treatment of patients meeting the quality standards of the department as identified through professional literature and department protocol, policy and procedure.
5. Minimizes radiation exposure to patients and staff in accordance with Radiation Safety Department policy, procedure and guidelines as well as State, Federal, The Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory bodies.
6. Reports equipment failures immediately upon identification using identified communication mechanism to ensure the performance of radiology services.
7. Assesses patients’ needs related to comfort, hygiene and range of motion and provides support accordingly.
8. Performs as a clinical and/or didactic instructor meeting the quality standards of the radiology education program(s) as identified through professional literature, department and radiology education program(s) protocol, policy and procedure.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The Nuclear Medicine Clinical Ladder is a system-wide clinical advancement program to enhance professional development, provide a reward system for quality clinical performance, promote quality imaging care, and improve job satisfaction for respiratory therapists.
To apply for the next level, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist must meet the requirements of their current level. They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.
Level 1
- No experience required.
- All Nuclear Medicine Technologists with less than 12 months of experience enter at Level one.
Level 2
- Meets requirements for previous level.
- One year of experience.
- Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1, plus 1 additional skill set.
Level 3
- Meets requirements for previous levels.
- One continuing education pathway.
- Three years of experience. Â
- Compliant in 3 leadership/supervisory skills.
- Complete competency of Skill Set Tech 1 and 2, plus 3 additional skill sets.
Level 4
- Meets requirements for previous levels.
- One continuing education pathway.
- Five years of experience. Â
- Compliant in 5 leadership/supervisory skills.

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification required
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire

Your Job Responsibilities:
• Performs respiratory therapeutics to include oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.  Â
• Performs and reports prescribed cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures to include arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and electrocardiograms.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation to include a bedside respiratory physical assessment, patient interview and a review of patient’s medical record.
• Perform appropriate actions using critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to interpret the CXR, ABG, and PFT’s when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots all cardiopulmonary equipment such as artificial airways, ventilators, oxygen analyzers, oxygen delivery devices and blood gas analyzers.
• Participates in tasks related to infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Performs required cleaning and maintenance of all cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Utilizes appropriate customer scripting as evidenced by observation and improved patient satisfaction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Delivers expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families.

G. Procedural Nurse Responsibilities

a. Assess safety and tolerability of procedural sedation.
b. Perform medication reconciliation.
c. Review procedural sedation history.
d. Provide pre procedural instructions, providing the patient with opportunity to ask clinical questions without requiring separate call back.
3. Create patient specific premedication regiment in collaboration with procedure APP.
4. Obtain IV access and preprocedural lab work.
5. Administered preprocedural procedural medications, titrating according to specific patient needs. Also administer chemotherapy and performs procedures safely and efficiently in accordance with Institute policy. May administer blood transfusions.
6. Work as co-sign to Intrathecal Chemotherapy administered by APP.
7. Assists in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient`s physical condition.
8. Maintains awareness of procedural suite activities and works with the Procedure Suite team to maximize workflow.
9. Keeps abreast of changing techniques in procedural nursing and maintains a high level of expertise in critical care.
10. Responsible for intraprocedural monitoring of patients not limited to maintain active airway, assesses effective circulation and respiration via capnography and telemetry monitoring.
11. Safely recover patients post sedation, perform discharge teaching, and evaluate safety of patient discharge.
12. Coordinate correct research specimen collection with research coordinators.
13. Maintain Joint commission readiness.
14. Provide as needed support for biopsy specimen collection when not acting in a procedural sedation role.

This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Pharmacy Department including drug distribution processes, automated dispensing systems, IV systems and processes, quality improvement, performance improvement, staffing and scheduling, technology solutions, human resource development, training, billing and overall management of the department.Responsibilities also include the enforcement of performance standards, developing efficient staffing patterns, participating in interviewing candidates for open positions, training new employees, conducting annual performance appraisals and approving vacation time, personal time, etc.
This position assumes a leadership role in formulating policy and instituting practice models that promote medication safety and pharmaceutical care in all aspects of the medication management process.
Responsibilities include assisting the Director of Pharmacy with all aspects of medication management and clinical services, distributive functions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accrediting body requirements (JCAHO, DPH, FDA, etc.).

- As a member of a Director’s management team, this position is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of strategies and goals for the division.Â
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills of delegation, organization, and coordination in managing the daily operations of departments within the incumbent’s area responsibility.
- Develops, recommends, monitors and manages operating budgets to optimize financial performance.
- Develops and utilizes performance metrics to continually improve quality and operating efficiency.

Clinical Leadership Responsibilities:
- Conceptualizes, designs, demonstrates, documents in formulating policy and instituting practice models that promote medication safety in all aspects of the medication management process.
- Provides leadership and direction to the pharmacist staff in such a way that all professional activities performed are consistent with hospital, and departmental mission, objectives, and policies.Â
- Develops, implements, and evaluates treatment guidelines that address cost-effective and appropriate drug therapy.Â
- Coordinates the development of criteria for safe and effective medication use as well as monitor the compliance with established criteria and other quality improvement programs such as the Medication Use Committee of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P & T).Â
- Implements clinical trending reports and other quality assurance activities as indicated to ensure appropriate and safe drug utilization; Organizes, design, and conduct drug utilization evaluations.

Overview
The Freed-Pastor laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an exceptionally motivated and experienced PhD-level scientist (Scientist II) to join Cancer Grand Challenges - Team ILLUMINE to investigate the Cancer Dark Proteome and drive the development of innovative cellular therapies for pancreatic cancer. This position is primarily a hands-on bench role focused on rigorous data generation and direct experimental execution. In addition to bench work, the ideal candidate will take ownership of essential laboratory operations and coordinate efforts across this multi-institutional team. The successful candidate will be integral to a multidisciplinary team focused on the discovery, preclinical evaluation, and advancement towards clinical trials of novel immunotherapies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
- Works on problems of moderate to large scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.

SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Medical Director and Department Administrator, according to established procedures, prepares, conducts electroencephalographic examinations, collects information, and prepares impressions of findings to assist physician in evaluating and diagnosing cerebral conditions by recording the brain 's electrical activity. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interviews patient to obtain pertinent medical history, to explain and instruct patient regarding procedure and to allay anxiety and elicit cooperation. Abstracts additional relevant information from patient 's chart or medical record.
Ensures that electrodes are properly sterilized, applies electrodes on predetermined measured positions on patient 's head and checks electrode performance. Uses appropriate precautionary measures to prevent infections when using needle electrodes. Uses judgment in placement of electrodes in deviating from standard practice in order to obtain best results.
Calibrates intravenous and oxygen apparatus on patients requiring such therapy and reports any malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Selects predetermined electrode combinations as well as special combinations appropriate to the specific case. Obtains and continuously scans recordings, recognizes artifacts and takes appropriate action to eliminate them. Uses activating procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation to induce and record brain reaction.
Makes notation on record of all actions taken during procedure and records clinical manifestations observed during test such as patient 's degree of alertness versus drowsiness.
Reviews and analyzes tracings. Prepares impressions of findings indicating technical changes that are focal, lateralized, paraxynol or artifactual.
Provides training and guidance to other technologist. Interviews, recommends hiring, evaluates and when necessary, disciplines or recommends discharge of subordinate technical and clerical personnel. Prepares monthly statistics of number and types of tests, inpatients, outpatients, locations where work performed, etc.
Provides in-service instruction to other non-EEG clinical personnel through lectures and seminars on topics regarding new procedures and techniques to staff members and other personnel.
May assume total responsibility when EEG tests are performed in radiology or operating room. May monitor brain activity of patients under anesthesia and communicates patient information to surgeon during procedure. Supports EEG monitoring when assigned to special procedures lab or operating room, to include brain mapping, intraoperative EEG recording, special electrode intrarecording and WADA studies.
Performs premature baby testing at Rhode Island Hospital and /or Woman and Infants Hospital. Provides patient perpetration, including measuring of head and placement of electrodes. Observes three physiological parameters in addition to multi-channel EEG recordings: eye movements, respiration, and cardiac activity. Records clinical changes to explain EEG findings.
May conduct closed-circuit video recordings, requiring knowledge of electronic capabilities of equipment.
Conducts EEG monitoring on patients with specialized electrodes. Adheres to proper sterilization procedures in placing needle electrodes on patients. Provides stimulus where visual / auditory reactions are induced.
Maintains equipment in clean, operating condition; detects instrumental malfunction; makes minor repairs and adjustments and reports the need for major repairs.
Performs quality assurance activities according to department procedures and program.
May provide long-term monitoring of pediatric and adult patients with epilepsy and N.S. condition.
Maintains and enhances technical expertise by participating in appropriate educational activities including attending conferences and meetings and reading relevant journals.
Provides on-call services, nights weekends and holidays as scheduled.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Successful completion of post-high school program in a one or two year accredited program in EEG technology.
Eligibility to sit for written examination for formal registration by the American Board of Registration in Electroencephalographic Technology within three years of placement in position (1,000 EEG examinations are required).
Knowledge of EEG techniques, concepts and equipment. Ability to apply knowledge to clinical settings and expand upon it through experience. Knowledge of pathological disorders directly affecting brain and other medical conditions indirectly causing brain dysfunction.
Ability to measure and place electrodes accurately and manipulate controls on EEG machines.
Ability and capacity for sustained attention to detect minor differences or abnormalities while scanning a moving graph of constantly changing data for period of up to two hours.
Analytical ability and communication skills necessary to formulate and write concise technical impressions of EEG findings.
Interpersonal skills to explain procedures, allay anxiety and gain cooperation of very ill patients.
Leadership skills to effectively direct and evaluate work of technical and clerical personnel assigned to department.

EXPERIENCE:
At least two years experience performing full range of EEG procedures, including demonstrated leadership skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Normal patient care environment, with some exposure to infectious disease or unpleasant patient care activities. Some exposure to volatile substances such as acetone, ether and alcohol. Hazards are minimized by adherence to established safety and infection control guidelines.
