Renders Physical Therapy evaluations and treatment procedures and techniques appropriate to the needs of individual patient. Assesses, treats, and cares for patients of all ages.Job Duties:
- Performs Physical Therapy evaluations according to departmental policy and the needs of the individual patient.
- Establishes appropriate measurable goals in patient treatment and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
- Administers an appropriate and effective physical therapy treatment program.
- Performs discharge planning responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
- Performs all documentation responsibilities pertinent to patient care legibly and in compliance with departmental policy.

Join our Pediatric Therapy team at Children's Village! Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of a diverse group of dedicated professionals providing comprehensive therapy services to children with developmental delays and disabilities. Our team enjoys the following aspects of working at Children's Village:
- Serve children ages 3-18 through evidence-based services.
- Provide in-person services in clinic, and community-based settings, allowing families to receive support where children naturally learn and grow.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, early childhood educators, nurses, and behavioral therapists to support positive developmental outcomes.

Children's Village is a neurodevelopmental center providing more than 30 specialty services to children with special healthcare needs. Position Summary
The Speech Pathologist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional position will allow you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in of speech pathology with all of your patients.
Responsibilities
- You will provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations
- You will perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans
- You will perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscpic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing
- You will confer with physician and other health care professionals
Requirements
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit
- Current BLS Certification required
- Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

This is a limited-term position with an anticipated duration of approximately six months.Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures and provides assessment, treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to provide input to and implement the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis and physician orders in a timely manner. Other: Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) (may be evidenced by RCP/RRT/CRT license)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
2 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Capable of performing routine or emergency respiratory care as well as a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.

POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates patients, establishes treatment goals/outcomes, and implements patient care plans. Observes precautions, indications, and contraindications for all treatment procedures. Provides Art Therapy supervision to undergraduate and graduate students. Communicates routinely with Senior Art Therapist?LMHC II to monitor student progress and compliance with individualized curriculums and clinical requirements.
Therapist must demonstrate competency in therapeutic process, as determined, by the clinical specialist, supervisor, or manager.
Participates in mandatory departmental, hospital-wide in-services, as well as obtain CEU's through external conferences to meet the standards and regulations of the AATA and NBCC credentialing boards.
Provides education and training to patients, patient caregivers, and families to effectively maintain levels of progress achieved in therapy program. Educates other health care professionals to the role of art therapy/mental health counseling, as well as providing training and in-services in areas of expertise.
Reviews and reassesses program materials, practices, activities, and clinical requirements making recommendations to the Senior Art Therapist/LMHC II or to the Rehabilitation Clinical Supervisor for modifications. Maintains and orders program materials and supplies.
Oversees hospital art gallery selecting artwork from various programs to be displayed in approved spaces on a monthly basis.

Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from a graduate school accredited by the American Art Therapy Association.

EXPERIENCE:

POSITION SUMMARY
This position works to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the assigned department, including day-to-day administration of non-physician staff and operations. Uses specialized knowledge, judgment and skills necessary to provide excellent patient care.

7. Covers front and/or back office functions. May also administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures or as directed, and consistent with demonstrated competencies and state scope of practice.
8. This position has a strong understanding of the daily workflow of the practice and functions autonomously to provide guidance to ensure quality patient experiences and efficient practice operations. This position is required to have working knowledge of referral and authorization processes and must have the ability to navigate a variety of separate computer programs at any given time and handle multiple demands on time. Internal customers include all patients, staff and clinic providers. External customers include the community, vendors and non-clinic providers and facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a level of literacy, communication and math skills as normally demonstrated at the level of an Associate’s Degree.
Certain assignments may require current certification as a Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant or current LPN license.
Requires a level of knowledge and ability normally demonstrated by at least two years experience in a physician's office or medical environment. Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

Licensure and/or certification(s) as required by state regulatory agency, if applicable. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications for ACLS required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required where applicable.
Requires Post primary certification with minimum of 3 years’ Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), or equivalent experience OR 5 years Cath Lab EP or equivalent experience with 2 years in a moderate acuity/complex coronary environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited university and licensure in the State of Michigan. Certification with the NBCOT preferred.
Licensure: State of Michigan Licensure in good standing.

Must be able to make written evaluation reports, periodic progress, and discharge notes and participates in oral reporting at team meetings.
Designs, fabricates, and fits adaptive equipment such as: slings, splints, wheelchairs, utensil holders, etc. for patients.
Must be able to direct activities and/or supervise SOTR and COTA students, assistants, volunteers.
Must be able to participate in educational training programs of nursing students, volunteers, etc.
Must be able to establish home programs when necessary; demonstrates and instructs patients and family in its execution.
Must be able to keep accurate and orderly permanent records on patient treatment.
Must have knowledge in requisition of supplies and equipment.
Computer knowledge necessary for effective utilization of hospital systems.

Physical Demands:
Physically capable of performing the duties of an occupational therapist including walking, standing, sitting or bending, as required to accomplish the principal duties in a safe, reliable manner.

The CV Invasive Specialist I performs duties necessary for cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional level requiring some proctoring and supervision of technical detail. The Specialist I performs a variety of technical procedures that require some independent judgment. The CV Invasive Specialist I assumes responsibility and initiative for designated areas and procedures as required. Follows Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals (ACVP) Scope of Practice or for Electrophysiology the NASPE Standards of Professional Practice for the Allied Professional in Pacing and Electrophysiology.

- 36 hours per week; 4x 9-hour shifts
- Share on call obligations on nights, weekends, and holidays (requires 30-minute response time)
- Regular Lab hours are 7:00am-4:30pm Monday- Friday
- Call hours 4:30pm-7:00am with 24-hour coverage Saturday, Sunday and holidays

As a CV Invasive Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:
Essential Functions
- Participate in procedure room preparation and post procedure turn around.
- Develop specific knowledge with regard to invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies which includes assisting in inventory control. Develops specific knowledge of applications, proper use and deployment techniques including documenting hemodynamic recordings, calculations, and interpretations.
- Provide patient education and emotional support for patients and their family members; ensure patient comfort. Foster teamwork and cohesiveness with team members and physicians.
- Develop knowledge specific to cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic anomalies, and treatment options. Assess the condition of the patient, document, and inform physician of deviations from normal criteria throughout the procedure.
- Understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and safety. Understand and demonstrate the correct operation of imaging equipment.
- May mix and administer medications under the direction and supervision of the physician (RCIS or RCES is required to pass medications). Pursuant to state laws.
- At the end of the procedure, may apply closure device, suture the sheath in place, or remove the sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis.
- Provide thorough and accurate documentation of each procedure and associated events.
- Develop skills in operating, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Perform point of care testing and QA.
- Accountabilities: Scrub, circulate, and monitor in diagnostic, interventional, and CRM procedures according to scope of practice documents. Complete procedure data entry; acquire and process imaging studies, hemodynamic assessment and calculations, intra-procedure CathPCI registry requirements, and prepare procedural reports.

Minimum Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- PALS certification for children's hospitals or ACLS certification for adults. New employees must obtain within 3 months of start.
- Bachelor's degree in health science with six months of health care experience (e.g., Cath Lab, EP, EMT, Paramedic, CNA, Surgical tech) - or –
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program
- or –
- Graduate of a diploma or associate program in health science with one year of health care experience (e.g., Cath Lab, EP, EMT, Paramedic, Surgical tech, RN/LPN) - or –
- Graduate of a non-programmatically accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology which has a minimum of one year of specialty training and includes a minimum of 800 clinical hours. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
- Intermediate computer skills.

- Surgical Tech/Assistant Certification per state requirements
- Rad Tech state license per state requirements (Montana)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of CV Invasive Training experience.
- Fluoroscopy Operator Certification per state requirements (Colorado) within 3 months of hire.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
