This position is responsible for providing managerial and programmatic direction for the operation of Pharmacy Services. Develops, budgets, standards of work performance and plans, directs, and monitors and evaluates the provision of distributive and clinical pharmacy services. Promotes and demonstrates effective inter-disciplinary and inter-facility collaboration and serves as facilitator for education, consultation, and research. Responsible for leading and overseeing the operational activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services. Ensures the functions of the department are consistent with the policies and procedures. May supervise activities that provide for the purchasing, receiving, storage, delivery, and distribution of medications and related supplies. Assures adequate departmental staffing according to workload while maintaining expected productivity levels. Supports implementation of clinical plans and helps to maintain information systems within the pharmacy. Develops standards of work performance, orientation and training programs. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served while maintaining the ideals of service excellence. Must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements and provide pharmaceutical care based on those needs. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for all routine operations of Pharmacy Services. Participates in the recruitment, selection, orientation, professional development and evaluation of employees. Serves as a change agent, role model, and serves as facilitator for education, consultation, and research. Accurately and completely documents patient assessment data and clinical interventions
2. This position is accountable for an effective departmental operation within the budgetary constraints through the monitoring and controlling of expenses and through promotion of rational, cost-effective utilization of medication therapy.
3. Assists with development of goals, objectives, and programs for the pharmacy department consistent with those of the organization’s overall strategic plan. Demonstrates effective inter-disciplinary and inter-facility collaboration. Plans efficient and effective utilization of resources. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency standards. Implements decisions of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and other hospital committees in relation to formulary management and process improvements. Assumes accountability for special projects as assigned.
4. Defines and resolves issues with the medication distribution system. Continually evaluates performance relative to need for improvement of processes to assure the safe and appropriate delivery of medications to all patient care areas. Provides leadership for development and implementation of innovative systems.
5. Provides leadership and direction to the pharmacy staff. Promotes positive relations and actively contributes to a supportive work environment. Fosters a team environment within the department and across the system. Communicates with their direct supervisor regarding personnel issues.
6. Helps to establish and revise, when necessary, standards of care for pharmacy practice. Monitors and ensures compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, Federal and State laws, and regulatory agency standards. Investigates and initiates the resolution of customer complaints. Plans, supports, and leads Quality Improvement efforts for pharmacy services. Provides pharmacy representation and leadership on hospital and medical staff committees.
7. Serves as a professional resource in facilitating inter-disciplinary practice and communication.
8. This position participates in all aspects of medication use, including (1) selection, procurement and storage, (2) ordering or prescribing, (3) dispensing, (4) administering and (5) monitoring of all medications utilized. Internal customers may include Patients, Nurses, Licensed Independent Practitioners, Nursing Directors, Department Directors, Administrators and other health care team members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care and ensuring effective communication systems. External customers may include local, state, and national pharmacy organizations, Joint Commission, State Board of Pharmacy, colleagues and peers, educational institutions and pharmaceutical representatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Requires current pharmacy licensure in the state of practice within 90 days of hire.
Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.
Pharmacy licensure. Banner Registry and Travel positions require licensure in the state of practice within 90 days from the date of hire.
Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts. Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers.
Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, Microsoft applications and Automated dispensing system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree, Hospital Residency, or Master of Business Administration (MBA), or experience in hospital pharmacy with supervisory experience preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.

About our program:
The Banner Health New Nurse Experience Program is a full-time Registered Nurse position that assists you in transitioning from a new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse at Banner Health. This program provides a collaborative learning environment in which you can refine your nursing skills, enhance your knowledge, and develop new personal and professional relationships.
Successful candidates will be placed in specific units at Banner Health facilities to be clinically mentored by unit staff and educators. We offer all our new grads multiple Career Pathways and development opportunities to achieve your long-term career goals. Whether you are wanting to go into a specialty unit, leadership roles, non-bedside nursing opportunities, or any other sector of nursing - we will help you get there!
The expectation is that you will stay on your NNE unit for at least 12 months to get a full and comprehensive training experience! New grads will also need to live within a reasonable commute distance of the facility they are hired into. Most new nurses will work three 12-hour shifts, which will include weekend and holiday rotations with other staff members.

Benefits/Compensation:
This is a full time, benefitted, and paid position. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential, when applicable. Unit Overview
As a Medical Intensive Care Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to care for patients with a wide variety of conditions. You will have the ability to learn advanced skills that include: EVD therapy, Advanced Stroke Care, Roto-Prone therapy and Continuous Renal Replacement therapy, among many others. Our dedicated Registered Nurses are actively involved in department shared leadership and facility wide committees. Our Registered Nurses also have the opportunity to participate and receive support for completion of the Critical Care certification. Take the next step of your Nursing journey and join our amazing MICU, where our nurses deliver professional and compassionate care.
This is a full-time position working three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM including rotating weekends and holidays. You will also have the opportunity to utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
2. Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input. Initiates a plan of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data and the medical plan of care. Goals for patient are realistic, measurable and developed in conjunction with the patient/family. Considers the physical, cultural, psychosocial, spiritual, age specific and educational needs of the patient in the plan of are. Plans care in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team. Reviews and revises the plan of care to reflect changing patient needs based on evaluation of the patient’s status.
3. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team. Provides care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care, in compliance with policies and procedures, standards of care, and regulatory agency requirements. Delegates appropriately, and provides nursing supervision in the provision of care to patients by other licensed nurses and other personnel. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for whom care is provided.
4. Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed. Evaluates patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members. Evaluates patient's response and the effectiveness of patient teaching.
5. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely and in accordance with policy. Documentation reflects objective/subjective data, nursing interventions and patient's response to treatment. Notes physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.

As a Medical Intensive Care Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to care for patients with a wide variety of conditions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Doctorate in Pharmacy degree and at minimum completion of a PGY1 residency program. Without residency training a minimum of 3 years of health-system progressive clinical pharmacy experience (evaluating disease state & medication management e.g. thromboembolic, diabetes, oncology, pharmacokinetics, pain management & nutrition, investigational studies, etc).
Additional minimum qualifications include board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (e.g. BCPS, BCOP). Board certification must be active and maintained.
For pharmacists providing care in Investigational Drug Services, the ASHP Investigational Drug Service Certificate will be allowed. Candidates who are not Board Certified will be given 24 months to achieve certification.

Neuroscience ICU is an 18-bed critical care unit with primary focus being on the neurosurgery and neurology patient populations. Cell Processing
1. Process minimally manipulated clinical human therapeutic cellular products by various methods using manual
and/or automated aseptic technique in a regulated clean room environment according to standard operating
procedures and applicable regulations.

· centrifugation/washing,
· handling of genetically modified cells,

Minimum Job Qualifications:

The RN Clinical Coordinator serves as the clinical leader for the practice, combining direct patient care with the day-to-day coordination of clinical operations. This position utilizes professional nursing judgment to assess, triage, educate, and coordinate patient care while supporting providers and ensuring efficient clinical workflows.
The RN Clinical Coordinator provides clinical oversight of nursing and medical assistant staff and assists the Clinic/Practice Manager with staffing, competency development, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives. This position also serves as a clinical resource for providers and staff.
The RN functions within the scope of professional licensure while promoting exceptional patient outcomes, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the ambulatory/clinic setting.
- Assess patients, utilize professional nursing judgment, and triage patient needs appropriately.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate clinical information effectively with providers, patients, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, procedures, and other healthcare needs.
- Assist with the efficient flow of patients throughout the clinic.
- Obtain and document patient information, including vital signs, medications, medical history, and other pertinent clinical data.
- Manage patient callbacks and prescription refill requests within the scope of professional nursing licensure and practice guidelines.
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and other treatments as ordered and within the scope of licensure and training.
- Perform clinical procedures appropriate to the RN’s scope of practice and level of training, including phlebotomy, EKGs, PFTs, spirometry, nebulizer treatments, ear irrigations, and other in-office procedures.
- Perform and/or oversee in-office laboratory testing as directed by the provider.
- Prepare in advance for provider clinics by reviewing schedules and patient records to ensure necessary documentation, testing, and information are available.
- Assist providers with procedures and minor surgeries as needed.
- Ensure appropriate sterilization and handling of instruments used for minor procedures and surgeries.
- Monitor clinical supplies and assist with maintaining adequate inventory.
- Provide clinical oversight, guidance, and support to nursing and medical assistant staff.
- Assist the Clinic/Practice Manager with staffing needs, staff development, competency evaluations, and performance management.
- Assist with the development and implementation of clinical competencies, policies, and procedures.
- Support regulatory and accreditation requirements and promote compliance with applicable standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes, safety, and clinical workflows.
- Collaborate with referral sources and other healthcare providers to promote effective coordination of patient care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and support for providers and clinical staff.
- Promote a positive, patient-centered environment and exceptional patient experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky required.
- Minimum of 3 years of RN clinical experience in an ambulatory or physician practice setting.
