About the job:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Technician - Environmental
Services creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the
Facility
What you'll do:
- Exhibits each of the Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards holding self and others accountable and role modeling excellence for all to see. For example: demonstrates friendliness and courtesy, effective communication creates a professional environment and provides first class service.
- Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
- Move furniture for repair or cleaning and set up meeting rooms.
- Assist in cleaning of emergency spills/floods that are observed or requested
- Proactively communicates with all staff members in an accurate & timely manner
- All other duties as assigned.
What we're looking for:
- Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred.
- Ability to clearly and respectfully communicate with patients, visitors, and all colleagues and be able to verbalize approved scripting with all the above.
- Reading, basic math and writing skills required.
- Knowledge of the correct use of chemicals, dilution of chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment. When applicable, must also know proper use and procedures to operate the steam sterilizer, grinding/shredding system, waste compactor, recycling compactor and cardboard balers

Where You Will Work:
West Allis Medical Center is a level 4 Trauma, Primary Stroke, Geriatric Certified Emergency Department that averages around 42,000 visits per year. Staff provide care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing the following: acute trauma with injury, acute illnesses, and exacerbations of chronic health care conditions, women's health issues, and behavioral health concerns. Partner with a highly skilled team of Emergency Nursing staff who value strong relationships as part of a collaborative team to positively impact patient care.
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- One year RN experience preferred or candidates with prior emergency medical services health care experience.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Summary:
The Patient Financial Services Representative (PFSR) serves as the first point of contact in greeting patients and guarantors in the hospital, ambulatory or medical office setting. The PFSR engages with the patient or guarantor to obtain pertinent information and answer any questions in an effort to ensure that all required demographic, financial, and insurance eligibility information is gathered and verified. Ensures all required notices and consent forms are signed accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Explains polices including all regulatory and financial consent forms; secures all required signatures.Verifies insurance benefits including obtaining insurance card(s) and confirms coverage is active. Determines correct insurance filing order, if multiple insurance coverages are effective for that service.Obtains pre-certification and authorization.Provides exceptional customer service and ensures all questions and concerns are addressed in a timely and courteous manner. Summary:
Under the general direction of the Chief Therapist, the Radiation Therapist I contributes to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit, to the quality of patient care and supports the institutional philosophy. The Radiation Therapist I is technically competent at the entry level and interacts with other areas of the department. It is expected that the Radiation Therapist I will meet all initial performance competency standards for this position within one year. The Radiation Therapist I applies ionizing radiation to the patient, as instructed and prescribed by the physician according to departmental standards, state guidelines, and Memorial Healthcare System’s policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Serves as resource/educator to radiation therapy students and/or new hires by role modeling professional behaviors, instructing, assessing, and evaluating. Stocks and stores appropriate supplies in technical areas. Informs Chief Therapists when supplies are needed. Performs other duties as assigned.Manages patient scheduling in a technical area including simulations, field verifications, daily treatments, and cone-downs to avoid delays and or interruptions.Performs CT-Sim procedures and documents accurately. Executes simulations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Prepares room and equipment properly for each simulation and monitors patient.Manages patient documentation in Aria for team communication, charge capture and billing reconciliation. Prepares the treatment record information for setup and treatment. Accurately performs weekly chart checks and QA audits at end of treatment through Encounters in Aria EMR. Accurately captures and reviews charges for treatment and simulation procedures.Collaborates with Physicians, Physicists, Dosimetrist, Chief Radiation Therapist in simulation or clinical setup process. Presents set up questions and solutions while utilizing Crew Resource Management Principles and Practices. Observes all established radiation safety measures (ALARA).Performs appropriate quality control warm-up procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions to chain of command.Participates in scheduled rotations in all department equipment, serves as on call therapist, and as needed, rotates between both Radiation Oncology departments.Prepares room and equipment properly for each treatment. Performs imaging (CBCT, KV, MV, Active Motion Management) as ordered, to position patient. Analyzes results, identifies issues and takes appropriate action including repositioning patient and repeating procedure to deliver therapy according to treatment plan. Summary:
The Referrals and Authorizations Coordinator secures prior authorizations and primary care referrals for both professional and hospital technical services across inpatient and outpatient care, including surgeries, procedures, and specialist visits. This role facilitates timely access to care, minimizes treatment delays, and supports accurate reimbursement through payer compliance.
Responsibilities:
Verifies accuracy of referring provider to ensure data integrity and accuracy.Serves as liaison between providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve authorization and/or referral-related issues.Ensures timely follow-up on pending authorizations to prevent treatment delays.Collaborates with clinical and scheduling teams regarding authorization status to support treatment planning and scheduling.Understands and applies payer-specific guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements for both practice and hospital billing.Obtains and documents prior authorizations and referrals for all required services.Processes incoming and outgoing referrals from providers, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are in place.Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits for patients, including coverage for specialty medications and services.

The Peer Review Specialist provides leadership and coordination for the provider peer review processes across the facilities and service areas within Mount Carmel Health System and affiliate joint venture businesses as assigned.
Responsibilities

- Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
- Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.

- Steward human and financial resources in a responsible manner.
- Facilitates the provider peer review process including case identification through internal reporting data, registries, or the incident reporting system based on defined indicator criteria. Writes case summaries for cases that meet the peer review indicator list and sends them to physician reviewers for further evaluation.
- Leads provider peer review committee meetings in partnership with the committee chair ensuring timely and effective case discussion and resolution.
- Onboards new peer review committee members and department chairs, providing education on peer review responsibilities and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) requirements.
- Tracks and analyzes peer review trends, escalating system-level concerns as appropriate.
- Drafts provider communications based on peer review needs.
- Maintains provider files with all peer review-related documentation and communications.
- Partners with the legal team to ensure peer review processes and documentation meet compliance and risk standards. Prepares and presents executive-level summaries and reports related to peer review findings and provider performance.
- Reviews peer review committee charters and policies and facilitates updates with approval from the Medical Executive Committee when needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements relevant to peer review and OPPE.
- Collaborates with department chairs to complete OPPE documentation in alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Attends Joint Commission or other regulatory meetings related to medical staff review of OPPE.
- Maintains confidentiality of all peer review and OPPE-related communications, documentation, or processes in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Audits peer review and OPPE processes to ensure adherence to established protocols while identifying potential gaps.
- Communicates identified system-level issues arising during the peer review process to the appropriate team for follow-up and resolution.
- Travel to various sites as required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required. Masters in Nursing preferred.
- License / Certification: Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years recent hospital practice. Clinical and management experience preferred.

- Current knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements
- Proficient computer skills
- Able to prepare and present executive level summaries and presentations
