Summary:
Provides care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities:
Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Summary:
Under the general direction of the Chief Therapist, the Radiation Therapist contributes to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit, to the quality of patient care and supports the institutional philosophy. The Radiation Therapist is technically competent at the entry level and interacts with other areas of the department. Applies ionizing radiation to the patient, as instructed and prescribed by the physician according to departmental standards, state guidelines, and Memorial Healthcare System’s policy and procedures. As designated, acts as a Charge Therapist and coordinates technical activities and acts as the point person in the absence of the Chief Therapist.
Responsibilities:
Manages patient documentation in Aria for team communication, charge capture and billing reconciliation. Prepares the treatment record information for setup and treatment. Accurately performs weekly chart checks and QA audits at end of treatment through Encounters in Aria EMR. Accurately captures and reviews charges for treatment and simulation procedures.Reviews physician's orders and radiation therapy treatment plan. Educates patient regarding procedures to ensure patient's understanding. Assists patient and family with any problems or concerns and to refers to proper resource personnel. Identifies and reports potential liabilities and risks management to Chief Therapist.Prepares room and equipment properly for each treatment. Performs imaging (CBCT, KV, MV, respiratory gating) as ordered, to position patient. Analyzes results, identifies issues and takes appropriate action including repositioning patient and repeating procedure to deliver therapy according to treatment plan. Performs special procedure treatments (HDR, TBI, SRS, SBRT) and completes treatment documentation.Participates in scheduled rotations in all department equipment, serves as emergency on call therapist, and as needed, rotates between both Radiation Oncology departments. Maintains flexibility and assumes all other additional responsibilities as assigned.Performs CT-Sim procedures and documents accurately. Executes simulations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Prepares room and equipment properly for each simulation and monitors patient. Performs special procedures (4D CT Respiratory Gating, HDR, TBI, SRS, SBRT, Oral and IV Contrast, Urethrogram) and monitors patient for adverse reactions and quickly seeks assistance of a nurse or physician. Completes treatment documentation.Manages patient scheduling in a technical area including simulations, field verifications, daily treatments, and cone-downs to avoid delays and or interruptions.Serves as resource to radiation therapy students by role modeling professional behaviors, instructing, assessing, and evaluating. Stocks and stores appropriate supplies in technical areas. Informs Chief Therapists when supplies are needed. Completes monthly department data logs as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.Performs appropriate quality control warm-up procedures on equipment. Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian II works independently. This role is responsible for identification of patients at nutritional risk, planning and implementation of medical nutrition therapy for assigned population, determination of nutrition diagnosis, development and implementation of evidence-based nutrition care plans, monitoring and evaluating the patient’s progress, and communicating with the interdisciplinary care team. Summary:
Under the general direction of the Chief Therapist, the Radiation Therapist I contributes to the organizational plan of the Radiation Oncology Unit, to the quality of patient care and supports the institutional philosophy. The Radiation Therapist I is technically competent at the entry level and interacts with other areas of the department. Responsibilities:
Prepares room and equipment properly for each treatment. Performs imaging (CBCT, KV, MV, Active Motion Management) as ordered, to position patient. Analyzes results, identifies issues and takes appropriate action including repositioning patient and repeating procedure to deliver therapy according to treatment plan. Assists special procedure treatments (e.g., HDR, TBI) and completes treatment documentation.Participates in scheduled rotations in all department equipment, serves as on call therapist, and as needed, rotates between both Radiation Oncology departments.Performs appropriate quality control warm-up procedures on equipment. Prepares the treatment record information for setup and treatment. Accurately performs weekly chart checks and QA audits at end of treatment through Encounters in Aria EMR. Accurately captures and reviews charges for treatment and simulation procedures.Performs CT-Sim procedures and documents accurately. Executes simulations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Prepares room and equipment properly for each simulation and monitors patient.Manages patient scheduling in a technical area including simulations, field verifications, daily treatments, and cone-downs to avoid delays and or interruptions.Serves as resource/educator to radiation therapy students and/or new hires by role modeling professional behaviors, instructing, assessing, and evaluating. The Radiation Therapist II contributes to the Radiation Oncology Unit’s operational goals and quality of patient care while supporting organizational standards. This role demonstrates advanced technical proficiency, provides guidance to Radiation Therapist I staff, and collaborates across the department. The Therapist II serves as a senior resource, coordinating technical activities during emergencies or unusual situations in the absence of the Chief Therapist.
Responsibilities:
Manages patient scheduling in a technical area including simulations, field verifications, daily treatments, and cone-downs to avoid delays or interruptions.Prepares room and equipment for each treatment. Performs imaging (CBCT, KV, MV, Motion Management) as ordered, to position patient. Analyzes results, identifies issues and takes appropriate action including repositioning patient and repeating procedure to deliver therapy according to treatment plan. Performs special procedure treatments (HDR, TBI, SRS, SBRT) and completes treatment documentation. Stocks and stores supplies in technical areas. Advises when supplies are needed.Collaborates with Physicians, Physicists, Dosimetrist, and Chief Radiation Therapist in simulation or clinical setup process. Presents set up questions and solutions while utilizing Crew Resource Management Principles and Practices. Observes established radiation safety measures (ALARA).Performs and documents CT-Sim procedures. Executes simulations in accordance with department policies and procedures. Prepares room and equipment for each simulation and monitors patient. Performs complex special procedures (4D CT Respiratory Gating, HDR, TBI, SRS, SBRT, Oral and IV Contrast, Urethrogram) and monitors patient for adverse reactions; seeks assistance of a nurse or physician.Participates in scheduled rotations in all department equipment. Serves as emergency on call therapist, rotates between both Radiation Oncology departments. Maintains flexibility and assumes all other additional responsibilities as assigned.May serve as a Preceptor for Radiation Therapist I staff, with completion of a preceptor course within six months of attaining Radiation Therapist II status. Serves as a primary resource for students and new hires by modeling professional behavior and providing instruction, assessment, and evaluation. Assists staff with complex, high-risk, low-frequency procedures and treatments.Reviews physician's orders and radiation therapy treatment plan. Educates patient regarding procedures to ensure patient's understanding. Assists patient and family with problems or concerns and refers to proper resource personnel. Identifies and reports potential liabilities and risks management.Manages patient documentation in Aria for team communication, charge capture and billing reconciliation. Prepares the treatment record information for setup and treatment. Performs weekly chart checks and QA audits at end of treatment through Encounters in Aria EMR. Captures and reviews charges for treatment and simulation procedures.May serve as a Charge Radiation Therapist, communicating instructions from radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists to appropriate staff and ensuring they are carried out. Collaborates directly with medical physics and acts as a liaison with other healthcare professionals. Identifies and promptly reports equipment malfunctions.Administers prescribed ionizing radiation in accordance with physician instructions, departmental standards, state regulations, and Memorial Healthcare System policies.Performs appropriate quality control warm-up procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions. Maintains and completes monthly department data logs.

Summary:
Performs an integral role with the care team for coordination of complex chemotherapy and cancer treatment scheduling. Manages all aspects of scheduling of multi-day and multi-week treatment cycle schedules for high acuity patients. Responsible for scheduling treatment including infusion treatments, transfusion, labs, surgery, and radiation treatment for oncology patients. Demonstrates and conveys a cheerful and favorable disposition during stressful patient care delivery for a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Schedules and coordinates complex chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatment plans and cycles including intervening labs, imaging, and MD visits as per specific treatment schedule. Ensures scheduling is accurate and timely and without delay in care. Facilitates frequent changes for all associated appointments due to patient acuity. Facilitates inpatient transitions and discharges for chemo infusions and radiation in coordination with the treatment plan schedule. Utilizes complex algorithms, scheduling guidelines and medication lists for chemotherapy, non-chemotherapy medications and/or transfusions.Performs other duties as assigned and as required.Coordinates care with physician, advanced practitioners (APPs), nurses and fellows to confirm and review treatment regimens and overall plan of care. Coordinates with Pharmacy on drug availability.Reviews in-basket message pools and collaborates with providers and clinical team (infusion nursing and radiation therapists) to ensure timely scheduling upon office visit and/or hospital discharge. Communicates with treatment unit leadership to maximize clinic flow.Identifies symptoms and refers patients to appropriate APP for symptom management, when needed.Coordinates with Infusion Clinical Nurse Manager or Radiation Oncology care team for same day add-ons for sick or urgent patients and for transitions from inpatient or transplant. Alerts the authorization team.Contacts patient to coordinate appointment scheduling. Communicates with Preservice/Authorization department to ensure prior authorization of treatment is obtained. Handles pre-registration prior to date of visit to ensure prior authorization for treatment.Coordinates the scheduling of surgeries and related procedures. Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs. Communicates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff.

Measures and marks patient head using International 10-20 measurement system. Apply electrodes. Perform EEG study on Natus XLTEK machine.

Demonstrate proficiency in monitoring EEG studies in both the ICU and EMU settings following ACNS Guidelines using pattern recognition and EEG terminology to alert and describe to reading Epileptologist at appropriate times.
Reviews patient's history and educates patient about procedure. Monitors and documents patient's condition and responds to and reports any seizure symptoms.
Perform a variety of video EEG recordings (Routine / LTM / EMU) showing proficiency in all areas, including the International 10-20 system, and performing the EEG test according to ACNS Guidelines.

The position is responsible to work with all applicable payer partners for varying arrangements spanning across Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Commercial, QHP and Medicaid, and will leverage data and reports to maximize clinical condition documentation (CCD), and will become familiar with risk adjustment methodologies as applicable (HCC/RAF, HHS, MARA, Johns Hopkins, etc.) The Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist will provide insights and direct contributions to the development of analytics and reporting to enhance providers' ability to document and code to the highest level of specificity and improve coding and recapture rates as is clinically appropriate. The role will maintain strict confidentiality of all data and information. The Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to ensure effective, results-oriented project outcomes.
General Requirements:
