Radiation Oncology Physicians at MultiCare Cancer Institute deliver comprehensive radiotherapy services for treatment of cancer and benign conditions using advanced modalities such as IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, and HDR brachytherapy, along with oversight and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals.
The department operates within a multidisciplinary framework, with active collaboration across medical and surgical oncology, radiology, pathology, and supportive care. Physicians are responsible for upholding clinical excellence, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to a culture of safety, teamwork, and patient-centered care.Responsibilities • Conducts clinical evaluations through clinical exams, imaging, and pathology to determine suitability for radiation therapy. • Design precise, individualized radiation regimens using advanced planning software and imaging technologies. • Work closely with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive cancer care. • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging. • Explain treatment options, procedures, potential side effects, and expected outcomes in a clear and compassionate manner. • Supervise the administration of radiation therapy, ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to prescribed protocols. • Document all patient interactions and clinical decisions in the electronic medical record (EMR). • Engage in peer review, protocol development, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold high standards of care. • Pursue ongoing education and training to remain informed about emerging technologies, techniques, and evidence-based practices. • Participate in clinical trials or research initiatives aimed at improving outcomes and techniques (if applicable). • Participate in tumor boards, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. Position Summary
The Medical Staff Services Coordinator for Deaconess and Valley Hospitals is responsible for leading the regional medical staff functions including the maintenance of medical staff files, ensuring compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e. JCAHO, NCQA, CMS, and WA State) in regard to credentialing while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statutes and laws. The incumbent ensures that all expirables are reviewed, obtained and managed on a monthly basis according to the rules and policies; and works closely with the Coordinator and staff of the INW CVO office in coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process. Additional responsibilities include managing the flow of information between the MSO team, Medical Staff Leadership (including the Service and Committee chairpersons) and Administration, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing and clinical privileging database system while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Works under the supervision of the Medical Staff Services Program Director to support medical staff activities and special projects for all physicians and health care affiliates within MultiCare Health System INW hospitals and MultiCare Rockwood Clinic, under the authority of the Chiefs of Staffs of the Medical Staffs and the CMO of Deaconess and Valley Hospitals. Work situations are varied and involve highly confidential information and require a professional demeanor, organizational skills, independence and attention to detail.

The Neuro Hospitalist is a key member of the inpatient neuroscience care team, providing expert consultation and management of neurologic conditions in hospitalized patients. This physician plays a pivotal role in acute diagnostic evaluation, stabilization, and multidisciplinary coordination across departments to ensure timely, evidence-based care for complex neurologic presentations.
Working exclusively in the inpatient setting, the Neuro Hospitalist serves patients with a wide range of neurologic disorders, including stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, demyelinating diseases, and neuroinfectious conditions. This position involves high-impact collaboration with emergency medicine, hospital medicine, ICU teams, and subspecialty consultants to guide evaluation, treatment, and transitions of care.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients with acute or complex neurologic conditions
- Provide inpatient consultation services across medical, surgical, and ICU units
- Interpret neuroimaging and diagnostic studies (CT, MRI, EEG, lumbar punctures, labs)
- Participate in rapid response, stroke alerts, and time-sensitive interventions in coordination with emergency teams
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers including intensivists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists, and case managers
- Guide transitions of care, including discharge planning, outpatient follow-up, and rehabilitation referrals
- Document clinical encounters accurately and maintain compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement efforts, team meetings, and continuing education

Position Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the delivery of skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to designated patient populations with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities, which requires the use of advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations. This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations.Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training program
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington
- Registry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC required
- Advanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALS
- Health Care Provider level CPR certification

Position Summary
The Ophthalmic Photographer/Technician is responsible for performing high‑quality diagnostic imaging, clinical testing, and technical procedures to support Ophthalmology and Dermatology providers. This role also assists physicians during patient encounters, delivers patient education related to tests and treatments, and manages scheduling for outpatient procedures.Responsibilities
- You will ensure completion of all necessary consents and documents for the medical record, utilizing hospital-approved abbreviations and following hospital charting guidelines
- You will participate in all phases of education, maintenance of records, upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills
- You will schedule procedures for Ophthalmology and Dermatology
- You will gather initial health status of patients including vital signs and documents per policy

The Medical Receptionist is the first in-person point of contact for a patient on behalf of the medical practice. They are responsible for all aspects of front office duties assigned by a clinic.
