State Registered Nurse Assistant
Under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct and indirect patient care. The CNA provides excellence in patient care while respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of everyone. Empathy, compassion, communication, and teamwork are the hallmarks of the PCT-nurse-patient relationship.
- Performs direct patient care and related tasks as outlined by scope of practice and including but not limited to:
- Assist patients in personal hygiene activities such as bathing, dental and oral care, hair, and nail care.
- Assist patients with bowel and bladder functions while maintaining dignity.
- Records patient intake and output (I & O).
- Collects, labels, and transports specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Changes and transport soiled and contaminated linens according to procedure. o Maintains clean and tidy patient room/environment.
- Assist patients with activity, turning and repositioning as indicated by provider order and in collaboration with the nurse.
- Communicates pertinent patient information/findings to patient’s nurse. · Sets priorities for the care of multiple patients.
Requirements:
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with level of education.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)

Advanced Acute Care Cardiovascular (HFAM8) is a 30 bed, private room, Cardiology, Vascular, Thoracic and Med-Surgical with a cardiac diagnosis unit. We take patients needing conscious sedation for bedside cardioversions/Chest Tube insertion, Bi-pap, Hi-flow and Ultra-filtration for Heart Failure patients. Some of the cardiac drips we take are Milrinone, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Cardizem and Dobutamine. Currently, we do not take titratable drips. Also caring for patients post cardiac catheterization/cardiac procedure and patients with heart failure requiring inpatient interventions. Multidisciplinary approach to patient care. This includes, but not limited to, nursing, physicians, respiratory, physical/occupational therapy, and care management all working as a team to provide the best patient care.

We currently have opportunities for:
- Radiologic Technologist • Performs diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. Must participate in night and/or weekend call rotation. • Current BLS required; must successfully complete initial and annual competency testing.
- Will also cross-train into CT Scan following successful onboarding in X-ray.
- CT Technologist • Performs CT examinations and administers contrast material while following proper patient care and radiation-safety procedures. • Must successfully complete initial and annual competency testing and participate in night/weekend call rotation.
- Ultrasound Technologist • With limited supervision, performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the direction of the Radiologist. Must participate in night/weekend call rotation. • Current BLS required; must successfully complete initial and annual competency testing.
- EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Radiologic Technologist • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. • Current ARRT certification required within 90 days of hire, along with a current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license and BLS certification.
- CT Technologist • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT certification and Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy license. • Advanced ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography required within one year of hire; three years of related experience and current BLS certification required.
- Ultrasound Technologist • Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in sonography or equivalent. Current certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligible.
- • Current BLS certification required.

Job Duties:
Assesses, accessions, and processes patient specimens in preparation for testing in the various sections of Laboratory Medicine.
- Safely handles potentially infectious blood, body fluids, body tissues and other patient specimens in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assesses suitability and acceptability of patient specimens.
- Rejects unacceptable specimens according to established protocols.
- Matches order information with specimen information to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Accessions and results according to procedure via appropriate computer application.
- Correctly assigns billing numbers, location codes, and physician numbers.
- Verifies physician orders when test requests are unclear.
- Prepares specimens as appropriate including centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling.
- Delivers prepared specimens to appropriate testing area in a timely manner.
- Applies laboratory programs to store specimens and to locate, retrieve, and process specimens for additional testing as requested.
- Maintains computer logs, quality control, disinfection procedures, and departmental assigned duties.
- Manages phone inquiries and provides information regarding specimen collection, transport, and patient results as appropriate.
- Navigates and accesses multiple computer applications as needed.
- Assists with packaging ordering and referral of specimens to reference laboratories in compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation and commercial carrier regulations as required.
