Work an 8-hour schedule for unplanned and planned vacancies, including every other weekend.

$20.80 - $31.20EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. Patient access (scheduling, registration and financial clearance), insurance verification, billing or certified medical assistant experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greets patients arriving for their appointments. Monitors patient flow to ensure patients are cared for in the most efficient and courteous manner.
2. Ensures all patient demographic and insurance information is complete and accurate
3. Completes the registration process on walk-in patients, verifies and / or updates patient demographic and insurance information if changes or additions have occurred
4. Verifies insurance benefits. Obtains, calculates and collects the patient's out of pocket financial liability. Requests and collects past due and present balances or estimates due
5. Follows the Financial Clearance policy for non-urgent patient services if financial clearance has not been completed or authorization has not been obtained, when appropriate
6. Identifies patients in need of financial assistance and refers patients to Financial Counselor
7. Performs visit closure, including but not limited to checking out patients, scheduling follow-up appointment(s), collecting additional patient responsibility (when applicable) and providing patient with appropriate documents.
8. Maintains knowledge of and reference materials of the following: Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer requirements, guidelines and policies, insurance plans requiring pre-authorization/referral and a list of current accepted insurance plans.
9. Proactively communicates issues involving customer service and process improvement opportunities to management
10. Meets productivity requirements to ensure excellent service is provided to customers
11. Meets or exceeds performance expectations of 98% accuracy rate and established department productivity measurements.
12. Maintains excellent public relations with patients, families, and clinical staff as well as demonstrates a willingness and ability to work collaboratively with others for concise and timely flow of information
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to identify and understand issues and problems.
- Examines data and draws logical conclusions based on information available
- Knowledge and ability to articulate explanations of Medicare, HIPAA, and EMTALA rules and regulations and comply with updates on insurance pre-certification requirements
- Mathematical aptitude, effective oral and written communication skills and critical thinking skills
- Understanding of basic human anatomy, medical terminology and procedures for application in the patient referral, pre-certification and authorization processes.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization; presents a pleasant, professional demeanor and image during telephone conversation
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to internal policies
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and ADT software
- Ability to write routine correspondence, calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, to problem solve in a high profile and high stress area and interact positively with all internal and external customers while possessing the ability to determine priority of work

Baptist Health is looking for a Community / Retail Pharmacy Manager (Pharmacist in Charge) with Baptist Health Louisville!
- Demonstrates high level of competency for all community pharmacist functions and responsible for oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
- Responsible for staffing in the community pharmacy as required by the Board of Pharmacy.
- Evaluates performance of community pharmacy personnel, providing regular counseling on performance and sharing documentation of exemplary and unsatisfactory work.
- Directs the orientation, training, and continuing education of all community pharmacy staff.
- Plans expenditures according to budget guidelines and recommends resources needed for the department.
- Ensures compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program (if applicable), accrediting bodies, REMS compliance, third party payers (including audits), and state and federal regulations.
- Maintains appropriate licensure for the pharmacy (e.g., DEA registration, state pharmacy license, non-resident permits if applicable).
- Supports pharmacy enrollments (e.g., NPI, Medicare, Medicaid, third party insurers).
- Oversees record retention in accordance with Baptist Health policies and state and federal regulations.
- Ensures adequate control and documentation of controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Completes monthly review of OIG and GSA exclusion reporting for all direct reports to ensure appropriate action is taken to maintain compliance.
- Ensure all pharmacy staff complete annual Fraud, Waste and Abuse and HIPAA training and oversees compliance.
- Coordinates the development and implementation of strategies to eliminate or minimize medication errors.
- Reviews monthly quality reporting and completes quarterly review, root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Assesses the medication management system for risk points and identifies strategies to improve safety through regular team meetings.
- Plans education programs based on needs identified from quality assessment activities.
- Ensures integrity of medications by assuring storage under proper conditions (e.g., refrigeration) and security.
- Monitors drug shortages and implement solutions to avoid therapy delays.
- Ensures immunizations protocols are reviewed/updated annually, and all immunizers have current training including BLS CPR certification.
- Leads quarterly department business review with system pharmacy leadership and Director of Community Pharmacy.
- Ensures prompt and friendly service with the patient’s well-being as the number one priority when performing all functions and duties.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required.
Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
Master's or Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
1 year of work-related experience required.
Pharmacy management experience preferred.
Kentucky and/or Indiana Board of Pharmacy license in good standing based on site requirements. Licensure in surrounding states might be necessary/preferred to fulfill job responsibilities.
Life Support Training or Certification (ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.)
Must obtain Immunization certificate within 6 months.

Summary

- Performs all functions and duties with the patient at the center, ensuring prompt and friendly service in the Community Pharmacy.
- Performs all tasks associated with the filling and dispensing of community prescriptions, including computer order entry, updating patient information, filling and labeling prescriptions, and completing transactions at the point of sale.
- Delivery of medications to discharging patients per Pharmacist’s requests.
- Completes prescriber outreach for prescription refills under direct pharmacist supervision.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating home delivery for prescriptions.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration upon hire.

Description:
- An Ambulatory Pharmacist Heart & Valve Center is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services for ambulatory patients through accurate medication reconciliation; developing patient care plans including the selection, dosing, and monitoring of drug therapy; promoting medication adherence; and educating patients and other health care providers regarding complexities of drug therapy.
- Pharmacists will work under a collaborative care agreement with clinic providers; using approved protocols for disease states such as heart failure, hypertension and etc.
- Partners with providers and clinical staff on integration of the pharmacy team to coordinate care with patients.
- Communicating with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate exemplary service for new and existing clinic patients.
- Maintains onsite clinic pharmacy services, operational policies and procedures, clinical pharmacy workflows, and practice expectations.
- Participates actively in multidisciplinary committees, teams, working groups, and/or task forces related to the care of patients as the pharmacy representative.

- Collaborates with BHMG leadership, operational leaders, practice staff, providers, and onboarding stakeholders to ensure the best operational practices are implemented, and service excellence standards are maintained throughout the provider onboarding process.
- Develops and executes short-term and long-term onboarding strategies that support organizational goals, improves provider integration, and enhances the overall onboarding experience.
- Serves as the primary liaison between BHMG and providers, fostering effective communication and ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
- Leads weekly BHMG Provider Onboarding calls for assigned markets, facilitating collaboration, issue resolution, and progress tracking.
- Identifies onboarding, offboarding, and provider movement process challenges that may impact operational efficiency and recommends corrective actions and process improvements.
- Implements and maintain standardized onboarding protocols to ensure consistency, regulatory compliance, and organizational alignment.
- Educates BHMG leaders, practice staff, and stakeholders regarding provider onboarding and integration processes to promote consistent application of procedures, tools, and best practices.
- Partners with operational leaders and providers to gather feedback, evaluate onboarding effectiveness, and drive continuous process improvement.

The Pt. The Project Manager will own recording and maintaining the data needed to track all meetings and project items throughout completion of the project in the ServiceNow Project & Portfolio Management System. May require management of software vendors, program and project implementation strategy, project planning, and oversight of vendors and project teams associated with each deployment. Incumbent may work with BH Legal to ensure that all contracts have been reviewed prior to being accepted. This position will have indirect management responsibilities of IT support and contract staff. Requires the ability to provide direction, communicate, plan and set priorities with leadership and management staff at the system and local level.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree and 3 years related experience or any equivalent combination of education and direct experience in Healthcare / IT Project Management.
3 years’ experience assisting or leading medium or larger projects – Intermediate
Expertise with project management tools and methods; a proven track record of leading teams to successfully implement projects within scope.
3+ years’ experience preferred in IT Project Coordination or Project Management,
