Job Description:
The Nurse Clinical Leader provides leadership and clinical expertise during their shift and within their department. They manage unit resources and supervise personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels based on the unique needs of patients on the unit, both clinically and financially. They serve as clinical support for staff and exemplify competency and professionalism.
As a part of line management, this role will have significant leadership responsibilities, including several of the following: leading change, scheduling, maintenance of staff competencies, new employee selection / orientation, constructive discipline, and completion of annual employee performance reviews. The Nurse Clinical Leader provides leadership support for professional governance.
The Nurse Clinical Leader also works in a regularly scheduled bedside RN shift with the responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process with technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
Essential Functions
- Conducts thorough evaluations of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communication, and developmental skills when necessary. Gathers and assesses information from the interdisciplinary team: patient, family, physician, non-nursing professionals, support staff, and others.
- Models and fosters an environment of professionalism and employee engagement on the unit. Advocates for nursing teams in respective practice areas. Supports other members of nursing management with key messaging and priority initiatives.
- Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and to coordinate and organize the department’s patient care delivery through effectively managing time, supplies, and resources, including by scheduling caregivers and approving/denying time off requests based on department and patient care needs.
- Forecasts, develops, and communicates accurate information on admission, discharge, and transfer to ensure appropriate patient placement while communicating with appropriate caregivers on difficult/challenging patients to facilitate appropriate care needs.
- Evaluates and promotes staff competency, performance, and compliance with policies and procedures through performance reviews, peer reviews, caregiver recognition (e.g., recommendations for promotion and/or other rewards/incentives), and corrective action.
- Evaluates department needs and develops and implements plans to move staff from novice to expert nurses in areas of practice, clinical competency, and patient experience.
- Integrates legal and ethical standards into practice, complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of licensure, provides accurate & timely documentation, and understands legal implications of care delivery.
- Makes and/or recommends decisions related to staffing and hiring needs, candidate evaluation and selection, new hire orientation, and caregiver retention, orientation, etc.
- Ensures that staffing levels/skill levels match census/acuities for the department and assigns patient care and other responsibilities appropriate to skill and experience levels of individual caregivers.
- Assists staff members with direct patient care as needed.
- Shares responsibility for the day-to-day operations. Promotes safety, quality and experience for patients and caregivers.
- Oversight responsibilities for competency of staff. This may include annual skills updates, ongoing educational in-services and completion of mandatory educational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current Nursing License to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified). Registered Nurses (RNs) hired or promoted into this role must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of their hire or promotion date. If there is an existing education agreement, that agreement will take precedence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience in assigned clinical area.
- Specialty Certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employees to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit is a fast-paced 28 bed unit that cares for all cardiac related things. Our brand-new state-of-the-art unit focuses on providing amazing cardiac care to our critical patients but makes families aware that their loved ones are receiving the best in the Triad. This includes the medical and surgical patient population. These patients come with many challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as a nurse. You can expect to see patients with advanced heart failure, heart transplants, post arrest hypothermia, coronary bypass grafting and much more. The devices you will get to work with include: IABP (Intra-Aortic balloon pump), pacemaker/ICD, Impella, LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device), ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring.

The unit also accepts post-operative admissions originating from areas such as the emergency room or a physician’s office. SIPS is a wonderful unit for New Graduate LPNs and RNs who want exposure to a wide variety of patients.

The Prepayment Program Integrity Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of prepayment claims auditing programs designed to ensure payment and vendor accuracy. This role oversees prepayment review activities, vendor edit programs, provider appeal processes, and related auditing operations. The Manager leads a multidisciplinary team of clinical, coding, and audit professionals while partnering with internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize claim review performance, cost savings opportunities, and provider engagement. This position is accountable for ensuring that prepayment audit activities are conducted in a consistent, compliant, fact-based, and unbiased manner while balancing payment integrity objectives with provider experience and operational efficiency.Job Duties:
Manages day to day operations of Program Integrity Department. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and other regulations while maintaining the integrity of all auditing data and reports. Conducts periodic compliance and performance reviews of auditor cases and activity. Improves the balance of complexity versus-value to increase potential impact and returns. Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Operations
- Manage the daily operations of the Prepayment Program Integrity function, including prepayment claim review and vendor edit oversight.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve prepayment auditing strategies that support organizational payment integrity and compliance objectives.
- Monitor program performance, audit outcomes, operational metrics, and financial impact to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, workflows, and controls related to prepayment claims auditing activities.
- Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives while meeting regulatory requirements, business objectives, and operational deadlines.
Vendor Management & Oversight
- Serve as the primary business owner for prepayment audit vendors and editing solutions.

- Collaborate with vendors to implement new edits, optimize existing auditing strategies, and improve program results.

Audit & Claims Review Management
- Oversee prepayment claim auditing activities involving professional, facility, and ancillary claims.

Clinical & Coding Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of nurses, coders, auditors, analysts, and payment integrity professionals.

The Lab Support Tech I cordially greets and receives patients, ascertains their needs, and appropriately directs them. This role includes computer and telephone use, clerical duties, and performing phlebotomy procedures, including blood cultures, EKGs, breath tests, MRSA and COVID swabbing.I. Major Responsibilities:
Specimen Collection
1. Collects blood samples using appropriate venipuncture techniques across all age groups.
2. Follows departmental protocols for sample collection.
3. Communicates difficulties or complications to supervisors and maintains professional conduct.
Specimen Receiving and Distribution
1. Receives specimens in the computer system.
2. Labels and prioritizes specimens (e.g., STAT, STROKE, CSF) accurately.
3. Transports specimens promptly and redistributes them per protocol.
Work Area Organization
1. Maintains a clean and organized drawing station or cart.
2. Restocks supplies at the end of each shift.
3. Keeps patient orders accessible and organized.
Specimen Registration
1. Registers all courier-delivered specimens accurately and efficiently.
2. Troubleshoots printer issues as needed.
Computer and Test Ordering Support
1. Demonstrates mastery of hospital information systems.
2. Orders tests accurately using knowledge of test dictionaries and panels.
