The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner plans group and individualized educational initiatives to promote exemplary professional practice and quality patient care. Merging innovative thinking with evidence-based practice, the Education Specialist empowers the learner to improve outcomes by promoting professional development of the learner. Provides expertise in adult learning theory and generational learning principles to promote quality educational events. Utilizes advanced critical thinking and leadership skills to implement the Department of Nursing's educational goals. Provides oversight and coordination of educational endeavors to minimize duplication of unnecessary tasks and maximize the impact thus encouraging retention of information.Work Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pmResponsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates ability to instruct all levels of nursing staff.
- Demonstrates effective working relationships among departments.
- Facilities critical thinking, technical, and interpersonal competencies of staff.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor Degree Nursing

- Master's Degree in related field within 3 to 5 years

About this role:
As an Advanced Practice Provider- Medical Oncology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.

- You would practice at St. Joseph Cancer Center
- Clinic Hours Monday – Friday, 8-5 4 - 10 hour days, day off will be Wednesday
- No call/no weekends
- You will conduct new hematology consult appointments in partnership with physician.
- You will conduct follow-up appointments for patients with benign hematology diagnoses, monitor active chemotherapy patients, and manage chemotherapy-related side effects.
- Responsible for care in the Infusion Center
- You will round at the hospital as needed, during clinic hours
What you’ll bring:
- APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
- Unrestricted license as an NP or PA in the state of Colorado or able to obtain
- Current BLS, DEA, and full prescriptive authority
- Minimum 1 year of NP or PA experience, preferably in oncology
- Can consider a new graduate NP with recent RN oncology experience
- We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship currently

- Creates the initial electronic health record that serves as the foundation of the patient medical record that is utilized by all members of the healthcare team. Prevents creation of duplicate medical records that can cause treatment safety issues and billing problems. Follows and ensures compliance with the mandate of the organization’s accrediting bodies to use identifiers to positively identify a patient prior to the delivery of patient care to ensure patient safety.
- Checks in and registers patients; obtains and verifies complete demographic, guarantor, and insurance information; discusses and collects co-pays and other out-of-pocket patient responsibilities. Obtaining accurate information at the point of registration helps ensure timely payment to the organization and prevents billing issues and patient complaints. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding patient personal/financial information and medical records in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Knows insurance basics and recognizes commercial and government plans. Understands which plans Advocate Health contracts with and when a statement of financial responsibility is needed. Understands and discusses financial information and obligations with patients. Knows how and when to refer patients to Financial Advocates.
- Has knowledge of which rules, forms and questions must be enforced to make sure Advocate Health remains compliant with government agencies and regulations. Examples are HIPAA, Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), Consent for Treatment, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Important Message from Medicare (IMM), Medicare Outpatient Observation Notice (MOON), Notice of Privacy Practices, Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire (MSPQ), Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN). Obtains patient or guarantor signatures as required.
- May schedule patient appointments: may also coordinate cancellations, reschedules, wait list requests, and recall requests. Provides accurate, detailed information regarding test preparations, patient arrival time, medication/food/beverage consumption guidelines, check-in procedures, directions to facility, etc.
- Creates a welcoming and professional environment for our patients and visitors by demonstrating extraordinary customer service. Greets patients and visitors and responds to routine requests for information. Answers telephone, screens calls, and takes messages. Offers various assistance to patients to include arranging transportation needs, providing directions, locating a wheelchair, coordinating interpreter services, etc.

This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health, including assisting patients with basic hygiene needs, maintaining an optimum level of mobility and providing assistance with nutritional intake as needed.
2. Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs, input/output and other delegated measurements in accordance with unit/facility policy and standards of care. Documents objective data and routine aspects of patient care. Assists in the transportation of patient specimens.
3. Recognizes and reports abnormalities and/or changes in the patient’s health status and responses to treatment to a licensed professional. Promotes continuity of care by accurately and completely communicating to other caregivers the status of patients for which care is provided.
4. Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional, consistent with demonstrated competencies and according to state scope of practice; procedures may include blood draws, foley catheters removal, EKGs, and EKG monitoring. Provides necessary supplies, support and assistance to medical staff and patients for unit specific procedures, under the direct supervision of a licensed professional.
5. Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support overall operating efficiency and effective flow of communication and information throughout the department. Participates in the resolution of customer problems or collects necessary data and follows through to appropriate person for problem resolution.
6. Maintains a complete patient record with admission, transfer, and discharge information, progress notes, and consent forms. Ensures that all reports and chart forms are scanned or filed into the patient’s record. Ensures that charting forms are labeled and accessible if they are needed. Maintains adequate supplies of frequently used, patient education materials. Assists in the ordering of patient specimens. May transcribe and process physician orders effectively using the electronic medical record.
7. Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and completes requisition forms when supplies need to be ordered. Reconciles supply order upon delivery. Monitors and tracks the use and whereabouts of electronic equipment such as patient ID scanners and lap top computers. Ensures that all are accounted for and in working order.

3A is a 24 bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) that serves patients with medically complex cardiac needs. This unit sees a variety of cardiac related diagnosis, cardiac drips, pre/post procedures including TAVR recovery and recovery of open hearts post ICU downgrade, may also see pulmonary, renal and vascular patients. The vast majority of the patients in the PCU require continuous cardiac monitoring. Ratio flex between 1:4-5, however most of the time ratios are 1:4. The Progressive Care Unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center is currently seeking experienced PCU Nurses, but at this time we are accepting application for those that have Telemetry, ICU, Home Health, Skilled Nursing, Medical/Surgical or any other acute or critical care background. This is a full-time night shift, working three 12 hour shifts per week, 7:00pm to 7:30am, with rotating weekends/holidays. The Administrative Support I provides administrative support and assistance to an office, department and/or function at a site or location within Mount Carmel Health System. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.
What you'll do:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of a Secretarial School or Business School preferred.
- Experience: Previous administrative support experience preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with PCs, Windows operating systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of work documents.
- Must be able to do normal business arithmetic accurately and maintain statistical records and reports.
- Follow CMS Guidelines when completing daily tasks.

Overview
Performs general MRI examinations while maintaining safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patient records, reports, and files. Performs patient MRI exam per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation, examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Education
- Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology (Required)

Job Description:
This job code applies to the Athletic Trainer, in the community, youth or high school setting, with primary assignment to support the medical needs of the assigned partner; provide medical coverage, on field and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events. Such duties may also extend to assist other local high schools, community sporting events, and regional sporting camps/activities. This position will have variable working hours, unpredictability of schedules, adjusting to match the needs of the partner and late nights.
Essential Functions
- Carries out rehabilitation program after athlete or patient has been evaluated and treatment plan has been established collaborating closely with other medical team providers including PT, and Physician.
- Assesses and administers first-aide to injured athletes during practices and sporting events, making appropriate physician referral when needed.
- Oversees the operation of the Athletic Training room ensuring that appropriate levels of supplies are maintained, maximal coverage is provided, and that the Athletic Training room and clinic maintains a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Communicates effectively with coaches, school administration, parents, athletes, patients, physicians, therapists as well as other sports medicine team members.
- Maintains accurate records of all evaluations, referrals, and treatments administered to patients or athletes.
- Provides education and training on injury prevention, advocates for overall health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing.
- Develops strong relationships with Key Stakeholders at assigned school or clinic; including but not limited to; Physicians, Athletic Director, School Administration and Faculty, Coaching Staff, Boosters, and Parents.
- Ensures that proper return to play criteria is met before allowing participation of athlete or patient, ensuring that the best interest of the athlete or patient is the priority.
- Organizes and presents in-services, lectures, coaches conferences, seasonal physicals, sports camps, training, and educational opportunities as appropriate.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Athletic Training Licensure for the states in which you work.
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience working in school/community setting as an Athletic Trainer
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
