We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Physical Therapist to lead and grow our clinic in Winchester, VA (FASST). This is a unique opportunity for a born leader to not only deliver exceptional, hands-on physical therapy but also shape the success and culture of the clinic. You will be instrumental in establishing our reputation for high-quality, patient-centered care.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
Clinical Leadership: Act as the clinical leader for the new location, driving patient outcomes and setting a standard for clinical excellence.
Patient Care: Provide one-on-one, high-level patient care without the use of an aide or technician.
Time Management: Utilize ample time with each patient to apply sound clinical reasoning and ensure the
highest possible level of care and personalized attention.
Diverse Caseload Management: Treat a broad and varied patient population, including athletes, children, and adults with a wide range of pathologies, leveraging the resources of FASST Sports Performance Training facility.
Growth and Development: Play a key role in the growth and expansion of the new clinic.
Competitive compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities will make this a perfect opportunity!
Our philosophy is to create a work environment that makes the therapist enjoy coming to work. One on one care, inside of a gym, focus on continued growth, and following passions. If our therapists are happy, our patients feel it. When they feel it, they become motivated and enjoy their care. When they enjoy their care, they show up and follow through with PT. When they come, they get better. After they get better, they tell everyone about us. When we become known, we are busy and the business thrives. But it all starts with the PT!

Orthopedic + Pelvic Health Physical Therapist
Sisu Boston Physical Therapy and Performance View all jobs
Posted 18 day(s) ago
Reference: 2298133
Sisu Boston is a PT-owned, cash-based physical therapy and performance practice for active adults, runners, and athletes who want to keep doing what they love.
We help people move from pain and injury back to running, lifting, competing, and living an active lifestyle, with care that goes beyond simply getting someone out of pain.
Our practice sits at the intersection of *orthopedics, pelvic health, and performance*, with particular expertise in:
* *Runners + endurance athletes* — from injury rehabilitation and return-to-run to building strength, training capacity, and long-term resilience
* *Active adults + athletes* — helping patients recover from injury, build strength, and return to the activities and sports they care about
* *Orthopedic rehabilitation* — using clinical reasoning, movement assessment, manual therapy, and progressive exercise to address the whole person rather than simply treating a diagnosis
* *Pelvic health* — providing evidence-based care for pelvic pain, urinary and bowel dysfunction, and other pelvic health concerns
* *Pregnancy + postpartum* — helping active women navigate pregnancy, prepare for birth, and rebuild strength and confidence postpartum, including returning to running, lifting, and sport
* *Strength + performance* — bridging the gap between rehabilitation and the demands of an active lifestyle
Our 1:1, 60-minute model gives clinicians the time and autonomy to provide thoughtful care and follow patients beyond the point where traditional physical therapy might discharge them.
*The Opportunity*
We are hiring our first clinical team member as we expand Sisu into Newton.
This is an opportunity for a physical therapist who wants to work with a motivated, active patient population while having the autonomy to practice the way they believe physical therapy should be practiced.
You'll work closely with the founder while building your own patient population, developing your clinical niche, and helping shape the next phase of Sisu.
We are open to:
* A full-time position
* A part-time position of 30 hours/week
For the right person, this role has a pathway toward future clinical leadership as Sisu grows.
*Responsibilities*
You will:
* Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
* Provide 60-minute, 1:1 treatment sessions
* Develop individualized rehabilitation, strength, and return-to-activity plans
* Treat orthopedic and pelvic health conditions
* Work with runners, endurance athletes, and active adults
* Support patients through pregnancy and postpartum, including return to running, lifting, and sport
* Use exercise, strength training, movement retraining, manual therapy, and education as appropriate
* Coach patients through progressive rehabilitation and performance goals
* Build strong, long-term patient relationships
* Communicate effectively with referring providers and other healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate documentation and case management
* Participate in clinical mentorship and case discussions
* Contribute to the development of clinical systems and the growth of Sisu
*Why You'll Love It Here*
* *True 1:1 care* — 60-minute sessions with no double booking or aides
* *Active patient population* — runners, endurance athletes, recreational athletes, and motivated active adults
* *Clinical autonomy* — treat based on your clinical reasoning rather than insurance restrictions or cookie-cutter protocols
* *Low-volume caseload* — enough time to think, assess, treat, educate, and coach
* *Full continuum of care* — take patients from pain and injury through strength, return to activity, and performance
* *Unique clinical mix* — combine orthopedic, sports, pelvic health, pregnancy/postpartum, and performance care
* *Direct mentorship* — work closely with the founder through clinical collaboration and case discussion
* *Build your niche* — develop expertise and a patient population around the areas you're most passionate about
* *Quality of life* — flexible scheduling, unlimited PTO, no weekends, and a sustainable clinical environment
* *Opportunity to build something* — as Sisu's first clinical hire, you'll have a meaningful voice in the practice's future
*The Ideal Candidate*
You may be a strong fit if you:
* Hold a DPT and Massachusetts PT license, or are eligible for licensure
* Have 3+ years experience in orthopedic physical therapy and/or pelvic health
* Enjoy working with runners, athletes, and active adults
* Are passionate about exercise-based rehabilitation and performance
* Are confident in your clinical reasoning and comfortable practicing autonomously
* Are relationship-oriented and communicate clearly
* Take initiative and enjoy ownership over your work
* Value clinical growth, mentorship, and continued learning
* Are excited by the opportunity to help build something from the ground up
Experience or interest in the following is a plus:
* Running rehabilitation
* Endurance sports
* Strength and conditioning
* Sports rehabilitation
* Pelvic health
* Pregnancy and postpartum care
* Performance-based physical therapy
You do not need to be an expert in every area. We are looking for a strong clinician who is curious, adaptable, and excited to continue developing their craft.
*What Makes Sisu Different*
Sisu isn't traditional outpatient physical therapy with a cash-based payment model layered on top.
We work with people who want to stay active—and we help them get there.
A runner with knee pain may need more than symptom relief; they may need a thoughtful return-to-run progression and a plan to rebuild training capacity.
A postpartum athlete may not simply want to recover from pregnancy; she may want to return to running, lifting, or competing.
An active adult with back pain may not just want to feel better; they may want to understand what is contributing to their symptoms, build resilience, and get back to training.
An athlete rehabbing an injury shouldn't have to "graduate" from physical therapy before they're ready to perform.
That's the Sisu model: meet patients where they are, understand where they want to go, and build the bridge between the two.
*Compensation & Benefits*
*Salary: $85,000–$95,000/year*
Benefits include:
* Health insurance subsidy
* Paid parental leave
* 401(k) with match
* Unlimited PTO
* Continuing education reimbursement
* Paid professional development and mentorship
* Flexible weekday schedule
* Performance-based growth opportunities
* Retention bonuses tied to key employment milestones
*Growth Opportunity*
As Sisu grows, there will be opportunities to:
* Mentor future clinicians
* Develop clinical protocols and resources
* Build and lead a clinical specialty
* Help onboard future team members
* Contribute to hiring and team development
* Develop community and referral relationships
* Take on future clinical leadership responsibilities
As our first clinical hire, you'll have an opportunity that future employees simply won't: help shape what Sisu becomes.
*How to Apply*
Please send your resume and a brief cover letter addressing:
* Why you're interested in Sisu
* Your clinical interests and areas of expertise
* The patient populations you most enjoy working with
* What you're looking for in your next clinical role
Please indicate whether you're interested in full-time, part-time, or either.
We'd love to meet the clinician who wants to help us build the next chapter of Sisu.
