The Division of Gynecologic Oncology at UMass Memorial Medical Center, clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical school, is seeking a fourth BE/BC gynecologic oncologist to work as a full-time clinician/educator at the assistant or associate professor level.
UMass Memorial Medical Center, located in scenic central Massachusetts, is an 818 bed tertiary care center serving the central and western Massachusetts region.

University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, ranked best in the Northeast for primary care education, is nationally known for its Nobel and Lasker prize winning research faculty and is highly ranked among medical schools for NIH funding.
·The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has 6 robust subspecialty divisions and 24 resident physicians that are actively involved in the clinical care of our diverse gynecologic oncology patient population.
·Division members practice full spectrum gynecologic oncology, including surgical and chemotherapy care, participate in medical student and resident education, and have opportunities for clinical research.
·The Division of Gynecologic Oncology is a member of NRG Oncology and the Gynecologic Oncology Group Foundation/Partners. Clinical, translational, and basic science research is encouraged.
Qualifications
·Board-certified or board-eligible in Gynecologic Oncology.
·Fellowship training
·Must hold a MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license

About this role:
For more than 50 years, physicians from Intermountain Health and National Jewish Health, have worked together to create a heart and vascular program known for exceptional quality, superior outcomes, and innovative cardiovascular (CV) treatments.
Today, this unique clinical partnership has resulted in the formation of a top-tier Heart and Vascular program serving the needs of patients throughout the Rocky Mountain West.
As a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you’ll work with 2 other surgeons and 4 Advanced Practitioners to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Some highlights you can expect are:
- Practice at Saint Joseph Hospital in downtown Denver, CO
- Saint Joseph Hospital has earned 3-out-of-3 stars from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for patient care and outcomes in coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), and aortic valve replacement (AVR), and is well known for mitral valve replacement/repair (MVRR).
- Take Q3 call only at one hospital (APPs also take Q4 floor/ ICU/ practice/OR call)
- Large, matured CT practice with collaborative relationships and referral patterns
- Full ICU support with excellent group of Intensivists on site 24/7
- A busy Structural Heart Program with the highest volume of Mitraclips in the state. 2 ongoing structural heart trials and Evoque implantation.
- A dedicated shock program as an ECMO site
- Our Medical Group is a physician-led group with the administrative support of a larger hospital system
How we'll support you:
- Compensation:Our competitive compensation consists of an initial base salary of $1,031,000 plus a wRVU bonus incentive.Additionally, there is up to a $75,000 annual quality bonus. We are also offering a $25,000 starting bonus. A relocation bonus is also available if applicable.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet requirements of at least one of the routes listed below
Route 1
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited (regionally or nationally) college/university with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the baccalaureate degree.
AND
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program within the last five years
Route 2
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited (regionally or nationally) college/university with a major in biological science or chemistry, OR a baccalaureate degree from an accredited (regionally or nationally) college/university with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the baccalaureate degree.
AND
One year of full time acceptable clinical** experience in a histopathology laboratory within the last five years OR one year of full time acceptable veterinary, industry or research experience in a histopathology laboratory in the U.S. or Canada within the last five years OR completion of a two-part structured histology program of at least nine months that includes both classroom (didactic) training and a minimum of 480 hours of acceptable clinical experience in a histopathology laboratory within the last five years.
Route 3
Valid HT (ASCP) certification
AND
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited (regionally or nationally) college/university.
AND
Six months of full time acceptable clinical experience in a histopathology laboratory within the last five years OR six months of full time acceptable veterinary, industry, or research experience in a histopathology laboratory in the U.S. or Canada within the last five years
Route 4
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited (regionally or nationally) college/university with a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the baccalaureate degree.
AND
Successful completion of a 50 week U.S. military Histotechnician or Histotechnologist training course within the last ten years.
Certification
Prior to January 1, 2004, all individuals must have met educational requirements and have completed certification through ASCP for Histotechnologist (HTL)
All individuals who are newly ASCP certified after January 1, 2004, must maintain ongoing certification.
All individuals must have completed certification OR be registry eligible and complete certification within one year of hire through ASCP for Histotechnologist.
Required Experience:
Must have experience, within the last five years, in the following areas: Fixation, Embedding/Microtomy, Processing, Staining, and Laboratory Operations.
Requirements
- Employees must demonstrate competencies specific to populations served for clinical or non-clinical dependent upon laboratory location.
- Each individual must demonstrate initial competency for proper performance of pre-analytical, analytic, and post-analytical phases of testing dependent upon department assignment. Once competency is demonstrated, direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting. Semi-annual competency will be assessed within first year of hire and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to operate and perform basic computer programs associated with documentation and record keeping in the department
- Must demonstrate a degree of independent judgment and critical thinking, consulting with the histotechnologist or department leader(s) when appropriate.

Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for specimen processing, test performance and/or for reporting test results.
- Performs only testing that they have trained in and demonstrated competency for.
- Follows the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, and maintaining the records of patients processed.
- Follows good laboratory practices with reagent stability and storage.
- Adheres to the laboratory’s chemical and biohazardous safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies and document all quality control activities.
- Verifies instrument functionality by checking, performing maintenance, calibrating specific lab instruments and troubleshooting as required on assigned analyzers according to procedure.
- Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the supervisor prior to proceeding..
- Demonstrates through proficiency testing samples that all testing is performed in the same manner as patient specimens.
- Documents all corrective actions taken when process (es) deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.
- May be delegated by department leader to help in evaluating and selecting new testing methods and instrumentation.
- Participates in Laboratory Quality Program activities.
- Assists in orienting and training any new laboratory employees in pre-analytical, analytical (waived, moderate and high complexity), and post-analytical phases of testing as appropriate to job description.
- Assists in training and precepting laboratory HT or HLT students.
- Assist in laboratory tours and with individuals approved to shadow laboratory department(s).
- Advocate for self and fellow employees when safety concerns are identified by documenting appropriately.
- May be requested to alter start time, shift, department(s), and/or site depending on patient care needs.
- May be assigned regulatory responsibilities as listed and evaluated on the CLIA Roles competency evaluation.
- The laboratory director may delegate the dissection of specimens to non-pathologist individuals; these individuals must be qualified as high complexity testing personnel under CLIA regulations and have 3 months on the job documented training. These individuals must demonstrate initial competency for proper performance. Once competency is demonstrated, direct supervision is not required. Working Conditions
- Be part of a team oriented environment that includes problem solving and creative thinking.
- Must follow laboratory safety policies and procedures due to potential for occupational exposure to infectious materials, including but not limited to: blood and other potentially infectious materials.

- Working irregular hours, including mandatory overtime, holidays, weekends and on-call hours.

The University of Louisville Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking an experienced, board-certified advanced heart failure cardiologist to join our cardiology faculty in our Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant program. Heart failure cardiologists will perform biopsies, right heart caths, and care for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathies, mechanical support devices, and transplants. UofL Cardiology has been a successful transplant center since 1984 and is one of the region's leading transplant hospitals, performing heart, lung, hand, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants.
The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the HF and VAD clinical service, including inpatient and outpatient settings (mid-level providers are available to help) and work collaboratively with our excellent surgical team. Responsibilities include teaching medical students, house staff, cardiology fellows, and an Advanced Heart Failure fellow. The candidate will also participate in clinical trials in heart failure and perform scholarly work. Call is shared within the Section of Heart Failure with the other two physicians.

- Strategic Planning and Leadership: Participating in strategic planning for the medical center and assisting in matters related to the Medical Staff and Clinical Care Delivery Systems. This involves representing Medical Staff interests to Management and serving as a liaison between the two.
- Medical Staff Coordination and Support: Coordinating and providing staffing for Medical Staff committee activities, serving as a resource, and providing appropriate leadership and guidance. This includes collaborating closely with the Medical Staff President, other elected Medical Staff officers, department, and committee chairperson.
- Value-Based Care: Championing value-based care by participating in the development and execution of value-based care strategies, monitoring and influencing risk contract performance, and fostering an environment conducive to value-based care.
- Physician Recruitment and Development: Overseeing physician productivity and practice efficiency, guiding the implementation of enhancements, and ensuring the efficacy of the local physician recruitment process.
- Administrative Functions: Coordinating administrative functions for medical staff, including employment agreements, regulatory compliance, care management initiatives, physician performance reviews, peer review, privileging, and credentialing.
- Performance Improvement and Quality Management Directing a medical center-wide Performance Improvement Program, establishing standards of performance, monitoring mechanisms, and outcomes tracking for appropriate medical center departments and the Medical Staff. This also involves guiding and directing the activities of the medical center's Performance Improvement Teams.
- Capacity Management: Providing leadership for capacity management initiatives to improve patient flow and support optimal patient care.
- Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and managing risk through quality improvement and infection control plans.
- Human Resources Management: Responsibilities related to human resources, including interviewing, selecting new employees, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Community and Physician Relationships: Developing relationships with medical centers and community physicians to support strategic initiatives and fostering a close, mutually beneficial relationship between the Medical Staff and the medical center.
- Budget Management: Developing and recommending operating and capital budgets and controlling expenditures within approved budget objectives

UMass Memorial Medical Center is a level I trauma center and tertiary care referral center serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region.
About the role:
The physician will serve as an attending on infectious disease inpatient and outpatient services including the most inpatient service as attending on Transplant ID Service.
An interest or experience in transplant infectious diseases, transplants for HIV infected patients, hepatitis C and Infection Prevention for transplant recipients is ideal.
Appointment as Medical Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases is possible for applicants with strong administrative skills and experience on Transplant Infectious Diseases since fellowship.
Our solid organ transplant program is multidisciplinary and transplants over 65 livers/year and100 kidneys/year. We have an active bone marrow transplant program and growing cardiac ventricular assist device program.
Our HIV program is a grantee of Ryan White Part C and state contracts for HIV and Hep C care.
Teaching is integrated into our practice and an academic appointment is available commensurate with experience. There are extensive research opportunities and educational offsets for teaching through UMass Chan Medical School.
The physician will work in a collegial and collaborative setting where clinical care, education and research are valued.

UMass Memorial Medical Center is a level I trauma center and tertiary care referral center serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region.
About the role:
The physician will serve as an attending on infectious disease inpatient and outpatient services including the most inpatient service as attending on Transplant ID Service.
An interest or experience in transplant infectious diseases, transplants for HIV infected patients, hepatitis C and Infection Prevention for transplant recipients is ideal.
Appointment as Medical Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases is possible for applicants with strong administrative skills and experience on Transplant Infectious Diseases since fellowship.
Our solid organ transplant program is multidisciplinary and transplants over 65 livers/year and100 kidneys/year. We have an active bone marrow transplant program and growing cardiac ventricular assist device program.
Our HIV program is a grantee of Ryan White Part C and state contracts for HIV and Hep C care.
Teaching is integrated into our practice and an academic appointment is available commensurate with experience. There are extensive research opportunities and educational offsets for teaching through UMass Chan Medical School.

Physicians are responsible for diagnosing illnesses and prescribing as well as administering treatment for patients suffering from disease or illness. They also examine patients in addition to obtaining medical histories.
