Clarity Animal Hospital is Billings’ _only_ locally owned emergency veterinary hospital and was opened in January 2025 by Dr. Kayla Erickson. Dr. Erickson is a 2015 Washington State University graduate and Billings native that has devoted her entire career to emergency medicine and critical care. The first open-concept clinic of it’s kind in Billings, MT, Clarity Animal Hospital strives to make their patients as comfortable as possible during their visit. This includes keeping the pet with their owner through as much of the process as possible. Blood draws, catheter placement, and stabilization of critical patients take place with the patient’s owners right by their side, if they wish.
Clarity Animal Hospital was built with the mission of providing superior patient care and to provide a calm, safe environment for pets and clients, and to create a positive culture for all employees to work in. We are currently open from 7:00am Friday to 7:00pm on Monday, with plans to expand to 24/7 within the next 6 months.

Clarity Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled Emergency Veterinarian to provide the highest quality, fast-paced medical care to pets and support to the clients that love them. *About the role *
* Provide emergency and urgent care services to companion animals
* Perform thorough animal assessments quickly to determine treatment priorities and develop effective intervention plans.
* Perform diagnostics, medical management, and emergency surgeries
* Administer medications, fluids, anesthesia, and perform advanced procedures such as animal catheterization and aseptic techniques.
* Stabilize critical patients and formulate effective treatment plans
* Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, staff, and referring veterinarians
* Collaborate with experienced technicians, assistants, and fellow veterinarians
* Contribute to a supportive, learning-focused environment where everyone grows together
* Handle animal restraint safely and compassionately to facilitate examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
* Maintain detailed medical records of all treatments, procedures, and patient progress in accordance with veterinary standards.
* Support pet owners by explaining treatment options clearly and providing guidance on post-care instructions.

$44.15 - $66.25Serves as a resource for and coordinates complex recruitment initiatives and strategies. Sources and recruits qualified physician candidates system-wide and is accountable for the development of recruitment plans that align recruiting efforts with the organization's strategies and goals.
Major Responsibilities:
- Identifies and sources targeted physicians using a variety of creative and effective recruitment methods that include web advertising, mining websites, email blasts, social media, journal ads, direct mail, telemarketing, networking, referral programs, phone interviews, conference attendance, and search firms. Identifies qualities and skills needed by the hiring department and utilizes information to develop effective recruitment plans for sourcing and identifying physician candidates.
- Develops and implements complex recruitment plans and aligns recruiting efforts with organizational strategies/objectives. Screens potential candidates assessing their background/training to determine compatibility and fit for organizational opportunities. Provides the candidate with the critical organizational guiding principles that successfully describe the organizational culture and potential life-long career opportunities. Educates, informs and sells the opportunities keying in on what the provider is looking for to ensure a long-term match.
- Actively leads special recruitment projects, initiatives, or work teams and partners with other team members on recruitment strategies for pivotal positions. Proactively identifies and drives process improvements for the department.
- Establishes regular and close communications with key site partners to communicate the progress of recruitment and ensures timely feedback between the team and candidate.
- Builds long-term relationships with candidates due to the length of the recruitment cycle. Keeps the candidate informed of opportunities and potential fit at times over a period of several years. Works to create contacts for the candidates within the organization to increase the capture rate. Effectively utilizes the team’s Customer Relationship Management tool to build candidate pipelines and connect with both active and passive physician candidates.
- Uses technical recruitment expertise to educate, consult and collaborate with physician and administrative leadership in the following areas: physician recruitment process, timeframes for success, market availability, compensation and benefits, immigration needs and employment law. Collaborates with local administration to develop and maintain practice descriptions in-order-to capture/summarize each physician practice opportunity, information on the current practicing physicians, and on the community in which the practice is based as led with by the physician/APC recruiter.
- Provides guidance to others in the department related to developing and implementing recruitment plans, sourcing physicians, and participates in orientating newly hired recruiters. Serves as a resource in evaluating unique or challenging issues that arise in the recruitment process. Reinforces critical thinking skills and coaches on analytical interpretation of candidate responses to probing questions.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 5 years of experience in physician recruitment or executive recruitment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Advanced knowledge and skills in developing and implementing complex recruiting strategies and successfully sourcing targeted candidates.
- Skills in the use of web advertising, mining websites, email blasts, social media, journal ads, direct mail, telemarketing, networking, referral programs, phone interviews, conference attendance, and search firms. Identifies qualities and skills needed by the hiring department, and utilizes information to develop effective recruitment plans for sourcing and identifying physician candidates.
- In depth knowledge of state and federal employment laws impacting the recruitment function, human resources, and the overall implications to the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Skills and experience in effectively building relationships and consulting with physicians and leadership.
- Excellent negotiation, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office or similar products. Skilled in the utilization and knowledge of web based recruiting.
- Skills in evaluating, addressing and providing resolution to complex recruitment issues and challenges.
- Skills in serving as resource and providing guidance to others in the department on recruitment and sourcing strategies.
