*Now Hiring: Spay & Neuter Clinic Veterinarian (Full or part-time!)*
The Community Spay & Neuter Clinic at Dakin Humane Society is the largest of its kind in New England, providing high-quality, accessible spay and neuter surgery for dogs and cats throughout Springfield and the surrounding communities.
Since opening in 2009, we've performed more than 144,000 spay and neuter surgeries, helping reduce pet overpopulation, prevent unwanted litters, and keep more animals where they belong—with the people who love them. Our clinic is at the heart of Dakin's mission to provide vital resources to people while improving the lives of animals throughout our community.
As more pets and families turn to Dakin for affordable care, we're looking to grow our surgical team with a dedicated Spay & Neuter Veterinarian who shares our commitment to exceptional medicine and community impact.
In this role, you'll spend your day in surgery, performing up to 30–40 high-quality spay and neuter procedures for community-owned cats and dogs, feral cats, and shelter animals as needed. You’ll work with an outstanding support staff and help make veterinary care more accessible to the families who need it most.
We're hoping to find a full-time, 40 hour/week veterinarian, but we know great people don't always fit into a traditional schedule. If you're looking for part-time work, we'd still love to hear from you.
If you're ready to put your surgical skills to work where they'll have an immediate and lasting impact, we'd love to welcome you to Dakin!
To view the full job description, please visit our website at: www.dakinhumane.org/careers-with-dakin

* The ability to perform up to 30–40 high-quality spay and neuter surgeries per day in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for advancing animal welfare through accessible veterinary care.
* Dakin is committed to supporting recent graduates and candidates with limited HQHVSN experience by providing training and mentorship to those who demonstrate a genuine interest in building a long-term career in this area of veterinary medicine.
