- Ensures continuous telemetry monitoring is established and documentation is maintained.
- Ensures monitoring equipment is functioning correctly.
- Ensures dysrhythmias or rhythm changes are communicated timely.
- Maintains knowledge and skills related to dysrhythmia monitoring.
- Participates in quality improvement projects.
- Supports provision of age/developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the age groups served.
- Promotes efficient use of fiscal resources.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification / Registration / License: Successful completion of an approved dysrhythmia course during first week of hire and must pass dysrhythmia test during first week of orientation.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must have manual and finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required.

Full time 1st shift 7AM-330PM w/weekends and Holidays rotation
Pay Range:
$20.80 - $31.20- Processes and maintains proper care of all surgical instruments and equipment, scopes and powered surgical instruments which includes inspection, evaluation of proper function, cleaning disinfecting and sterilization. Maintains quality control and documentation records of the sterilization process. Distributes designated supplies and equipment to all areas of the medical center.
- Receives soiled and contaminated items in decontamination area. Sorts equipment, rinses as needed, places equipment through sonic tanks and washers, reassembles trays, performs safety checks, hangs and sorts instruments, wraps sets according to set policy, and wraps towels and basins appropriately.
- Sterilizes instruments and equipment using the aerator, gas sterilizer or steam sterilizer and operates glass dryer. Packages items in steri/peel as required. Performs quality assurance testing for all methods of sterilization to ensure sterility of supplies. Hand cleans miscellaneous instruments (Baxter pump, hypothermo units, etc.) and operates the cart cleaner.
- Ensures proper care and handling of high cost instrumentation and equipment to include items requiring special handling, laser instrumentation, orthopedic implants, cardiac assist devices, endoscopic and microscopic instrumentation.
- May build case carts according to procedure and physician preference as specified. File case cart sheets and requisitions, responds to Code 4s with defibrillator and back up supplies, maintains CPR annies, tests autoclaves with the tests according to procedure, and changes graphs as necessary.
- Checks incoming trays and follows up with departments as to missing instruments or parts.
- Takes immediate and appropriate action if a question of sterilizer failure occurs.
- Receives and records orders for supplies as requested by departments. Records accurate product number and assures all forms are correctly completed for proper billing. Marks, dates and stocks equipment, which may include returning to appropriate department on a timely basis.
- Opens and unpacks supply boxes, checking for damaged goods and number of items received. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor. Performs credits for unused products returned, checks stock levels, copies supply sheets, checks carts for outdated supplies, and performs general cleaning of shelves.
- May performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.

Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for large scale data analyses and model development, validation, and implementation
Proactively monitor and analyze complex systems to understand, diagnose, and continuously improve key performance indicators
Expertise in problem definition, i.e., able to translate business/research questions into analytical questions and translate analytical results into business/research solutions
Write statistical methodology and results for technical reports and publications
Manipulate, combine, and refine large databases to produce information suitable for analysis
Develop algorithms for data analysis and write computer code to implement them
Create graphics for data visualization and information display
Develop metrics and scorecards

Physical Requirements

Education, Experience and Certifications
Requires a PhD in Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Economics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or closely related areas. Minimum of 10 years professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the job requirements. At least 10 years of experience with SAS and/or R, other data mining tools, databases, and computer programming required; SAS certification preferred; experience with Enterprise Miner preferred. Experience with healthcare claims, pharmaceutical, and EHR data preferred. Excellent oral, written, and technical communication skills and a solid command of the English language; Demonstrated ability to communicate complex relationships and concepts using data to drive change. Experience in group presentation and public speaking.

The Laboratory Supervisor has overall responsibility for clinical laboratory and laboratory support functions within the Laboratories of VIPMS. The supervisor provides support for the staff of the individual laboratories and, in collaboration with the managers, plans, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the operation of the laboratories. The Laboratory Supervisor oversees compliance with all state regulatory bodies (OSHA, CLIA)..
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the activities of one or more laboratories and/or functions to effect unity of operation within all VIPMS laboratories. • In coordination with assigned management staff create and update area specific policy and procedures. • Conducts annual review of all lab policy and procedures with Administrative Officer. • Assists Health Record Systems manager to maintain interfaces with health record systems and outside lab vendors and equipment. • Work with Health Record Systems Manager to ensure that all needed lab attributes are being entered into the health record. • Conducts monthly audits of laboratories to ensure that all regulations are being met. • Ensures standardization lab equipment, procedures and supplies. • Modifies operations as necessary to prevent recurrence of same problem • Oversee compliance with CLIA regulations. • Manage CLIA and other site inspections for all VIPMS laboratories. • Ensure that routine CAP testing is performed appropriately, review results with assigned lab employee at each location; ensure that each lab has CAP ordered in compliance with industry standards. • Coordinate OSHA compliance in coordination with the Administrative Officer and assigned laboratory staff for all VIPMS locations. • Conduct bi-annual OSHA inspections, in conjunction with the office manager, to ensure overall clinic compliance to standards. • Analyzes and evaluates currently performed lab tests to identify areas where adjustments/improvements are needed. • Support development and training opportunities for laboratory staff. Act as resource for novice staff members as well as assisting experienced staff in problem-solving for complex situations. This is a limited-term position with an anticipated duration of approximately six months.Collects blood specimens, as well as receives, handles and processes specimens for Laboratory testing. Interacts with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, values, beliefs and behavior. Receives, sorts and accessions specimens, assigning to appropriate pre-analytic and analytic workflow. Completes computerized tasks related to patient registration and/or test order entry, specimen collection, receiving and processing. Performs basic post-analytic tasks, including distributing reports, storing and/or retrieving specimens. Completes quality-related tasks such as documentation of work, maintaining a clean, stocked and safe work area, and monitoring pending work, as well as escalating priority work. Operates and/or uses basic pre-analytic lab equipment. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

EDUCATION:
HS Diploma: High School or General Education Diploma (GED) provided prior to start date
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
CA Licensed Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) I or II
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge and practice of standard principles, processes, procedures, and equipment related to:
1) ordering Laboratory testing,
2) collecting blood specimens,
3) compassionately and effectively interacting with patients,
4) handling and processing biological specimens routinely submitted to the Laboratory for analysis.
Ability to accurately, precisely, and reliably perform job duties and assigned tasks.
1) Ability to organize and prioritize job duties and assigned tasks for completion within expected timeframes.
2) Ability to compassionately and effectively interact with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, values, beliefs and behaviors.
Workflow Management Ability to appropriately respond to:
1) fluctuations in volume,
2) unexpected situations or problems such as equipment or IS failure,
3) shift-to-shift hand-offs,
4) STAT test orders,
5) specimen integrity issues,
6) regular review of pending logs, priority assignments, etc.
Adherence to Practices & Procedures:
1) Ability to follow standard practices, processes, and procedures in sequence.
2) Knowledge of applicable local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures aimed at ensuring the privacy and safety of patients.
