Anoka Equine Veterinary Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. This is a part-time position averaging 30 hours every other week, with a consistent Thursday–Saturday overnight schedule. This position has the option of full-time hours averaging 33 hours per week. It is a consistent Thursday-Saturday overnight, continued by Tuesday-Thursday daytime hours the following week.
As a member of our experienced veterinary team, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality medical and emergency care to our equine patients. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands-on patient care, working closely with veterinarians, and being part of a collaborative emergency and referral hospital.
*Primary Duties*
Primary responsibilities will focus on direct patient care, technical nursing skills, and collaboration with our veterinarians, including:
* Performing and documenting physical examinations and patient assessments
* Administering IV, IM, and oral medications and treatments
* Monitoring IV fluid administration and patient response
* Performing laboratory testing and processing samples
* Obtaining and editing diagnostic radiographs while following appropriate radiation safety protocols
* Preparing patients for anesthesia and assisting with induction, maintenance, and recovery
* Monitoring anesthetized patients, including vital parameters and depth of anesthesia, and communicating changes to the veterinary team
* Providing care and monitoring for hospitalized and emergency patients
* Assisting with emergency appointments and surgical procedures
* Communicating directly with veterinarians regarding patient status, treatment plans, and changes in condition
* Safely handling and restraining horses
* Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
* Supporting the veterinary team in providing efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care
*Qualifications*
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program
* Be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in good standing
* Have strong equine handling skills and experience working safely with horses

*Locums Therapy Medical Physicist*

This Position Description (PD) defines the program, training, and technical support services required for a board-certified therapeutic medical physicist (TMP). This is a locums position. The start date is targeted for September 2025 (a start in October is also a possibility). The work is on-site and in-person, and your presence in clinic is expected during normal business hours: 8: 00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday though Friday.
The work site is at the Minneapolis VAMC. The clinic address is: 1 Veterans Dr, Minneapolis, MN 55417.
*POSITION DUTIES:*
The medical physicist shall perform weekly chart checks, plan approvals, QA checks, and IMRT. Work is located at the Minneapolis VAMC Clinic which hosts 2 TrueBeam Linacs, 2 physicists, 2 dosimetrists, 6 radiation therapists, 2 physicians, and 15 to 20 patients per day total (fairly low workload). The physicist may perform work after normal business hours to complete calibrations and measurements once patient treatments are finished.
The physicist must be board-certified in therapeutic medical physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and must also have the following minimum years of experience on the following procedures, equipment, and software listed below under the “Relevant Experience” section.
*Relevant Experience:*
* Two (2) years experience in a Varian-based clinic (TrueBeam Linac).
* Two (2) years of experience: Documentation detailing experience in performing QA procedures.
* One (1) year of experience: Documentation detailing Therapeutic Medical Physics in a healthcare system that is ACR or ASTRO/APEX certified.
* One (1) year of experience: Brain Lab Accessories following standards of TG-142.
* One (1) year of experience: Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) including Cone Beam CT (following standards of TG-142).
* One (1) year of experience: Eclipse treatment planning system; and ARIA record & verify system, including the following treatment modalities: 2D/3DConformal, SRS, SRT, SBRT, and IMRT/VMAT (following standards of TG-53).
* One (1) year of experience: IMRT QA: MapCheck I/II (or equivalent).
* One (1) year of experience: Toshiba CT Simulator (or equivalent) and following standards of TG-66.
* One (1) year of experience (optional): Using Superficial X-ray Machine.
*Education and Certification:*
* Master's Degree or higher is required. PhD is preferred.
* Must be Board-Certified with at least two years of continuous working experience within the last three (3) years to ensure TMP’s experience is current and relevant.

Third (Nights)Overview:
As a Patient Care Technician with Sentara Health, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills. From taking vitals to blood draws and daily care. The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Must have one or more of the following:
- Graduate of Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
- Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School
- Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic
- Current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of a (RN, LPN, RT or PT) or current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.
Experience

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.93 - $27.41 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
