Sentara Obici Hospital, a 175-bed state-of-the-art facility, is located on Godwin Boulevard in Suffolk, VA. Our full-service hospital continues a legacy of providing residents of Western Tidewater with high-quality, patient-centered care. As a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, the hospital specializes in orthopedic and spine, heart and vascular, advanced imaging, gynecological and comprehensive breast services, behavioral health, maternity, weight loss surgery, and a heartburn treatment center.
Role Summary
The Hospitalist Physician provides inpatient medical care to the adult patient population, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support quality, safety, and efficient patient flow.

Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $256,505.60 - $353,808.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Position Overview

The Medical Director will provide clinical and operational leadership for the anesthesia program while continuing an active clinical practice. This role will be a 90% clinical and 10% administrative split.

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medical Oncology seek a Hematologist/Oncologist (MD or DO) qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Hematology/Oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed Internal Medicine residency program, as well as Hematology/Oncology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Hematology/Oncology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Summary:
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist provides exercise and fitness screening, testing, and counseling and develops and implements exercise prescriptions for patients with chronic diseases. Evaluates patient progress in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Medical Fitness programs. Recommends appropriate modifications to exercise prescriptions. Reassesses and documents 30-day patient progress and medical fitness reports in compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) time requirements.Conducts and evaluates clinical stress tests, performing continuous patient assessment through electrocardiogram monitoring and observation of physiological responses, including symptoms, appearance, heart rate, and blood pressure.Develops and documents discharge treatment plan with patient (and his/her family), physician and rehab staff.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.Delivers high-quality patient care by assessing goals and needs through intake evaluations and test result interpretation, developing safe and effective exercise prescriptions, and creating and documenting individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders, medical history, patient limitations, and goals.Delivers inpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services by assessing patient eligibility, providing education, and developing and implementing individualized exercise prescriptions as appropriate. Join Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and Sentara Health in making a significant impact in the field of neurology at the Lawrence J. Goldrich Institute for Integrated Neuro-Health. This full-time, outpatient-only position within the Sentara Medical Group (SMG) Division of Neurology is for a Fellowship-Trained Movement Disorders Neurologist. Candidates will obtain an EVMS faculty appointment in the Department of Neurology, providing opportunities for academic growth, resident education, and research.
This unique position will build upon Sentara's well-established Comprehensive Movement Disorders Program, which currently includes an experienced Movement Disorders Neurologist, two highly experienced Movement Disorders Physician Assistants, and a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the care of patients with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia, Huntington's disease, and other movement disorders.
The program works closely with an established Functional Neurosurgery program offering Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS), providing patients with state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment options. Candidates will benefit from a strong referral base, comprehensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy support, and an established pipeline of patients throughout the region.
This exciting joint opportunity offers the best of both worlds by combining a private practice model with academic opportunity. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $602,680.00 - $873,600.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
