As a Laboratory Technician 2 at the BURL Outreach Clinical Laboratory in Santa Clarita, you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations and providing high-quality phlebotomy services. Your duties will include:
•Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
•Prepare specimens for analysis.
•Assist in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays.

Under the general direction of the Manager of Support Services and Supervisors of Support Services the Anesthesia Tech/Patient Specialty Services Tech primary function is to assist the anesthesiologist in preparation of equipment needed to administer anesthesia; setting up invasive lines for patient monitoring, performing cell saving procedures, setting up laser and video equipment and assisting in laser procedures, setting up other O.R. equipment and performing clerical and coordinating duties as assigned by OR Leadership. Job duties will be performed following department protocols and manufacturer’s recommendations in operating equipment; adherence to established procedures based on anesthesiologist’s preference in setting up invasive lines.
- We strongly prefer candidates with either certifications recognized by ASATT: Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) or Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.).
- Experience with Rapid Transfuser and invasive intravenous patient lines required.
- Skills in setting priorities, organizing workload effectively and integrating multiple assignments with multilevel personnel.
- Skill in speaking English language with medical/surgical terminology.
- Ability to comply with department standards inclusive of attendance, dress code and varied work schedule.
- Knowledge of Infection control and health surveillance, OSHA, Universal Precautions, Waste Management, handling of hazardous substances and medical Device Act.

At the level of Principal EEG Technologist, it is expected that the individual show self-direction and initiative with minimal supervision. The basic elements of EEG and EP acquisition should already be mastered as well as artifact detection/elimination skills. Advanced techniques are mastered and applied independently at this level, such as intra-operative monitoring of complex procedures. The technologist should be able to describe EEG and EP findings to junior faculty in a review-style format. Principal EEG Technologists must be flexible enough to learn new and advanced protocols when needed. Principal Technologists should serve as resources for junior staff. They are also expected to take responsibility for certain specific aspects of laboratory organization and serve as the lead lab team member in those individual areas of responsibility. The Principal Technologist will maintain ABRET registration credentials as a registered EEG and/or a Certified Neurological Intra-operative Monitorist (CNIM). They are also expected to acquire continuing education units as recommended by the national accrediting body in the field, and keep up to date with changes and advances in the field.
A minimum of three years of experience in the related fields is required for the PRN EEG title. Those who do not meet those requirements will be considered for the EEG Technologist title.
Staff Technologist Salary Range: $44.12 - $58.19/Hourly
Senior Technologist Salary Range: $47.78 - $63.04/Hourly
Principal Technologist Salary Range: $63.25 - $83.45/Hourly

- Writes a comprehensive patient history gathering appropriate information from patient, patient’s record and family members to include seizure types, date of last seizure, other neurological symptomatology and medications.
- Explains test procedure to patient and family members present. Modifies communication based on age, developmental level and background of patient.
- Performs EEG record according to the standards of the laboratory (routine sleep, bedside and electro cerebral silence recordings)
- Implements alternative methods or adjusts control to obtain optimal recording. This may include appropriate control setting changes on the machine, use of extra electrodes, extra montages and use of activation procedures.
- Recognizes artifact (patient or environmental). Documents, eliminates or takes proper measures to monitor the artifact.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a 1 year program for EEG Technologists and/or Registered by the American Board of Registered EEG Technologists with one year of experience performing electroencephalograms.

Utilize bar code scanning technology, as provided, to capture electronic signatures and order delivery / receipt confirmation record. 3)Coordinate reviewing and obtaining all non-compliant product placed into any green bin within any assigned inventory location at a frequency assigned, or no less that once a week of a frequency is not assigned, transporting all such inventory back to General Stores. Enter all such product obtained from the green bins into the standardized on-line database in a timely manner. 4)Be responsible for returning all General Stores equipment used for Distribution to General Stores when such use is complete. 5)Coordinate product returns from assigned requisitioning locations back to the General Stores. Picking 1)Be responsible for picking a minimum of 100 lines per hour, achieving this benchmark within a period of time determined to be acceptable by the Supply Chain Leader, but at no time picking less than 60 lines per hour. NOTE: The lines per hour pick time is intended to be fully inclusive of all the complete replenishment to the respective point-of-use location, thereby taking into account pick time, travel time to the department, and replenishment time. Pick all orders requested by unit department by time basis unless directed by lead in shift. 2)Be responsible at all times for the accuracy of your respective inventory picks. Be responsible for the cycle count error generated within your inventory area of responsibility within the General Stores or, if different, the inventory locations you are assigned to pick product. Develop a corrective action plan to mitigate the cycle count errors generated from your respective area of inventory responsibility. Chart a trend chart of the cycle count error rate, by quarter, for your respective inventory location. Maintain the trend chart on the General Stores Quality Board, identifying your trend chart with your name and inventory location. Non-Conforming Policy and Procedure Management 1)Be responsible for analyzing the non-conforming product incident rate by SKU for any assigned inventory location. Be responsible for making process improvement recommendations to the Supply Chain Director or their designee in regard to actions to mitigate the recurrence of non-conforming supplies. 2)Be responsible to maintain the non-conforming green bins, placards and laminated job aids in all inventory locations, as assigned. 3)Be responsible for rotating all stock located in the respective inventory location bins or kardex, ensuring a first expired, first out (FEFO) approach. The Anesthesia Technician is a vital member of the Anesthesia Care Team, committed to ensuring safe and effective anesthetic experiences. This role encompasses a variety of technical responsibilities, including cleaning and calibrating anesthesia machines, stocking supplies, and monitoring equipment quality. Essential Functions
- Checks, calibrates, restocks, prepares, and maintains basic anesthesia equipment and supply carts across all areas supported by the anesthesia team.
- Ensures all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning according to standards.
- Assists with room turnover and prepares anesthesia equipment for subsequent procedures.
- Manages the collection, cleaning, and proper processing of contaminated anesthesia equipment following procedures.
- Disinfects and cleans anesthesia equipment, the surrounding environment, and instrumentation in accordance with the manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFU).
- Transports patients, including low-acuity patients, ensuring safe and efficient movement to and from the operating room and other designated areas.
- Performs Point-of-Care testing, including conducting and maintaining quality control procedures, and sterilizes equipment using appropriate methods.

POSITION SUMMARY

Position Purpose
The Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling inpatient and outpatient procedures, tests, and surgeries across multiple facilities. This role ensures efficient use of provider schedules, communicates with patients and physicians, and adheres to departmental and insurance requirements. The Scheduler also handles preauthorization, manages clinic schedules to enhance patient experience and productivity, and triages incoming calls appropriately.
