*Responsibilities*

* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain patient oral health.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral conditions.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear communication.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, supporting dental assisting activities efficiently.
* Collaborate with the dental team including receptionists and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences.

*Experience*

* Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures is preferred.
* Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices relevant to dental care documentation.
* Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
* Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management.
* Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs measurement and medical documentation accuracy.
* Experience supporting diverse dental specialties such as orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, or periodontics is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills combined with a professional attitude toward patient care and team collaboration.

Minden Dental is seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established, privately owned practice. We are looking for someone who values high-quality patient care, enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, and wants to practice in an environment that respects both patients and providers.

*Schedule*

* Two days per week or Four days per week available
* No evenings
* No weekends
* Consistent schedule with the ability to leave on time
* Preferred start date: November 2026

*Compensation & Benefits*

* Starting pay: *$53/hour with benefits ($60/hour without benefits)*

*Clinical Environment*

At Minden Dental, we believe in providing the time and support necessary to deliver excellent care.

* Adult prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance appointments are scheduled for *60 minutes*.
* SRP appointments are scheduled according to patient needs and may be up to *2 hours*.
* If every patient were a prophy appointment, the schedule would average approximately *8 patients per day*.
* Comprehensive annual periodontal examinations are performed for all patients.
* We utilize laser therapy as an adjunct to improve periodontal outcomes.
* Our focus is on long-term oral health and evidence-based periodontal care.
