ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join an outpatient rehabilitation center at a community hospital serving New Hampshire's North Country. This center provides specialized, evidence-based care to patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery across the lifespan. This is a permanent, direct hire, full-time position for a clinician who wants to make a genuine difference in patients' functional recovery and quality of life. You'll evaluate and treat patients using diverse modalities, supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered care experience.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
This community hospital has served the North Country region of New Hampshire for generations, with a mission centered on being the hospital of choice for the community. It has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work, reflecting its commitment to supporting and investing in its staff. The rehabilitation center is known for:

* A dedicated outpatient rehab team providing comprehensive care with diverse therapy modalities (manual therapy, aquatic therapy, vestibular rehab, Graston technique, biofeedback, and more)
* Patient-focused scheduling: 90-minute evaluation blocks and 45-minute follow-ups — time to give each patient the care they deserve
* Small team environment where clinicians work closely across disciplines and get to know their patients and colleagues well
* Culture built around clinical excellence, mentorship, and collaboration — experienced PTs are expected to supervise and support PTAs and students
* Emphasis on clinical autonomy and evidence-based practice, with PTs encouraged to bring ideas and participate in departmental process improvement
* _We are also actively hiring Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for this same center._

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

* Evaluating patients and developing written, individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and evidence-based practice
* Delivering therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, aquatic therapy, vestibular rehab, Graston technique, and biofeedback
* Reassessing patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed; communicating updates to physicians and the care team
* Documenting all treatments and outcomes in accordance with department policy and billing requirements using WebPT
* Educating patients, families, and nursing staff to support continued recovery and safety
* Supervising and coordinating care with Physical Therapist Assistants and student clinicians
* Incorporating discharge planning and long-term functional goals into every care plan
* Ensuring services meet the age-specific and psychosocial needs of each patient
* Contributing to unit-based research and continuous improvement efforts

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:

* Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Physical Therapy (DPT)
* Current PT license in New Hampshire and Vermont (or eligible for temporary licensure)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

* Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, or orthopedics
* Experience supervising PTAs or students

LIFE IN WOODSVILLE, NH
Beyond the role itself, Woodsville sits along the Connecticut River at the New Hampshire–Vermont border, right at the edge of the White Mountains. It's four-season outdoor country — hiking, skiing, fishing, water sports, and small-town New England living, with a lower cost of living than most metro areas and larger medical centers within about an hour's drive. It's a great fit for clinicians who want a genuine community feel both at work and at home.

WHY THIS ROLE
Permanent PT roles with direct hire status, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, education loan repayment, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package don't come around often. If you're drawn to diverse patient populations and want to bring skilled, compassionate care to people at a pivotal moment in their recovery, this is a place to do meaningful work, build professional relationships, and give back to a community that trusts this team with their care. No contracts or travel required. This role is moving quickly, so apply today to be considered. You will be employed directly by the facility.
